Royal Enfield Himalayan Mana Black Edition 2

Royal Enfield Himalayan Mana Black Edition pays tribute to Mana Pass, one of the world’s highest motorable roads

Royal Enfield unveiled the Himalayan Mana Black Edition at EICMA 2025 inspired by the mighty Mana Pass. Standing at 5,632 m, Mana Pass is one of the world’s highest motorable roads known for its brutal terrain and unpredictable weather. The new Himalayan Mana Black Edition pays tribute to that place with notable cosmetic updated.

Finished in a deep matte Mana Black livery, the motorcycle indicates the minimalist beauty and toughness of the Himalayas. Built on Royal Enfield’s Sherpa 450 platform, the Mana Black Edition is not merely a visually updated variant but it is a purpose-built and adventure-equipped rolling straight out of the factory with premium accessories.

It comes with Black Rally hand guards, a Black Rally dual seat for better grip and comfort, a Rally mudguard for improved off-road performance and wire-spoked tubeless wheels. At its heart lies a 451.65 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine producing 39.5 PS at 8,000 rpm and 40 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Mana Black Edition

The powertrain uses a 42 mm electronic fuel-injection system with ride-by-wire throttle control. With a compression ratio of 11.5:1, the engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. The steel twin-spar tubular frame supports 43 mm upside-down forks at the front with 200 mm of travel while the rear features a linkage-type monoshock – also offering similar travel.

With a wheelbase of 1510 mm, a ground clearance of 230 mm and a seat height of 860 mm, the overall dimensions measure 2285 mm in length, 900 mm in width and 1316 mm in height. The dry weight stands at 181 kg with a kerb weight of 195 kg and a payload capacity of 199 kg. Fuel tank capacity is 17 litres.

Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm ventilated disc with twin-piston caliper at the front and a 270 mm disc with single-piston calliper at the rear – assisted by dual-channel switchable ABS. Tyres include a 90/90-21 inch front and a 140/80 R17 rear. The equipment list comprises a four-inch round TFT display offering full Google Maps-powered navigation, ride modes, media controls and USB Type-C charging.

The lighting setup is entirely LED including headlamp, tail, and turn indicators and the fuel efficiency stands at 3.43 L/100 km and CO₂ emissions are rated at 82.82 g/km. Priced at €6,600 in Italy and £6,400 (Rs. 7.46 lakh) in the UK, the Royal Enfield Himalayan Mana Black Edition is expected to launch soon in India. Bookings are now open across Europe with deliveries set to begin in the coming weeks.

The two-wheeler market recorded a massive rebound in the month of October 2025 –  clocking total retail sales of 31.5 lakh units. The total resulted in a notable 51.76 per cent increase over the 20.75 lakh units retailed during the same month last year. The festive rush, improved rural liquidity and steady demand across cities fuelled this run.

Hero MotoCorp once again took the crown registering 9,94,787 unit sales last month – up by more than 72 per cent compared to October 2024. The brand’s success can be attributed to its widespread penetration, consistent demand for the Splendor and HF series, and a series of festive benefits across dealerships.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India followed in the second position with 8,21,976 units enduring a growth of 47.78 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The Activa range continued to be the main volume driver while its entry-level commuter offerings brought in additional numbers. India Bound Next Gen Toyota Hilux Teased, Debut Soon

GaadiWaadi -

Next Gen Toyota Hilux

Toyota’s to redesign its globally hot-selling mid-size pickup truck, which forms the base for the Fortuner, after ten years

Ten years after the launch of the eighth-generation model, the Toyota Hilux is set to move into its ninth generation. Toyota has confirmed it will unveil the next-gen Hilux in Thailand, home to the mid-size pickup truck’s largest production hub worldwide, on 10th November.

In Thailand, Toyota is calling the upcoming model ‘Hilux Travo,’ but in India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is likely to introduce it without the suffix, in the same way it avoids ‘Revo’ in the current model’s name. The Japanese automaker has released a video teasing details of the next-gen Hilux’s exterior.

The next-gen Toyota Hilux features a more upscale exterior, but its proportions are no different from the outgoing model. At the front, a noticeably new bonnet featuring prominent power bulges gives it a visibly more muscular look, complemented by a more angular bumper. On the other hand, sharper and sleeker headlamps and a block-lettered brand inscription convey more sophistication.

Next Gen Toyota Hilux (1)

On the sides, we can see a new sport bar and new off-road-style alloy wheels, both of which will be available on select higher trims, and we expect new surfacing and crease lines as well. Like the front, the rear will look less utilitarian, with a new tailgate featuring the model name and third brake light integrated into the grab handle, and new angular tail lamps with a C-shaped signature.

The next-gen Toyota Hilux will feature a more refined interior design, key to which will be a more angular dashboard. A 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster with customisable layouts, a larger, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a new centre console with improved storage space are among the key expected changes. Also new could be an electric power steering, paving the way for Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems.

Next Gen Toyota Hilux (2)

The next-gen Toyota Hilux will essentially be a heavily re-engineered version of the outgoing model. It will be based on the same ladder-frame chassis, but possibly with more rigidity. The engines and transmissions are also expected to be carried over. Unlike the outgoing model, the next-gen Hilux range will likely include a pure electric variant as well, expected to be launched in select markets by the end of 2026.

In India, TKM may launch the next-gen Toyota Hilux at the end of next year. The company will likely import its completely knocked-down kits and assemble them at its factory in Bidadi (Karnataka).

Toyota To Launch New SUVs And Pickup Models In The Coming Years

GaadiWaadi -

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ (5)

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) to rely much less on Maruti Suzuki-derived cars in the coming years, changing focus to more premium, authentic Toyota models

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is planning a new product offensive, having lined up 15 launches by the end of the decade. In the next two to three years alone, the company is expected to introduce no less than five SUVs and pickup models, all priced well above 10 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).

1. Toyota Land Cruiser FJ

Toyota Land cruiser FJ (6)

The Toyota Land Cruiser FJ is the Japanese automaker’s newest addition to its legendary series of purely off-road-focused SUVs. Measuring 4,575 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,960 mm in height, it’s a much more sensible model for Indian roads than the larger Land Cruiser Prado and Land Cruiser 300. It will likely be launched in petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid variants at around 30 lakh (ex-showroom) in 2028.

2. Toyota Urban Cruiser EV

Toyota-Urban_Cruiser EV

Arriving by mid-2026, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will be a mechanical cousin of the Maruti e-Vitara, competing with the Hyundai Creta Electric. Manufactured alongside its platform-mate in Gujarat, it should be offered with the 49 kWh LFP and 61 kWh LFP battery packs teamed with 142 hp and 172 hp motor options, respectively. The long-range variant should cover a distance of over 500 km on a full charge.

3. Next-gen Toyota Hilux

new-gen-toyota-hilux-speculative-rendering.jpg

The next-gen Toyota Hilux has been confirmed to be unveiled on the 10th of this month, and it could be launched in India towards the end of next year. The all-new model will have a sharper and more muscular exterior, and inside, a more refined dashboard, a digital instrument cluster with customisable layouts, and a more advanced infotainment system are expected.

4. Next-gen Toyota Fortuner

2026-Toyota-Fortuner-Rendered.jpg

Sometime in 2027, TKM will introduce the next-gen Fortuner, which, much like the next-gen Hilux, is expected to be a heavily re-engineered version of the current model. It would have a completely new design inside-out, but the basic proportions are expected to be similar. Unlike the current model, it won’t be available with a diesel engine, but a hybrid powertrain is likely to be offered as a replacement.

5. Compact pickup truck

Reports say TKM has a compact pickup truck similar to the Toyota Hilux Champ in the pipeline. That could be one of the reasons it continues pushing the Toyota Hilux in our market despite low volumes, possibly to build the brand until the smaller and locally manufactured model is ready for launch. The company could build this model alongside the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ at its upcoming plant in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, and launch it in 2028.

Mahindra Sold 30,000 Units Of XEV 9e And BE 6, New EV Launching This Month

GaadiWaadi -

Mahindra-BE6

Unlike the old XUV400, the new BE 6 and XEV 9e have become Mahindra’s top-selling EVs, thanks to their sleek design, impressive performance, and feature-rich interiors

Announcing its Q2 FY2026 earnings results on 4th November, Mahindra revealed that it has sold more than 30,000 units of the BE 6 and XEV 9e combined. Considering the steep pricing of these EVs, the combined cumulative sales figure is an impressive achievement.

Mahindra unveiled the BE 6 and XEV 9e in November last year, but commenced their sales in March. By the end of last month, in just eight months, the company managed to hand over 30,000 units of these models. The BE 6 and XEV 9e are the first models Mahindra designed and engineered from the ground up as EVs.

The Mahindra BE 6 was widely expected to sell in higher numbers than the Mahindra XEV 9e due to its significantly lower prices. However, preliminary sales data indicated the reality was the opposite, with the larger and pricier model taking the lead. It appears that the Mahindra BE 6’s apparent small dimensions and snug interior have worked against its favour. Additionally, the Mahindra XEV 9e’s proper SUV-coupe character and perceived better value due to greater space seem to have resonated better with customers.

Mahindra Electric SUVs

Mahindra offers the BE 6 in standard-range and long-range single-motor RWD variants with 59 kWh and 79 kWh LFP battery packs, respectively. The former’s rear motor produces 228 hp and 380 Nm of torque, while the latter’s rear motor develops 282 hp and 380 Nm of torque. The standard-range variant maxes out at 557 kilometres, while the long-range variant covers a distance of 683 kilometres. The latter hits 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds.

The XEV 9e line-up comprises the same two variants as the BE 6, with the same battery pack and motor combinations. The larger model delivers a range of 542 kilometres in the base variant and 656 kilometres in the top variant. The latter accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.

On 27th November, the very next day after the BE 6 and XEV 9e celebrate their first anniversary, Mahindra will expand its Born Electric range with the XEV 9S. The third model will be a seven-seat, conventionally designed alternative to the XEV 9e. From the company’s ICE portfolio, the XEV 9S will closely resemble the XUV 700.
