Mahindra Confirms BE 07 Based Electric SUV For 2027 Launch

Mahindra Inglo EV Platform BE 07

Mahindra’s BE.07-based electric SUV confirmed for 2027 launch

Mahindra has confirmed that its next born-electric SUV will arrive in 2027. The upcoming model will be the production version of the BE.07 concept, which was first showcased in August 2022. Internally codenamed B07, the SUV was earlier expected to launch in October 2026, indicating a slight delay in its rollout timeline.

The new model will sit above the BE 6 in Mahindra’s electric portfolio and expand the company’s growing BE range.

Positioning and rivals

The BE.07 will become the second model in the BE sub-brand and Mahindra’s fourth dedicated electric vehicle after the XEV 9e, BE 6 and XEV 9S. While the production version may carry a different name, the concept previewed a 4.6-metre-long, five-seat SUV with a more traditional body style compared to some of the brand’s recent radical EV designs.

Once launched, it is expected to compete with upcoming midsize electric SUVs such as the Tata Harrier EV and VinFast VF7.

Platform and expected specifications

The production-spec model is likely to be built on Mahindra’s INGLO skateboard platform, which also underpins its current born-electric offerings. Battery pack options are expected to range between 60 kWh and 80 kWh, similar to the brand’s existing EV lineup.

In terms of design, the SUV is anticipated to retain key styling elements seen on Mahindra’s recent electric models, including distinctive lighting signatures. However, the overall aesthetic may be relatively more restrained compared to the BE 6 and XEV 9e.

The cabin is expected to be technology-focused, potentially featuring a multi-screen layout similar to other models in the range. It remains to be seen whether Mahindra will incorporate more physical controls in response to user feedback on touch-heavy interiors.

Sales expectations and market context

Speaking during the earnings call, Mahindra’s management indicated that the upcoming B07 is expected to play a significant role in driving volumes. The company currently reports average monthly EV sales of around 4000 units and aims to increase this figure to between 6000 and 7000 units over the course of the year.

However, EV growth has moderated in recent months, and it remains uncertain whether demand will scale in line with these projections by the time the BE.07 reaches the market.

Mahindra’s 2026 roadmap

Following the launch of the XEV 9S in late 2025 and the XUV 3XO EV in January 2026, Mahindra does not have another electric vehicle scheduled for launch in 2026.

Instead, the company is expected to focus on updates to its internal combustion engine (ICE) lineup. A mid-cycle facelift for the Scorpio N is anticipated, and revisions to the Thar range are also likely, although official details are yet to be confirmed.

Yezdi Roadster Red Wolf gets deep crimson paint scheme contrasted by generous chrome treatment across key components

Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles is set to introduce the Roadster Red Wolf in India today – timing its arrival with the dramatic Red Moon night of March 3, 2026. The motorcycle combines throwback styling cues with familiar hardware. Unlike the standard version, it boasts a deep crimson paint scheme contrasted by generous chrome treatment across key components.

The exhaust pipes, engine casings and handlebar detailing receive a polished metallic finish – giving the motorcycle a more pronounced look. The colour theme is further complemented by a brown seat – bringing it an old-school character with a premium attire. Powering the Red Wolf is the 350 Alpha2 liquid-cooled engine which is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch as standard.

The twin-barrel exhaust setup is tuned to produce a throaty soundtrack as you might already know. Engineered with touring in mind, the motorcycle houses a 12.5-litre fuel tank capable of delivering a riding range of more than 350 kilometres under standard conditions. Its ergonomics feature centre-set forward footpegs that create a relaxed yet commanding posture for extended journeys.

Toyota Records 34,000+ Unit Sales In Feb 2026 With 20% Growth

GaadiWaadi -

toyota innova crysta (2)

Toyota posted 34,034 vehicles in February 2026 with a healthy rise of 20 per cent compared to the same month last year when volumes stood at 28,414 units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor recorded a combined dispatch figure of 34,034 vehicles in February 2026 with a healthy rise compared to the same month last year when volumes stood at 28,414 units. The surge in volume shows an overall annual growth rate of 20 per cent courtesy of gains in both local sales and shipments to foreign markets.

The Japanese auto major’s international business emerged as a significant growth contributor during the second month of the new calendar year. Shipments to overseas markets increased to 3,297 units – a substantial jump over the 2,000 units exported in during the corresponding month last year with a 65 per cent spike.

The domestic market also contributed positively. Sales within India climbed to 30,737 units in February 2026 when compared to 26,414 units during the same period last year. The numbers led to a 16 per cent increase enabling stable consumer demand and sustained sales figures across the company’s product portfolio – especially in the mass-market space.

Performance over the first two months of the calendar year further indicates an upward trend as well. Between January and February 2026, total volumes reached 67,914 units – exceeding the 57,785 units registered during the same stretch in 2025 with an 18 per cent year-on-year growth. In the domestic segment, cumulative volumes for January–February 2026 stood at 61,367 units – up from 52,592 units a year earlier with a 17 per cent gain.

Exports during this period rose to 6,547 units – compared to 5,193 units previously – with a 26 per cent increase. The monthly and year-to-date figures point the finger towards well-rounded growth pattern for Toyota with both Indian operations and export markets contributing consistently. The good reception for badge engineered models like the Glanza, derived from Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Rumion from Ertiga should not be understated.

2026 Renault Duster India Launch On March 17

2026 Renault Duster

New Renault Duster returns to India with turbo engines and hybrid

Renault is set to reintroduce the Duster in India with its third-generation model, scheduled for launch on March 17, 2026. The midsize SUV has already begun reaching dealerships nationwide for public display and test drives, while customer deliveries are expected to start in April. The new model marks the return of the Duster nameplate to the Indian market after it was phased out in 2022.

The comeback is strategically important for Renault as the company looks to strengthen its position in the highly competitive midsize SUV segment.

At launch, the new Duster will be offered with two turbo-petrol engines. The entry-level option is a 1.0-litre turbocharged unit producing 100 HP, shared with the Kiger. Buyers can also opt for a more powerful 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 163 HP, which Renault claims will be among the strongest in its class.

Both engines will come paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.3-litre motor will additionally get a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Renault also plans to introduce a strong-hybrid petrol version around the Diwali festive season in 2026. This setup combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and hybrid starter generator, drawing power from a 1.4 kWh battery pack. The total combined output is expected to be about 160 HP.

The equipment list includes a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control and powered ventilated front seats. A powered tailgate is also part of the package.

Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera system, parking sensors at both ends, tyre pressure monitoring, electronic parking brake, disc brakes on all wheels and Level 2 ADAS functionality.

The upcoming Renault Duster is likely to be priced between Rs. 10 lakhs and Rs. 20 lakhs (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete in the midsize SUV segment against models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq and the upcoming Tata Sierra.
