Aprilia SR-GP Replica 175 Launched In India At Rs. 1.22 Lakh

GaadiWaadi -

Aprilia-SR-GP-Replica.jpg

Aprilia SR-GP Replica 175 uses a 174.7 cc, single-cylinder engine kicking out 13.08 bhp and 14.14 Nm of peak torque, coupled with a CVT automatic

Aprilia has brought something rather special to its Indian scooter portfolio – the SR-GP Replica 175 hp-e. Priced at Rs. 1,22,521 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra, revised GST from 22 September 2025), this limited run model arrives dressed in racing colours that directly mirror the Aprilia RS-GP machines seen tearing up MotoGP circuits this season.

Bookings, test rides and deliveries have already begun across authorised dealerships. Unlike a mere sticker job, this edition borrows its visuals straight from Noale’s racing division. Matte black bodywork is contrasted by striking purple and red graphics – exactly like the RS-GP’s fairings. The trademark Aprilia script slices across the side and footboard while even the pillion grab handle is finished in black.

Blacked-out alloy wheels carry a red strip on the rim channels – adding to the motorsport flavour. To make the link to MotoGP riders more authentic, Aprilia has also added the race numbers of world champion Jorge Martin and teammate Marco Bezzecchi. Sponsor logos taken from the official RS-GP complete the look – leaving little doubt where the inspiration lies.

Aprilia-SR-GP-Replica-1.jpg

For Indian enthusiasts who follow the championship, this makes the SR-GP Replica a collectible in its own right. Under the skin, the scooter is powered by the new 175 hp-e motor which is capable of running on E20 fuel. The highlight is torque – 14.14 Nm produced at 6,000 rpm – the highest in the 175 cc class. That output translates to punchier low-end acceleration and throttle response.

The mechanicals are familiar to the SR 175 hp-e but are said to be tuned for both practicality and performance. A wide handlebar and an active riding stance help with better control while the 14-inch alloys are wrapped in sticky tyres that make light work of both smooth city asphalt and patchy stretches according to the brand.

The SR-GP Replica retains all the features of its standard sibling as riders get connectivity functions and a more modern 5.5-inch TFT instrument cluster. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is taken care of by a 220 mm front disc and a drum setup at the rear complemented by a single-channel ABS system.

New-Gen Renault Duster Arriving In Early 2026 – All Key Details

GaadiWaadi -

Dacia Duster

New Renault Duster will more likely hit the domestic market in early 2026 and it will be packed with features and technologies

The Duster nameplate is pumped up for a comeback in India and this time the timing feels more critical than ever. Having already been seen testing on local roads multiple times, the new-gen model is clearly in the advanced stages of validation before its market debut in the early parts of next year and its Nissan sibling is bound for mid-2026.

But unlike its first innings, the new Duster won’t have the playground to itself. The battlefield has grown brutal packed with heavy hitters like the Hyundai Creta and Mahindra Scorpio N. Add to that the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, recently launched Victoris and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder which have pushed hybrid technology into the mainstream.

It will also take on the MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and Honda Elevate. Renault’s upcoming Duster for India will be based on a highly localised version of the CMF-B modular platform which has powered several European models. It will be manufactured at the long serving facility in Oragadam near Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The upcoming Renault Duster features a high centre console oriented toward the driver and an e-shifter gear lever for its automatic transmission globally along with a 10.1-inch openR multimedia touchscreen that supports wireless smartphone mirroring, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, Y-shaped patterns on the door panels and air vents and more.

Other highlights are a dual-zone automatic climate control system, a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, six airbags, electronic stability control, Type-C charging ports and a 360-degree camera system. It also incorporates advanced driver aids like lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring and autonomous emergency braking.

Last year, Renault-Nissan released teaser shots of the India-focused Duster alongside its Nissan counterpart and both are currently on road tests. Engine options haven’t been officially confirmed yet but speculation suggests the SUV might get a pair of turbocharged petrol mills – paired with both manual and automatic gearboxes.

The all-new Duster may also be available with a hybrid powertrain as it is being evaluated for the future. The midsize five-seater will make way for a three-row sibling down the line similar to the Boreal found in the international markets.

Honda Amaze, City & Elevate New vs Old Prices – Up To Rs. 1.20 Lakh Drop

GaadiWaadi -

New-Honda-Amaze_-3.jpg

Honda has reduced prices of the Amaze, City and Elevate by up to Rs. 1.20 lakh courtesy of the GST 2.0 tax relaxation

Honda Cars India has announced new prices directly linked to the GST 2.0 overhaul. The changes kicked in on September 22, 2025 as the three models present in Honda’s current portfolio: the Amaze, Elevate and City have been impacted. The Honda Amaze compact sedan has now become even more attractive.

The previous generation S MT, once wearing a Rs. 7.62 lakh sticker, has been repositioned at Rs. 6.97 lakh – saving nearly Rs. 65,000. On the other end, the ZX CVT has seen a staggering correction of Rs. 1.20 lakh – pulling its new ex-showroom Delhi price down to Rs. 9.99 lakh. Such an aggressive shuffle puts the Amaze right back in the spotlight against Dzire.

The base Honda Elevate SV MT trim, which earlier cost Rs. 11.91 lakh, now lists at Rs. 10.99 lakh – a huge Rs. 91,100 drop. The higher ZX CVT Dual Tone Ivory, meanwhile, has seen a downward revision of Rs. 58,400 – making its new tag Rs. 16.34 lakh. Elsewhere, the price drops range between Rs. 42,800 and Rs. 57,700.

Even the hybrid e:HEV, often seen as a more premium offering, has had its pricing revised by Rs. 41,790 – putting it at Rs. 19.48 lakh.

Interestingly, the City Sports CVT has turned into a stronger proposition in this price reduction. Once at Rs. 14.88 lakh, it now reads Rs. 14.37 lakh – down by Rs. 51,400. The price cut may not look massive compared to the Amaze ZX CVT but it puts the sporty variant in striking distance of customers who want a more stylish offering.

What makes this GST revision fascinating is the uneven scale of reduction. Some trims have received eye-watering price drops of over Rs. 1 lakh while others hover around the Rs. 40,000–50,000 mark. Carmakers across the board have reduced prices as part of passing on the GST 2.0 benefits to consumers.

To lure in buyers, added benefits and festive season offers are put in place to capitalise on the positive buying sentiments that generally exist amongst Indian public.

KTM & Triumph 400cc Bikes Absorb GST Impact, Aprilia RS457 Gets Rs. 35K Benefits

GaadiWaadi -

2025-ktm-390-adventure-x.jpg

Aprilia RS457 is now priced at Rs. 4.35 lakh as buyers effectively save more than Rs. 35,000 through GST absorption and a complimentary quickshifter

The sudden revision of GST on motorcycles above 350 cc to 40 per cent had the potential to disrupt festive season buying but some of the biggest names in the two-wheeler industry have taken a very different route. Rather than transferring the added cost to the customer, KTM, Aprilia and Triumph have all chosen to absorb costs.

KTM was among the quickest to declare that its popular 390 range – the Duke, RC and Adventure – would stay at existing ex-showroom prices. By absorbing the GST hike internally, the Austrian brand has ensured that buyers continue to access its offerings without paying a rupee extra. For KTM models below the 350 cc threshold including the 160 Duke, 200 Duke and 250 Duke, the GST cut has been directly passed on.

The Aprilia Tuono 457 continues at Rs. 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra) with Piaggio India taking on the full burden of the higher GST. The RS 457, meanwhile, comes with an even stronger deal. Its revised sticker sits at Rs. 4.35 lakh but buyers effectively save more than Rs. 35,000 through a combination of GST absorption worth Rs. 15,000 and a complimentary quickshifter valued at Rs. 20,500.

Triumph Scrambler 400 XC (1)

Triumph, together with Bajaj Auto, has adopted a similar stance on its 400 cc family. The Speed 400, Scrambler 400X, the Speed T4 and the recently launched Thruxton 400 all retain their pre-GST prices. This decision is particularly critical in India’s middle weight market where Triumph has rapidly built presence since 2023.

Across the board, what could have been a dampener has been flipped into an opportunity. Another strong contender in the 450 cc space, Royal Enfield, has elected to up the prices. While the sub-350 cc lineup benefits from a price cut of up to Rs. 22,000, larger motorcycles in the 450 cc and 650 cc space now attract a GST-led increase – going up by as much as Rs. 29,486.

The Scram 440 witnesses a hike of up to Rs. 15,641, positioning it between Rs. 2.23 lakh and Rs. 2.31 lakh, ex-showroom. The Guerrilla 450 range follows suit with hikes of up to Rs. 18,479 – now priced from Rs. 2.56 lakh to Rs. 2.72 lakh. The Himalayan 450, meanwhile, takes the steepest jump, with a price rise of up to Rs. 21,682, placing its updated sticker tag from Rs. 3.05 lakh to Rs. 3.20 lakh, ex-showroom.

GaadiWaadi -

2025-TVS-Apache-RTR-310.jpg

TVS Apache range sees GST 2.0 benefits between Rs. 11,200 and just over Rs. 26,000 as the new prices comes into effect immediately

TVS Motor Company has announced that it will pass on the full GST 2.0 benefits of customers as the Apache series sees a massive price reduction. In the South region and Maharashtra, the Apache range now starts at Rs. 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom) with saving between Rs. 11,200 and Rs. 13,400 for the 160 cc, 180 cc and 200 cc offerings.

Meanwhile, the range-topping Apache RTR 310 and RR 310 get the maximum benefits due to the reduced tax slab. The RR 310 non-BTO variants start at Rs. 2.56 lakh for the Racing Red base version without quickshifter with savings up to Rs. 21,759 when compared to pre-revision prices.

Even with the quickshifter, the Racing Red remains aggressive at Rs. 2.71 lakh, while the Bomber Grey version with quickshifter nudges Rs. 2.76 lakh, showing how colour choices carry a small premium. Move into the RR 310 BTO space and the picture gets more interesting. The Dynamic Kit Racing Red is pegged at Rs. 2.88 lakh while the same kit in Bomber Grey costs Rs. 2.93 lakh.
