MG Cyberster Irises Cyan

MG Cyberster all-electric convertible roadster uses a powerful dual e-motor drivetrain and a 77 kWh battery; does 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds

JSW MG Motor India, through its luxury retail arm MG Select, has introduced Irises Cyan, a new exterior colour for the Cyberster. The newly revealed shade combines a blue and green tone that embellishes its aerodynamic surfaces and overall design. The colour has been calibrated to interact with light and motion while upping its road presence according to the brand.

The Cyberster’s design philosophy draws heavily from MG’s storied past, particularly the MG B Roadster. Known for its design purity and motorsport roots, the classic MG B serves as a foundation for the Cyberster’s modern interpretation. In addition to Irises Cyan, the MG Cyberster is available in a curated range of dual-tone exterior colour options.

They are Nuclear Yellow and Flare Red coupled with a contrasting black roof. Meanwhile, more understated shades like Andes Grey and Modern Beige are matched with a red roof. With no mechanical changes, the all-electric convertible roadster uses a powerful dual e-motor drivetrain and a 77 kWh battery. It boasts unique scissor doors too.

The MG Cyberster features one motor mounted on each axle. The powertrain generates a maximum output of 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque. The setup enables the electric roadster to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 200 kmph. To enable sporty handling, the two-door model has a near 50:50 weight distribution and a double-wishbone front suspension system.

Equipped with an ultra-thin 77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Cyberster offers a claimed range of 580 km on a single charge. The electric sportscar supports both AC and DC fast charging as the DC fast charger (150 kW) can charge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 40 minutes. Dimensionally, it has an overall length of 4535 mm, a width of 1913 mm and a height of 1329 mm with a wheelbase of 2690 mm.

New Skoda Kylaq Classic+ Trim Is Packed With Features For Rs. 8.25 Lakh

GaadiWaadi -

2026-Skoda-Kylaq-Classic-Prestige-2.jpg

Skoda Kylaq Classic+ gets features including rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror

Skoda India has reworked the Kylaq compact SUV range by introducing two new trims – the Classic+ at the lower end and the Prestige+ as the new top-spec model. The update was announced during the showcase of the refreshed Kushaq where the company also confirmed that the Signature and Signature+ variants have gained additional equipment.

As a result, the Kylaq portfolio now comprises six variants instead of four with a Sportline version scheduled to join the range by festive season 2026. Positioned just above the entry-level Classic, the newly added Classic+ is priced at Rs. 8.25 lakh with a six-speed manual gearbox and Rs. 9.25 lakh with an automatic transmission (ex-showroom).

Unlike the base trim, the Classic+ can be paired with both gearboxes. It uses the same 1.0-litre three-pot turbocharged petrol engine developing a maximum power output of 115 PS and 178 Nm of peak torque. The introduction of this variant effectively lowers the starting price of the Kylaq automatic by Rs. 85,000 as well. What grabs the attention is the presence of a host of premium equipment.

2026-Skoda-Kylaq-Classic-Prestige.jpg

Over the standard Classic, it gains 16-inch alloy wheels, an electric sunroof, cruise control, steering-mounted controls, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror. These upgrades come at a premium of Rs. 66,000 over the Classic manual – positioning the Classic+ as a more value-for-money option for buyers probably costing around Rs. 12 lakh on-road.

The mid-spec Signature and Signature+ variants have also been enhanced. Both trims now receive features previously reserved for the top-end models such as a sunroof, rear wiper, automatic wipers and paddle shifters on automatic versions. Prices for the Signature variants have been revised to Rs. 9.43 lakh for the manual and Rs. 10.43 lakh for the automatic.

2026-Skoda-Kylaq-Classic-Prestige-1.jpg

The Signature+, on the other hand, is now priced at Rs. 10.77 lakh and Rs. 11.77 lakh respectively. At the top of the line-up, Skoda has introduced the Prestige+ as the most feature-loaded choice. Priced at Rs. 11.99 lakh for the manual and Rs. 12.99 lakh for the automatic, it now sits above the regular Prestige. To create a gap between the two, the standard Prestige has been made more affordable by removing features such as the six-way powered front seats – resulting in a price reduction of Rs. 24,000.

Looking ahead, Skoda has confirmed that a Kylaq Sportline variant will be launched later in the year. While mechanical specifications are expected to remain unchanged, the Sportline is likely to focus on sportier visual updates inside and outside. With the updated pricing now starting at Rs. 7.59 lakh and topping out at Rs. 12.99 lakh, the Kylaq makes for an attractive option to many buyers and is part of the brand concentrating on bringing in more value-added entry-spec trims.

Skoda Confirms Kodiaq RS Launch, Second Octavia RS batch

GaadiWaadi -

Skoda Kodiaq RS

Skoda to strengthen its brand image as a performance-focused brand with a first-ever two-model RS line-up in India

The Skoda Kodiaq RS has been formally confirmed to be launched in India for the first time. Meanwhile, the Skoda Octavia RS is getting another lease of life, with a second batch confirmed to be imported. Skoda held the India debut of the second-generation Kodiaq RS and announced plans to launch it between April and June this year. The company will import it as a CBU from Kvasiny, Czech Republic.

The Skoda Kodiaq RS sports the same fourth-generation EA888 petrol engine as the Skoda Octavia RS and VW Golf GTI, but in a different tuning. This 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged four-cylinder mill produces 195 kW (261 hp) at 5,000-6,500 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 1,650-4,350 rpm. The DQ 381 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system work together to send drive to the wheels.

Skoda offers the Kodiaq RS in five- and seven-seat versions, but we expect it to launch only the latter in India. The five-seat version hits 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, and the seven-seat version accomplishes the same in 6.4 seconds. Both have an electronically limited top speed of 231 km/h. Stopping power comes from 335×30 mm front disc brakes with double-piston callipers and 310×22 mm rear disc brakes with single-piston callipers.

Skoda Kodiaq RS (1)

The Kodiaq RS flaunts sharper bumpers, exclusive 20-inch Elias alloy wheels, a sports exhaust system with dual exposed tailpipes, and gloss black accents. It features DCC Plus adaptive suspension, but since Skoda does not offer the DCC adaptive suspension in the Octavia RS, it remains to be seen if it includes this feature in the Kodiaq RS it imports to India. Unlike the Octavia RS, the Kodiaq RS does not feature an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.

The Octavia RS gets the EA888 engine with the same outputs, but the peak power is delivered at 5,250-6,500 rpm and the peak torque at 1,600-4,500 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and achieves an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Skoda imported only 100 units of the Octavia RS in the first batch and may keep the quota limited to a similar figure in the second batch. The company may set the price around the same as before – 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Majestor India Launch Scheduled For February 12

2025 MG Majestor Front Left

Majestor to launch February 12 as MG’s premium full-size SUV option

JSW MG Motor India has confirmed that the Majestor SUV will be launched in India on February 12, 2026. The full-size SUV was showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo and is expected to be positioned above the Gloster in MG’s line-up, targeting models such as the Toyota Fortuner.

Exterior design and styling cues

The Majestor presents a traditional full-size SUV stance with a boxy profile and upright front end. The front fascia features a rectangular grille and split lighting arrangement, with LED daytime running lamps placed near the bonnet line and vertically stacked headlamps positioned lower on the bumper.

From the side, the silhouette is reminiscent of the Gloster, with a strong shoulder line and extensive cladding around the wheel arches and side sills. At the rear, the SUV features connected tail-lights. Broadly, the model maintains similarities with its international counterpart, the Maxus D90.

Interior expectations

MG has not officially showcased the Majestor’s cabin for India, but based on the global model, the interior is likely to feature a free-standing touchscreen above the air-con vents, soft-touch dashboard materials and a passenger-side grab handle. The SUV is also expected to offer a three-row seating layout similar to the Gloster.

Powertrain and drivetrain details

Powertrain details are yet to be officially disclosed, but the Majestor is expected to share components with the Gloster. This may include a 2.0-litre diesel engine available in single-turbo and twin-turbo configurations, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrain options are likely to be offered depending on variant.

Positioning in MG’s portfolio

The Gloster is expected to continue alongside the Majestor, giving MG two distinct offerings in the full-size SUV space – one positioned as a value-oriented alternative and the other aimed at a more premium segment. Detailed specifications and variant line-up are expected closer to launch.
