Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term Review – 1 Month Report

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 12
Similar silhouette as before but the new Maruti Dzire does look the part!

Sedans have long been the workhorses of the Indian market and when it comes to value-for-money models, nothing beats the Maruti Dzire. The fourth generation of the Maruti Dzire introduced several features that customers had been asking for and it also became the first Maruti sedan to earn a 5-star safety rating. We had the top-of-the-line Maruti Dzire AMT for a month and it was an absolute treat with so many shoots lined up, I knew exactly how we’d be munching those miles in comfort and efficiency!

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 24

The Maruti Dzire is no stranger to us, this sedan has been around since 2008 and has received four generation updates over the past 13 years. The latest generation is offered only with petrol and CNG options, powered by the new 1.2-litre Z-series three-cylinder engine that produces 80 BHP and 112 Nm of torque. The numbers might not sound particularly exciting but somehow the Dzire always gets the job done. It’s not exceptionally quick or blisteringly fast but the engine feels lively and once you get used to the 5-speed AMT, it comes across as responsive and eager to move.

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 15
Dual tone interior with a nice floating infotainment screen, the Dzire feels simple yet premium

One of our shoots took us across three cities in three days, and the Maruti Dzire served as our primary vehicle. We began in Thane, then headed to Alibaug and finally to Pune for customer ownership video shoots before returning to Mumbai. Over the three days, we clocked more than 470 kms and surprisingly, we weren’t tired at all. With three people on board, a boot full of camera equipment and riding gear, the Dzire felt planted and composed throughout the journey. The only thing that bothered us was the AMT gearbox’s behaviour over speed breakers and potholes. At times, when I slowed down and tried to let the car glide in second gear, it would downshift to first just to gain a bit of extra momentum.

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 17
Light fabric seats give a good airy feel inside but are heavily prone to staining

While the downshift to first gear wasn’t really a problem, the gearbox tuning was clearly focused on fuel efficiency, often upshifting to higher gears sooner than expected. All of this feels justified when the display shows an average fuel economy of just over 17 km/l. Throughout the month, the Dzire consistently returned double-digit mileage figures, even during the worst traffic commutes. The lowest we recorded was 10.2 km/l, while the best was an impressive 21 km/l. The only thing we had to be cautious about was keeping the interiors clean, as the bright beige fabric, designed to make the cabin feel airy, was quite prone to staining.

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 26
Little over 500 kms in one fuel tank and an average mileage of 17+ km/l, the Maruti Dzire stays desirable

We drove the Maruti Dzire during peak monsoon, and the AC was never an issue. Maruti cars are quick to cool the cabin, and the Dzire was no exception. However, rain did pose some visibility challenges. While the rear defogger worked flawlessly, the front windshield would still fog up from the bottom. Driving at night, the LED headlights illuminated the road very well, but even a thin layer of dirt or muck on the glass cover could reduce visibility in unlit areas. A quick wipe, combined with the additional LED fog lamps, kept complaints to an absolute minimum.

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 1
Quick wash after a long drive, the Maruti Dzire looks good as new!

Throughout the month, the Dzire was driven by multiple people, some using Android phones and others iPhones. The seamless connectivity and smooth performance of the wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were particularly impressive. Not once did the infotainment screen glitch and the music from the 6-speaker setup sounded great. I frequently used the wireless charger, which offered adequate charging speed and the cup holders just ahead of the gear lever proved extremely handy for keeping phones, keys, wallets and other small items within easy reach. The 360-degree camera was one of the major highlights as parking was a breeze with it.

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 9
Bootspace is enough to gulp in a lot of luggage

At first, I thought I might have a complaint about the tyres being a bit narrow, especially during the rainy season, I expected the confidence levels to dip. However, to my surprise, the dynamics of the new Maruti Dzire, combined with the decent grip of the tyres, never made the car feel unstable. We rarely pushed it to the limit and during long drives, it never suffered a puncture. The TPMS system would normally alert you to any pressure loss, but one of the tyres had its TPMS valve removed and kept inside the car, which kept the warning light on throughout the month. In total, we had just one puncture, which occurred due to flooded and badly damaged roads.

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 3
Drives just as smooth as it looks

This was probably the shortest long-term test we’ve ever had, the month flew by so quickly! The Maruti Dzire AMT in the ZXI+ trim also comes with a sunroof, which we used during our drives, making the cabin feel even more airy. After covering over 1200 kms in a month, including shoots and regular commutes, the Dzire felt like home: simple, convenient, and effortlessly getting the job done. There were no persistent issues to bother us and it remained as comfortable as one could ask for. For its budget and target customer, the Maruti Dzire is truly a desirable package.

Maruti Dzire AMT Long Term 22
The new Maruti Dzire ticks all the boxes, be it safety or features, completes the desires

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ Arriving In India To Take On Scorpio N

GaadiWaadi -

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ (5)

Launching around the festive season of 2028, the Land Cruiser FJ will come with strong hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains while no diesel engine will be offered

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ had its world premiere last week in the brand’s home country Japan. It is also being exhibited at the company’s booth at the ongoing 2025 Japan Mobility Show. Now, our friends at AutoCar India report that the Land Cruiser FJ will be launched in India during the festive season of 2028, which is exactly three years away from now. Though Toyota had stated that the deliveries of the new SUV will start by mid 2026 in Japan, the public in India will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the Land Cruiser FJ.

The ‘FJ’ in Land Cruiser stands for Freedom and Joy as the SUV is built on the same IMV architecture as the Fortuner and Hilux. Measuring slightly over 4.5 metres in length, the new FJ borrows the boxy silhouette and upright stance from its larger sibling, the Land Cruiser Prado. The Autocar report further adds that the India-spec model of the SUV will be introduced with strong hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options while there will be no diesel engine on offer.

Having a width, height and wheelbase of 1,855 mm, 1,960 mm and 2,580 mm, it comes in a two-row seating configuration to accommodate five adults. The SUV is claimed to be a highly capable off-roader vehicle despite the smaller size. The ground clearance is pegged at 215 mm while the turning radius stands at 5.5 metres. The Land Cruiser FJ is equipped with braces under the floor.

A few notable design highlights include removable heavy bumpers, side cladding, C-shaped lights, and external spare wheel at the rear. The SUV can also be had with round headlamps which are inspired by previous-gen models of the Land Cruiser. It is introduced with Toyota Safety Sense which offers advanced safety features including the Pre-collision Safety System.

Talking about the cabin, it resembles the Land Cruiser Prado with circular AC vents, massive grab handles, physical buttons and switches. The centre console houses the 12.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The digital instrument cluster appears to be quite ordinary while the material used in the upholstery, seats and dashboard look rather hard-wearing than premium.

Under the bonnet, the Land Cruiser FJ packs a 2.7L 4-cylinder petrol engine which generates max power of 161 bhp and peak torque of 246 Nm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed automatic gearbox which transmits the power to all the four wheels via a part-time four-wheel drive (4WD) system. It will be the entry-level model in the Land Cruiser line-up.

The Land Cruiser FJ will be at loggerheads with Mahindra Thar Roxx, Force Gurkha, and Maruti Suzuki Jimny in the Indian market. It could be positioned between the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Fortuner in the domestic market with prices starting around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

BMW F 450 GS_-2

BMW F 450 GS will be equipped with a new 450 cc parallel-twin engine, developed jointly by BMW and TVS Motor Company

BMW Motorrad is preparing to pull the wraps off its newest middleweight adventure tourer, the F 450 GS, at the upcoming EICMA show in Milan. Serving as the smallest member of the GS family, this new motorcycle will look to lure in riders seeking a lighter, more approachable adv that still carries BMW’s trademark long-haul comfort and build quality.

Ahead of its world debut soon, here are the five key highlights that make this motorcycle one of the most anticipated launches of the year and it will arrive at Indian shores in 2026:

1. Official Debut at EICMA 2025

BMW has confirmed through a teaser on social media that the production-spec F 450 GS will make its global premiere at the EICMA show in early November. The brief clip shows off parts of the fuel tank, new GS-style graphics and a slimmer body design hinting at a more agile stance. The motorcycle has been undergoing extensive testing across multiple markets.

2. First Seen in India as a Concept

Indian enthusiasts were among the first to see this motorcycle in the flesh when BMW showcased the F 450 GS Concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 earlier this year. The prototype hinted at the brand’s plan to strengthen its presence in the 400–500 cc adventure bike category. Later spy shots of test units confirmed that the production model would retain much of the concept’s styling and stance, complete with the iconic beak and asymmetrical headlamp design synonymous with the GS badge.

3. New Twin-Cylinder Engine Developed With TVS

At the heart of the new F 450 GS lies a new 450 cc parallel-twin engine, developed jointly by BMW and TVS Motor Company. This liquid-cooled, DOHC unit is expected to produce about 48 bhp, making it among the most powerful motorcycles in its segment. BMW is targeting smooth throttle response and a broad torque band, ideal for both trail riding and long distance touring. There’s also talk of a semi-automatic transmission being offered alongside the six-speed manual unit.

4. New Frame and Touring Setup

The motorcycle will sit on an all-new lightweight trellis frame. The suspension setup will feature upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, both are expected to be fully adjustable. It must be noted that the new BMW F 450 GS won’t be a hardcore off-roader due to its 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup.

5. Feature Rich

As expected from BMW’s GS lineup, the F 450 GS will come loaded with advanced electronics and premium kit. The list includes full-LED lighting, a 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, multiple riding modes, cornering ABS and traction control. All these features were previewed on the concept bike and are likely to make it unchanged to the final version.

The BMW F 450 GS is likely to reach Indian showrooms sometime in 2026 with an estimated price tag of around Rs. 5.5 lakh to 6 lakh (ex-showroom). When it arrives, it will compete against the Honda NX500, upcoming Kawasaki KLE500, Brixton Storr 500, CFMoto 450 MT, etc.

BYD has made its first-ever appearance at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The Chinese EV powerhouse arrived in Tokyo with two major unveilings, the Racco K-EV and the Sealion 6 DM-i, both developed specifically for Japan. The star of the stand was the Racco, a compact all-electric K-EV which combines BYD’s global EV expertise with Japan’s kei car philosophy.

Sharing the spotlight was the Sealion 6 DM-i, the company’s first plug-in hybrid for Japan, forming part of a broader “EV + PHEV” strategy. Carrying the theme “One BYD”, the company’s pavilion showed its unified vision that now composes passenger and commercial vehicles alike. From small city cars to heavy-duty electric buses, the display captured BYD’s wide-ranging capability.

The stand featured the Racco and Sealion 6 DM-i alongside models like the Atto 3, Dolphin, Seal and the wild Yangwang U9 supercar from BYD’s luxury brand. Since its entry into Japan in 2022, BYD has built a strong base with models such as the Atto 3 and Dolphin gaining steady traction. With the introduction of the Racco and Sealion 6 DM-i, the brand moves closer to its goal of launching up to eight electrified models in Japan by 2027.

2 Big SUV Launches Waiting To Happen In November 2025 In India

GaadiWaadi -

Sierra SUV

Hyundai will introduce its new generation Venue next week while Tata is planning to bring in the new Sierra on November 25

The month of November 2025 is shaping up to be quite eventful for SUV enthusiasts in India. Two of the most anticipated launches – Hyundai’s new-gen Venue and Tata’s reborn Sierra – are ready to make their way into showrooms. Hyundai’s compact SUV is scheduled for its official reveal on November 4 whereas Tata Motors will roll out the Sierra on November 25.

Interestingly, Tata’s approach looks to have shifted from its earlier plan. Instead of debuting the electric Sierra first, the brand will introduce the petrol and diesel versions ahead of the EV. The zero-emission iteration will follow later and is expected to offer two battery configurations with a range of over 500 km on a single charge – a setup that could share several components with the Harrier EV.

For the ICE Sierra, Tata may bring in three versions of its 1.5-litre engine – a naturally aspirated petrol, a turbocharged TGDi petrol and a diesel. The new TGDi unit is rumoured to produce around 168 PS and 280 Nm and might eventually make its way into the Harrier and Safari lineups. Buyers can expect both six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic transmissions as part of the drivetrain options.

To likely be priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), the Sierra will take aim at heavyweights like the Hyundai Creta. In terms of design, it gets curved rear windows, chunky wheel arches and upright stance which is a nod to the original icon while modern finishes like split LED headlamps, connected LED bars, 19-inch alloy wheels, etc will be offered.

On the inside, the SUV will host a triple screen layout – individual displays for the driver, infotainment and front passenger. The dashboard adopts a dual-tone finish complemented by a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Other highlights include a Harman sound system, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, powered driver’s seat, and so on.

Meanwhile, bookings for Hyundai’s new Venue have commenced online and through dealerships. It is larger than before – 48 mm taller, 30 mm wider and with a 20 mm longer wheelbase. The new model features a dark chrome grille flanked by quad-beam LEDs and a continuous horizon light bar up front while a full-width LED strip and reshaped bumpers highlight the rear.

The interior now follows Hyundai’s latest H-theme design philosophy featuring terrazzo-like textures and a dual-tone Dark Navy and Dove Grey colour scheme. The headline feature is the twin 12.3-inch panoramic curved displays running Hyundai’s NVIDIA-powered connected car system. With over 70 connected features, 400+ voice commands across five Indian languages, an 8-speaker Bose setup, and OTA updates for 20 control units, the Venue’s tech arsenal is almost unmatched in its class.

Exclusive! Toyota Land Cruiser FJ Detailed Walkaround From Japan

GaadiWaadi -

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ (4)

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is underpinned by the same IMV platform found in the Fortuner and Hilux and it derives power from a 2.7L petrol engine

Toyota has taken the wraps off the all-new Land Cruiser FJ at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show and here we have linked you the exclusive walkaround from the event. Set for a mid-2026 market debut in Japan, the new Land Cruiser FJ will expand the nameplate’s global portfolio but it is specifically restricted to Southeast Asian and other markets as it won’t be available in developed markets like the United States and Europe.

It traces its heritage back to 1951, when the original Toyota BJ famously climbed to the sixth station of Mount Fuji. Over seven decades and more than 12 million units later, the Land Cruiser continues to set the cash registers ringing and the FJ in particular will be rolled out of Thailand. The current Land Cruiser lineup includes three distinct families: the flagship 300 Series, the workhorse 70 Series and the back-to-basics 250 Series.

The Land Cruiser FJ joins this group as a new interpretation of “Freedom and Joy.” Visually, its square cabin design prioritises practicality and space while the flared fenders and muscular bumpers lend a planted stance. Both front and rear bumpers are modular and removable, allowing owners to replace only the damaged sections – an approach that improves serviceability and enhances customisation.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior’s “dice motif” bodywork and chamfered edges as the FJ is said to be a highly capable off-roader despite its compact size. A horizontal dashboard layout helps drivers read the terrain intuitively according to Toyota while a low cowl and thin A-pillars improve the view of the road ahead. The controls are grouped logically to minimise distraction and the shift knob is said to be ergonomically placed.

The SUV also features Toyota Safety Sense, offering advanced driver aids like pre-collision braking and lane assistance. Underneath, the Land Cruiser FJ shares its platform with Toyota’s IMV series. The shorter wheelbase – 270 mm less than the 250 Series – is said to translate into better manoeuvrability and it also boasts a tight 5.5-metre turning radius.

Ground clearance and wheel articulation are on par with the hardcore 70 Series while braced underbody components and higher body rigidity improve stability and handling on all surfaces. Toyota will also offer an array of accessories to enhance personalisation including round retro-style headlights to MOLLE panels for outdoor gear.

Under the hood, the LC FJ packs Toyota’s 2.7-litre 2TR-FE four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox and a part-time 4WD system. It produces 163 PS and 246 Nm of torque. With its compact footprint – 4,575 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, and 1,960 mm tall – the new Land Cruiser FJ is expected to make a huge impact and it could be considered for India as the platform and engine lineup are already heavily localised for Fortuner.

India’s First CNG Scooter Launch Likely Next Year

TVS-JUPITER-CNG.jpg

Expected to go on sale sometime next year, the TVS Jupiter CNG will be the first scooter in the Indian market to use alternative fuel

The market for CNG cars has grown considerably in India in the past few years, presented as an alternative to petrol with the advantages of high fuel efficiency and low running costs. Bajaj introduced CNG in the two-wheeler segment with the Freedom 125, which was launched in July 2024.

Now, TVS Motor Company is preparing to launch the first CNG scooter in the country. The Jupiter CNG was showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo in concept form. Expected to go on sale around mid-2026, it will be presented as the world’s first CNG scooter.

As seen in the concept, the CNG tank will be placed neatly under the seat, and it will be properly covered with a plastic panel, however, it will eat into the boot space you generally find in ICE scooters. It will use a 1.4 kg CNG tank, and it can go up to 84 kilometres on 1 kg CNG.

In addition to this, the TVS Jupiter will use a bi-fuel technology, much like CNG cars, capable of running on both petrol and CNG. It comes with a small 2-litre petrol tank positioned in the floorboard, and the filler nozzle is present at its conventional front apron area.

The filler nozzle and pressure gauge for CNG will be present in the boot area, which means that the customers will have to open the lid to access the nozzle. As per the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, the total combined range of the TVS Jupiter CNG will stand at 226 kilometres.

The TVS Jupiter CNG will be powered by a 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, putting out 7.1 bhp and 9.4 Nm of peak torque. It will be capable of hitting a top speed of 80 kmph.

Apart from this, the TVS Jupiter will remain more or less the same as the regular Jupiter, in terms of design, hardware and tech, albeit with the CNG badging. The company could go for different colour options and body graphics for the CNG-powered scooter. In terms of features, expect the Jupiter CNG to pack the latest tech that we see in ICE scooters of the same segment.

Honda 0 α (Alpha) EV Revealed, India Launch Confirmed For 2027

The production version of the Honda 0 α (Alpha) EV has been scheduled to go on sale by 2027 with Japan and India among its primary launch markets

Honda has unveiled the Honda 0 α (Alpha) prototype at the ongoing 2025 Japan Mobility Show – offering a glimpse into the brand’s next generation of electric SUVs. The concept has been showcased at Honda’s booth between October 29 and November 9 as it becomes the latest addition to the brand’s all-electric Honda 0 Series.

Positioned as the entry model into the Honda 0 lineup, the Alpha joins the Honda 0 Saloon and the Honda 0 SUV – both revealed earlier this year at CES 2025. Unlike its siblings, the Alpha focuses on combining urban driving with outdoor versatility and is designed to feel at ease both in the city and in natural surroundings according to the brand.

Developed under Honda’s “Thin, Light, and Wise” philosophy, the Honda 0 α (Alpha) prototype emphasises a more futuristic and streamlined structure, lighter construction and advanced intelligent systems. The production version has been scheduled to go on sale globally by 2027 with Japan and India among its primary launch markets.

The 0 α’s low-slung profile sticks out for its sleek proportions that retain the practicality generally offered by SUVs without sacrificing ground clearance. This has been achieved through Honda’s “Thin” packaging concept – allowing a slender cabin design that still delivers ample interior space and more importantly, comfort. A wide stance and taut surfaces lend it a stable appearance.

Up front, Honda has reimagined the design by integrating typically separate elements into a single, seamless digital fascia. The headlights, illuminated emblem and charging port cover are housed within one continuous screen area. At the rear, a U-shaped light bar merges the tail lamps, indicators, and reverse lights into one cohesive structure.

Overall, the styling theme creates a distinctive visual identity while enhancing visibility and functionality as the clean and rather undisturbed surfaces along with thick wheel arch cladding and dual-tone alloy wheels on the outside make for an appealing presence.

The prominent U-shaped LED lighting element stretching from pillar to pillar with Honda writing in the middle is another unique trait. The front and rear bumpers look muscular but the upright nose with inverted U-shaped light bar make for a subtle finish. We can expect it to be offered in two battery packs with the claimed range going over 500 km between charges upon arrival in India and may compete in the midsize SUV space.

Renault-announces-the-return-of-the-iconic-Duster-1.jpg

Renault has officially announced that the new generation Duster will be unveiled in India on January 26, 2026 before going on sale

After months of speculation, Renault has finally lifted the curtain on one of its biggest announcements yet as the legendary Duster nameplate is making a comeback. The French automaker has confirmed that its upcoming midsize SUV for India will wear the Duster badge once again as its market launch is less than three months away.

Set for its domestic unveil on January 26, 2026, the all-new Duster will herald its ambitious ‘International Game Plan 2027’ – a roadmap which will also see the arrival of a seven-seater SUV as well as an A-segment electric vehicle in the near future. When the first-generation Duster debuted back in 2012, it reshaped the midsize SUV space in India.

The crowded segment is currently led by Hyundai Creta and is one of the fiercely contested due to the presence of several manufacturers including Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Toyota, Kia, Tata, MG, Honda, VW and Skoda. A few of them even have more than one SUV present in this segment due to its high volume nature as it contributes to nearly one-fourth of the country’s passenger vehicle sales.

Over time, the Duster nameplate garnered more than two lakh customers in India and nearly 1.8 million globally. Commenting on the occasion of the announcement, Stephane Deblaise, CEO Renault Group India said

“Renault Duster is more than just a name – it’s a true legend. A symbol of adventure, reliability and innovation, its comeback shows our commitment to the Indian market and our desire to offer vehicles that meet the needs of our customers. New Renault Duster will rely on its iconic heritage while adopting a modern design, advanced technology and enhanced performance.”

The new Renault Duster for India will be built on a highly localised version of the CMF-B modular platform, the same architecture that underpins several of Renault’s European models. Production will take place at the brand’s long-running Oragadam facility near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The SUV’s cabin will adopt a driver-centric layout featuring a high centre console with an e-shifter for the automatic variants, a 10.1-inch OpenR infotainment display with wireless smartphone connectivity and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

Distinctive Y-shaped patterns on the air vents and door panels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, Type-C ports and a 360-degree camera are other highlights. On the safety front, the new Duster is expected to pack six airbags, electronic stability control, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking.

While Renault hasn’t revealed the powertrain details yet, speculations point to a pair of turbocharged petrol engines with both manual and automatic transmission choices. A hybrid version is also reportedly under evaluation for future introduction.

New Gen Kia Seltos Caught Testing Again In India – All Known Details

GaadiWaadi -

New Gen Kia Seltos

New gen Kia Seltos is expected to go on sale next year in India with a myriad of revisions inside and out

The upcoming generation of the Kia Seltos is inching closer to production and new spy images reveal that the SUV is set for its biggest transformation yet. The prototypes give away a new visual identity with more intricate surfaces and a noticeably stronger stance. The overall shape still echoes the familiar Seltos silhouette but most of the exterior panels look freshly stamped.

Up front, a more upright fascia houses a completely redone grille finished in a mesh-like pattern flanked by vertically stacked LED headlights. The new LED Daytime Running Lights follow a C-shaped layout and merge into the bumper edges. The sculpted bonnet and chunkier bumper design further amplify its busier stance.

A new set of dual-tone Y-shaped alloy wheels and the triangular rear quarter glass can be seen from the sides. Around the back, the redesigned C-shaped LED tail lamps are connected by an LED light bar. Even the bumper detailing and boot gate lines appear sharper than before. The cabin is expected to adopt a completely new layout with a more horizontal dashboard design, premium soft-touch materials and updated surface textures.

A larger central touchscreen will take centre stage working alongside a new fully digital instrument display. Kia may also introduce new ambient lighting patterns and upgraded connectivity features. On the equipment front, the new Seltos is expected to carry forward its long list of features. Ventilated seats, a powered driver’s seat with memory, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, ambient lighting and six airbags will remain.

Safety could take a step up with the inclusion of more advanced driver assistance systems. Under the bonnet, the familiar set of powertrains are expected to continue – the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and the 1.5-litre turbo petrol. There are also whispers of a hybrid option joining the lineup later in its lifespan.
