New Toyota Fortuner is expected to make its global premiere either towards the end of 2026 or sometime in early 2027

The next generation of the Toyota Fortuner is expected to make its global appearance either towards the end of 2026 or sometime in early 2027. Early development prototypes have already been seen testing overseas indicating that the well known full size SUV is preparing for a comprehensive update. It will likely bring substantial changes in styling, technology and overall mechanical bits compared to the current version.

One of the most important upgrades will likely be underneath the body. The new iteration is widely believed to use the TNGA F ladder frame architecture – a platform also used by the newest generation of the Toyota Hilux. It has been engineered to deliver improved structural strength along with enhanced ride quality and better off road capability while maintaining the durability the Fortuner nameplate is associated with.

Digital renderings based on recent spy photographs suggest the SUV could get a more aggressive appearance inspired by the latest Hilux. The front portion may feature a newly styled grille with chrome inserts and large Toyota branding positioned above it. Slim LED headlamps accompanied by sharp daytime running lights are expected to frame the grille while the bumper could incorporate a more prominent skid plate and circular fog lamps housed within triangular surrounds.

The tail lamps could be connected by a full width LED lighting element stretching across the tailgate. Prominent Fortuner lettering is also expected to sit across the centre of the rear panel. Additional details might include larger alloy wheels, thicker protective cladding, a sculpted rear bumper, a roof mounted spoiler and dual exhaust outlets.

Stepping inside, the dashboard could feature a pair of 12.3 inch digital displays, one dedicated to the infotainment system and the other functioning as a fully digital instrument cluster. Several advanced technologies are also expected to be introduced. Features such as Level 2 driver assistance systems, a 360 degree surround view camera, connected vehicle capabilities and over the air software updates could become part of the package.

A panoramic sunroof and automatic climate control are also likely to be offered too. The Fortuner has enjoyed a strong reputation since its global introduction during the mid 2000s and later arrival in the domestic scene in 2009. We can expect it to arrive in India soon after its world debut considering its popularity locally.

Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition Launched, Priced At Rs. 29.35 Lakhs

Mahindra XEV 9e Cineluxe Price

Mahindra introduces XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition with cosmetic updates

Mahindra has introduced the XEV 9e Cineluxe Edition with a price tag of Rs. 29.35 lakhs (ex-showroom). Bookings for the special edition open today (2nd March), with deliveries scheduled to begin from 10th March, 2026.

The Cineluxe Edition is derived from the Pack Three variant of the XEV 9e and is exclusively paired with the larger 79kWh battery pack. While the mechanical package remains unchanged, the edition brings subtle styling tweaks and a distinctive interior theme.

Exterior revisions are limited to cosmetic enhancements. The Cineluxe Edition introduces two new monotone paint finishes – Satin Black and Satin White. The latter features gloss-black cladding for contrast, while a ‘Cineluxe’ badge on the rear pillar distinguishes it from other trims.

Beyond these changes, the SUV retains the Pack Three’s visual elements, including 19-inch alloy wheels, full-LED lighting and a powered tailgate.

Inside, the Cineluxe Edition adopts a new Chestnut Brown and Nocturne Black dual-tone colour scheme. The contrast treatment extends across the dashboard, steering wheel, door trims and seats, with brown stitching on the predominantly black leatherette upholstery.

Feature content mirrors that of the standard Pack Three trim. The equipment list includes three high-definition digital displays, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, ambient lighting with multiple colour options, panoramic glass roof, wireless charging, surround-view cameras with surveillance mode and an augmented-reality head-up display. It also offers dedicated climate settings for pets and camping, along with selectable drive modes.

The Cineluxe Edition is offered solely with the 79kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The manufacturer claims a driving range of approximately 500 km on a full charge. Independent testing has indicated a real-world range closer to 456 km.

Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 286 HP and 380 Nm of torque. Performance figures remain unchanged, with a claimed 0-100 km/hr time of 7.45 seconds.

At Rs. 29.35 lakhs (ex-showroom), the Cineluxe Edition is positioned between the 59kWh Pack Three Select (Rs. 28.65 lakhs) and the 79kWh Pack Three (Rs. 31.25 lakhs).

Mahindra has not specified the charger bundled with this edition. In the standard range, buyers can opt for either a 7.2kW AC charger or an 11kW AC charger at additional cost.

TVS Overtakes Yamaha To Become 3rd Largest 2W Brand In The World

GaadiWaadi -

2025-TVS-Apache-RTR-310.jpg

TVS recorded total worldwide volumes of 5.46 million units with a 20.7 per cent increase over the 4.52 million units achieved in 2024

Electric mobility, premium motorcycles and overseas expansion are key to TVS Motor Company’s volume growth and the brand has understood it all too well. The manufacturer has built a strong position in India’s electric two wheeler segment with yearly output approaching five lakh units and is assessing additional production capacity to keep pace with rising demand.

At the same time, it is consolidating its presence across Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and parts of Europe to strengthen its global footprint. In 2025, TVS recorded total worldwide volumes of 5.46 million units with a 20.7 per cent increase over the 4.52 million units achieved in 2024.

It has enabled the Hosur-based company to move ahead of Yamaha Motor which reported around 5 million units for the year – up just 0.8 per cent from 4.96 million units previously. With this performance, TVS now occupies third place in global two wheeler sales. Honda Motor continues to lead the industry with 16.44 million units sold in 2025 with 6 per cent growth on a year on year basis.

new-tvs-jupiter-110-variant-features-price-1.jpgHero MotoCorp, meanwhile, remains second, posting 6.25 million units with a 5.2 per cent rise compared to 2024. TVS entry into the top three means two Indian manufacturers now feature among the world’s largest. A major contributor to TVS growth trajectory has been changing consumer preference toward higher capacity motorcycles. Demand in India has increasingly gravitated toward models above 150 cc and the company has expanded its offerings in this space to capture them.

Alongside premium offerings, it continues to generate consistent volumes from commuter motorcycles and mopeds. TVS currently ranks third in India by market share – contributing close to one fifth of industry sales. Yamaha’s path has unfolded differently as the Japanese brand has concentrated more on select segments and gradually stepped away from certain high volume categories over time.

In addition, a significant portion of its sales originates in developed markets where overall demand growth tends to be more moderate than in emerging economies. The brand is focussing on further stretching its legs into new territories courtesy of the high-end Norton brand.
