Besides the XUV 3XO REVX A, Dolby Atmos will be available with three more variants of the SUV in the form of AX5L, AX7, and AX7L in India

Mahindra XUV 3XO REVX A has become the first SUV model in the world under Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom) to come with Dolby Atmos audio system. For the unversed, Dolby Atmos was originally developed for the cinema and it is way ahead of ordinary music systems. It was first introduced with the BE 6 and XEV 9e all-electric SUVs, and followed by the Thar ROXX.

The Mumbai-based automaker has stated that Dolby Atmos will soon be offered in AX5L, AX7, and AX7L variants of the XUV 3XO with a six-speaker layout. Dolby Atmos comes with high quality premium audio on the go. As for the Mahindra XUV 3XO, it has been specifically tuned to complement the unique cabin architecture and offer an immersive sound experience.

The range-topping AX7L variant also features an additional subwoofer apart from the six-speaker setup to deliver deeper bass. All four variants of the XUV 3XO namely REVX A, AX5L, AX7, and AX7L will be available with Dolby Atmos from mid-September 2025. The in-car touchscreen infotainment system has already been integrated with Gaana streaming and hence the occupants can access Dolby Atmos Music anytime in the cars. The XUV 3XO is the fourth Mahindra SUV to get the Dolby Atmos audio system.

New Gen Hyundai Venue Caught Testing Again, Launch Soon?

New Gen Hyundai Venue Caught Testing Again

New gen Hyundai Venue will get a number of changes design-wise and inside the cabin while the powertrain choices could be retained

Hyundai’s new compact SUV is steadily advancing towards launch with heavily camouflaged prototypes becoming a common sight both in India and abroad. Frequent road tests indicate that the development programme could be nearing its final phase as the latest images show wheel speed sensors which could be crucial for various system checks.

Industry chatter points to the next-gen Venue making its way into showrooms around the festive season. Hyundai has dropped the mesh-style grille – replacing it with horizontally layered rectangular bars stretched across the front. Although the Venue keeps its overall shape intact, the refreshed detailing conveys a more mature design direction. Complementing this, the new C-shaped DRLs sit alongside the main headlight units.

Codenamed QU2i, the third-gen Venue will stay the same in size compared to the current model but its design direction is taking a new turn. Inspiration from bigger models like the Creta and Alcazar is evident – especially up front where the styling has been reworked. The headlamp units are now stacked vertically lending the SUV a boxier stance.

Updates of the new generation Hyundai Venue extend beyond the fascia as Hyundai has reshaped the side body panels and added new 16-inch alloy wheels as well. At the rear, the bumper and tailgate have been redesigned – joined by a revised tail lamp cluster. Capping the changes is a reprofiled roof spoiler that completes the updated look.

Inside, Hyundai is said to be preparing big changes with highlights like a dual-pane sunroof, bigger touchscreen unit and Level 2 ADAS making their way in. The cabin itself won’t stay untouched either – gaining a new dashboard setup, updated centre console and new upholstery finishes amongst other enhancements.

Powertrain options for the new compact SUV are unlikely to change – carrying forward the 1.2L petrol, 1.5L diesel and 1.0L turbo petrol engines with same power and torque outputs. Transmission pairings should stay identical too with a six-speed manual, six-speed automatic and seven-speed dual-clutch auto expected to be on offer.

BIG Changes Coming To 3 Popular Mahindra SUVs – Details Inside

New Mahindra Bolero Rendering

Mahindra 3-door Thar, XUV 700 and Bolero will get big revisions within the next half a year and here we have explained about them

Mahindra seems to be gearing up for a product-heavy phase with multiple launches on the horizon. The lineup is set to feature both refreshed iterations of familiar models as well as new additions to the portfolio. Among the most likely updates, three big crowd favourites – the Bolero, Thar and XUV700 – are all slated to undergo major changes in the coming months:

1. 3-Door Mahindra Thar Facelift:

Mahindra continues to work on the three-door iteration of the Thar with test mules regularly spotted under camouflage. The upcoming model is expected to receive updates inspired by the Thar Roxx with new grille, redesigned alloy wheels and bumper treatment. Subtle revisions to the headlamps and tail lamps are also on the cards. On the inside, changes will be more in line with the five-door Roxx as well. It could be the first one amongst the list to arrive soon.

2. Mahindra XUV 700 Facelift:

Camouflaged test mules of the facelifted Mahindra XUV700 have been seen on the roads frequently. Its market launch is expected to be targeted for the first quarter of 2026. The update will likely bring in new set of alloy wheels along with tweaks to the bumpers and grille. Reworked headlamp and tail lamp elements are also likely as part of the cosmetic changes.

Being only a mid-cycle facelift, the proportions of the Mahindra XUV700 will largely stay intact with the flush-style door handles also staying put. The more dramatic changes are likely to unfold inside the cabin where Mahindra could debut an all-new dashboard design. A triple-display setup is said to be in the works complemented by richer trim choices and improved upholstery.

3. New Mahindra Bolero:

Mahindra unveiled four concepts and a new platform dubbed NU_IQ at the Freedom NU event in Mumbai last week. It was also expected to host the debut of the new-gen Bolero, however, it did not turn out to be the case. Instead, we can expect the compact offering to arrive this festive season or in early 2026.

Honda Model Wise Sales Analysis July 2025 – Elevate, Amaze, City

GaadiWaadi -

Honda Cars Discount (1)

Honda posted total dispatches of 4,050 units in July 2025 as against 4,624 units with a YoY sales decline of 12 per cent in India

Honda Cars India reported a decline in overall sales in the month of July 2025 with total dispatches standing at 4,050 units. The total marked a year-on-year drop of 12 per cent compared to 4,624 units sold during the same period in 2024. On a month-on-month basis as well, the company witnessed a similar 12 per cent decline as volumes had touched 4,618 units in June 2025. The dip was primarily driven by weaker numbers from the City and Amaze sedans.

The Amaze, which has long been Honda’s volume driver in the Indian market, posted sales of 2,009 units in July 2025. The numbers were lower than the 2,327 units sold in the same month last year – recording a 14 per cent year-on-year decline. On a sequential basis, the sedan also contracted by 12 per cent compared to 2,274 units in June 2025.

With compact sedans continuing to face heat from rising SUV demand, the Amaze has struggled to maintain consistent momentum. The Honda City also remained under pressure. The midsize sedan recorded sales of just 646 units in July 2025 – representing a steep fall of 32 per cent against 957 units sold in July 2024.

Honda Model July 2025 Sales July 2024 Sales YoY Growth
Amaze 2,009 2,327 -14%
City 646 957 -32%
Elevate 1,395 1,340 4%
TOTAL 4,050 4,624 -12%

Month-on-month too, the City slipped 9 per cent as compared to 709 units dispatched in June 2025. Once the strongest pillar of Honda’s portfolio, the City has seen its appeal eroded by intense competition in the midsize SUV segment. The Elevate, however, managed to provide some relief.

It posted sales of 1,395 units in July 2025 which was 4 per cent higher than the 1,340 units recorded a year ago. Despite the positive year-on-year growth, the Elevate could not escape a sequential decline – falling 15 per cent when compared to June 2025 volumes of 1,635 units. Cumulatively, the numbers reiterate the challenges Honda Cars India faces in the domestic market.

While the Elevate has offered a minor incremental support, the decline in both the City and Amaze has offset the gains. With SUVs accounting for a growing share of overall sales across the industry, the dependence on sedans is increasingly weighing on Honda’s volumes.

The carmaker is expected to rely heavily on the Elevate’s performance in the coming months along with potential new SUV introductions in the future but nothing has been confirmed yet. As the domestic passenger vehicle market continues to expand on the back of SUV demand, Honda could offer good discount deals in the coming months too to capitalise on the high demand during this festive season.

Mahindra NU_IQ To Underpin New Compact & Midsize SUVs – AWD, EV, Hybrid

GaadiWaadi -

Mahindra-Vision-T-Vision-SXT.jpg

Mahindra NU_IQ platform will enter production from 2027 and it will give rise to a range of compact and midsize SUVs

At the annual showcase on August 15, Mahindra & Mahindra unveiled four new concepts and a new platform called NU_IQ. It is clear that the architecture will spawn multiple models in the future including the production versions of the concepts that were unveiled. While not all four may hit the ground running, the strategy that Mahindra foresees will strengthen its presence in the SUV segment.

The modular architecture is set to underpin Mahindra’s upcoming SUV lineup from 2027 onwards. It has been created to serve both domestic and global markets – offering the flexibility to suit different formats and body styles, and it will handle a wide spectrum of powertrains, ranging from conventional internal combustion units to hybrid systems and fully electric setups.

It also comes with the structural versatility to support front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive applications. Mahindra has further noted that the SUVs will stretch between 3.9 metres and 4.3 metres in length – thus the compact and midsize SUV segments are firmly targetted. The long wheelbase of 2.65 metres should ensure a practical and spacious cabin.

Mahindra NU_IQ Platform

A standout aspect of NU_IQ platform is its flat-form architecture. Mahindra says it makes possible the industry’s first flat-floor SUV with an internal combustion engine. Mahindra has also engineered the platform to incorporate lightweight construction methods which should help improve efficiency and overall dynamics amidst meeting top-tier safety standards.

The NU_IQ platform based SUVs will have ground clearance of up to 227 mm. It also integrates advanced digital and electronic systems dubbed the NU_UX. Mahindra showcased four concept SUVs that sit on the NU_IQ platform. The models have been named Vision.S, Vision.T, Vision.SXT and Vision.X.

Mahindra Vision S (2)

The development work was a collaborative effort between Mahindra India Design Studio (MIDS) in Mumbai and Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) located in Banbury. Engineering contributions were provided by Mahindra Research Valley in Tamil Nadu. The Vision.S concept has been positioned as a preview of the next generation Scorpio – providing early insight into the brand’s future approach for its popular SUV nameplate possibly in a smaller footprint.

The Vision.T concept could serve as the basis for a five-door electrified version of the Thar. The Vision.SXT is likely to remain a prototype. It represents a tougher, more utilitarian take on the Vision.T and incorporates a compact load area at the rear for added versatility.
The Vision.X concept is expected to evolve into a compact crossover as it could form the foundation for the next generation XUV 3XO.

Tata To Launch 2 New Cars This FY – Punch Facelift & New Sierra

GaadiWaadi -

tata Sierra

Tata Punch will soon get its first major mid-life facelift update, followed by the launch of the much-awaited Sierra SUV

Tata Motors recently launched the Harrier EV in the Indian market. The Indian carmaker is now ready to introduce two new models by the end of FY2026. With the declining market share due to a number of factors, these new launches will help the company to gain some momentum in the sales department, further aided by the festive season. Let’s look at the details of 2 new Tata cars launching this FY.

1. Tata Punch Facelift

The Punch is currently the best-selling Tata car in the Indian market. It also achieved the 6 lakh sales milestone in less than 4 years of its launch last month, i.e. July 2025. The micro SUV is now due for a proper mid-cycle facelift update, which is expected to launch in the coming months.

The test mule of the Punch facelift has already been spotted a few times in India. In terms of changes, a new exterior design shared with the Punch EV will be a part of the package. However, we expect it to have minor changes here and there, including a different design for alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the Punch facelift will feature a new steering wheel, tweaks to the dashboard layout, updated centre console, new upholstery, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. Mechanically, the Punch Facelift will remain the same with a familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine under the hood, along with the CNG fuel option.

2. Tata Sierra

The Tata Sierra was unveiled in its near-production guise at the 2025 Auto Expo in January. The iconic SUV nameplate will be offered in both ICE and EV versions. The Sierra EV is expected to arrive first, most probably in October 2025. On the other hand, the conventionally powered ICE Sierra is expected to go on sale in early 2026.

Talking about the powertrain, the Sierra EV could share the battery packs with the recently launched Harrier EV, comprising 65 kWh and 75 kWh units, with a claimed range of up to 627 kilometres. It will likely be offered in a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration as standard, and Tata Motors could offer all-wheel-drive (AWD) as well, however, nothing can be confirmed as of now.

Meanwhile, the ICE Sierra will be powered by a new 1.5-litre tGDi petrol engine, along with the familiar 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine.
