Prices of the new gen Kia Seltos will be announced on January 2, 2026 before the commencement of deliveries by mid-Jan
Kia has unveiled the all-new Seltos in a global premiere hosted in India – positioning it as a bigger and sharper midsize SUV with a more upscale nature. Bookings open nationwide from midnight for an initial amount of Rs. 25,000 ahead of the price announcement on January 2, 2026 while customer deliveries will commence by the middle of next month.
The five-seater gets with a much stronger road presence thanks to its stretched footprint, now measuring 4,460 mm in length and 1,830 mm in width – making it the longest model in its class. The wheelbase is a generous 2,690 mm and it must be noted that both width and height have been increased. The exterior design follows Kia’s Opposites United philosophy and introduces the Digital Tiger Face and a black glossy grille with dark accents.
Other highlights are new projection LED headlamps with a dynamic welcome feature, star-map LED DRLs, redesigned fog lamps and connected LED tail lamps. Features like automatic smart door handles, sporty crystal cut 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with neon-painted brake callipers, an integrated spoiler and skid plates are also available.

The new two-tone black-and-white interior theme is enhanced by leatherette seating and sets a premium tone. A large 30-inch panoramic display panel is at the centre of attraction, combining the instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen. It also comes with premium bits such as a 10-way power-operated seat with lumbar support, a relaxation mode, an integrated memory function synced with the ORVMs, and a welcome retract feature that automatically adjusts the seat for easier entry and exit.
Buyers also get ventilated front seats and a wireless smartphone charger while a Bose 8-speaker sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting and sunshade curtains along with split-recline seats, dual Type-C ports and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. Tech highlights are proximity-based smart key unlocking, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the updated Kia Connect 2.0 suite offering remote functions, live vehicle data and over-the-air software updates.

Even diagnostics and feature enhancements can be rolled out without visiting a dealership.
Safety gets a major upgrade through the India-first application of Kia’s global K3 platform. With a stronger structure and improved use of high-strength steel, the platform enhances crash energy management and improves NVH levels.
Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, ESC, ABS, hill-start assist, rollover sensor and rear occupant alert. The Level 2 ADAS suite brings 21 autonomous functions including forward collision warning and avoidance, lane keeping assist, smart cruise control with stop-and-go capability, blind view monitoring and a 360-degree camera system. Under the hood though, the new Seltos continues with its familiar trio of engines.

The powertrain range includes a 1.5L NA petrol (115 PS/144 Nm), a 1.5L T-GDI turbo petrol (160 PS/253 Nm) and the 1.5L CRDi VGT diesel (116 PS/250 Nm). Depending on the engine, customers can choose between a manual gearbox, intelligent manual transmission, continuously variable transmission, seven-speed dual-clutch or a six-speed torque converter automatic.
The Korean brand has presented a total of four trims – HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX – along with option packs that include Convenience, Premium, ADAS and the exclusive X-Line styling package. The GTX(A) and X Line(A) variants get advanced feature sets.
