Here we have explained about the six upcoming MPVs that are expected to launch within the next two to three years in India

The compact, midsize and premium MPV segments are all pumped to witness plenty of new arrivals in the coming years. Automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan and Citroen are expected to bring in new three-row offerings and here we have listed the possible upcoming models.

1. Nissan Compact MPV:

Nissan-C-SUV-Compact-MPV-2.jpeg

The upcoming Nissan MPV, underpinned by the Renault Kiger’s CMF-A+ platform, is set to be positioned aggressively in terms of pricing thanks to its high degree of localisation. Scheduled to roll out from the facility in Tamil Nadu, the MPV will use the familiar 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines. It may also debut Nissan’s latest design language and is expected to arrive before Nissan’s new five-seater C-segment SUV.

2&3. Maruti Suzuki YMC & Toyota Derivative:

Maruti Suzuki is all prepared to introduce the e Vitara, its first all-electric EV, next month in India and in the future, it will give rise to a three-row sibling in the form of YMC. The midsize MPV will have similarities with the e Vitara including the batteries and electric motors and it will be exported from Gujarat factory to several international markets as well. It will give rise to a Toyota sibling – likely sharing a lot with the upcoming Urban Cruiser BEV.

4. Maruti Suzuki Compact MPV:

Maruti Suzuki is reportedly working on a sub-four-metre MPV which could sit below the Ertiga. Expected to arrive in 2027 or 2028, it will draw heavy influence from the Spacia sold in Japan and it could be powered by an in-house developed strong hybrid petrol engine enabling a fuel efficiency of over 30 kmpl. It will emphasise practicality and frugality.

5. Hyundai MPV:

During its recent investors day presentation, Hyundai revealed plans to introduce seven brand new nameplates as part of a product strategy to launch 26 models for the Indian market by 2030. Among the upcoming launches, the company drew special attention to two vehicles – a new MPV and an SUV engineered with off-road capability. The MPV is expected to be positioned as a premium people mover – likely inspired by the Hyundai Stargazer currently sold in Indonesia.

6. Citroen e Spacetourer:

Citroen-e-Spacetourer-1.jpg

To likely be positioned to rival the likes of the MG M9 and BYD eMax 7, Citroën’s e-Spacetourer is said to be evaluated for India. Globally, the model is sold in two trim levels and offers both standard and extended wheelbase configurations. Powering the e-Spacetourer is a 75 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed driving range of up to 348 km on a single charge.

Hyundai To Launch Many New SUVs In India – ICE, EVs & Hybrid

GaadiWaadi -

2024 Hyundai Bayon Facelift_-4

Hyundai has confirmed the launch of 8 new hybrid models in India by FY 2030, along with a new compact EV in 2027

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is preparing to expand its portfolio in the domestic market. The Korean carmaker recently launched the new Venue, which has been a major volume puller alongside the Creta. Earlier this year, in May, the company revealed its plans to launch 26 new models by 2030, including fresh products, mid-life facelifts and new generation models.

In a recent development, it has been revealed that eight new hybrid models are planned for the Indian market, with three to four of these expected to be SUVs. Similarly, a new compact electric SUV is also in the pipeline for the year 2027, as confirmed by the brand at its 2025 Investor Day.

To begin with, on the ICE front, the Exter is expected to receive a mid-life facelift update sometime next year, i.e. 2026. The next-gen Creta, codenamed SX3, is due for a launch in 2027, and it will likely continue with the familiar petrol and diesel engine options. Apart from this, the all-new Bayon will reportedly hit the Indian shores in 2026. The crossover SUV is expected to be powered by a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, which is currently under development.

New Hyundai EV

Talking about Hyundai’s upcoming electric line-up, a compact electric SUV has been confirmed to go on sale in 2027. As per the reports, it will be based on the Inster EV and specifically made for the Indian market. Based on the E-GMP (K) platform, the sub-4-meter EV SUV will go up against the likes of the Tata Punch EV. Furthermore, the HE1i (codename) will be offered in two battery pack options, featuring Level 2 ADAS and an infotainment system with OTA updates.

Hyundai will also be focusing on hybrid powertrains with its upcoming SUVs. The Bayon crossover SUV could be the brand’s first hybrid model in India. The aforementioned 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine will likely form the base for the hybrid tech, trickling down to other compact SUVs, like the Venue.

The next-gen Creta will also feature a strong hybrid powertrain, however, the exact details on the engine and electric motor are not available as of now. We expect it to come with a highly localised hybrid setup in order to keep the costs in check. Apart from this, a few reports also indicate that a new hybrid 7-seater SUV, which will be positioned below the Tucson, is under development. Internally codenamed Ni1i, the three-row SUV will be squarely aimed at the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari.

As per the reports, Hyundai will also launch the Palisade SUV in the domestic market, positioned as the brand’s flagship product. The hybrid SUV is expected to go on sale in 2027-2028, and it is expected to be priced around Rs. 40-50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Palisade will be powered by a 2.5-litre turbo-petrol hybrid engine setup, putting out 334 hp and 460 Nm of peak torque.

The company is working on multiple new models, including EVs, and some of these upcoming products have been showcased at the EICMA 2025. In this article, we will look at the new motorcycles which are expected to launch in India in 2026-2027.

2. Royal Enfield Continental GT 750

The Continental GT 750 has been showcased at the EICMA 2025 as a test prototype with the ‘testing in progress’ tag. Much like the Himalayan 750, the GT 750 will draw power from the 750cc motor, which is expected to push around 60 bhp of maximum power.

Royal Enfield Continental GT 750

On the design front, the motorcycle can be seen sporting retro-styled semi-fairing, paired with the familiar tank design. As per the reports, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 will likely go on sale in late 2026, and the final production-ready version could be showcased at the EICMA 2026.

3. Royal Enfield Bullet 650

The Bullet nameplate is all set to join the Royal Enfield’s 650 line-up. The company has revealed the Bullet 650 at the EICMA 2025. Expected to go on sale sometime next year, i.e. 2026, the motorcycle will be available in two colour options, Cannon Black and Battleship Blue.

Royal Enfield Bullet 650

The Bullet 650 will be powered by the familiar 648cc parallel-twin engine, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of design, the two-wheeler retains the old-school aesthetics with signature elements like the teardrop fuel tank, round LED headlamp paired with tiger-eye pilot lamps and winged badge.

4. Royal Enfield Flying Flea FF.S6

Royal Enfield has finally taken the wraps off the second model in the Flying Flea line-up at the EICMA 2025. Dubbed the Flying Flea FF.S6, the scrambler-styled electric motorcycle is scheduled for a market launch by the end of 2026. In terms of hardware, the FF.S6 features front USD forks, 19/18-inch F/R spoke-wheel setup, long travel suspension, block pattern tyres and more. While the powertrain details are under wraps, the electric motorcycle relies on a chain drive system, unlike the belt drive unit seen on the Flying Flea C6.

5. Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6

The Flying Flea C6 will be Royal Enfield’s first electric motorcycle, while the S6 will follow at a later date. An exact launch timeline is yet to be known, however, the C6 will likely go on sale in the first half of 2026.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea C68

The electric two-wheeler was officially revealed in India earlier this year, and it is expected to come with a claimed range of 100-150 kilometres, offering the performance equivalent to a 300cc ICE motorcycle. On the hardware front, the Flying Flea C6 comes with 19-inch alloy wheels at both ends along with disc brakes. The rear suspension is a mono-shock unit, and the electric bike uses a belt-drive system.

6. Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric

The all-electric version of the Himalayan ADV is under development, and its near-production prototype has already been spotted on multiple occasions. According to reports, the Himalayan Electric is expected to go on sale within the next 18 months. Some of the major highlights of Himalayan Electric include USD forks at the front, disc brakes on both ends, spoke wheels with off-road spec tyres and a new rectangular instrument cluster.

Two New Premium SUVs From Indian Brands To Be Launched This Month

GaadiWaadi -

tata Sierra

Two new premium SUVs are coming to Indian showrooms this month, one targeted at young drivers with a knack for adventures and one targeted at customers with big families

The virtually never-ending SUV onslaught from Indian automakers will see the arrival of two new premium models this month, one from Tata Motors and one from Mahindra. Both new premium SUVs will be positioned in different segments.

On the 25th of this month, Tata Motors will launch the all-new Sierra, marking the comeback of India’s first SUV. The modern-day Tata Sierra would have a completely new character that clearly conveys its SUV identity and helps it stand apart from all its rivals.

Featuring a more practical four-door layout and a classically powerful, upright stance, the all-new Sierra will be aimed at outdoorsy customers. Laid-back drivers looking for a comfy urban commuter will find it equally appealing, though, with its generous passenger space and a multitude of comfort and convenience features like front seat ventilation, power driver’s seat adjustment, a wireless smartphone charger, and more.

Tata Sierra (6)

Tata Motors has confirmed that it will offer the all-new Sierra with a segment-first triple-screen dashboard. This means the front passenger will have a dedicated touchscreen for functions like streaming videos, playing games, adjusting the climate control system, operating the navigation system, etc. There are rumours of a lounge version with a four-seat layout as well.

The all-new Sierra will likely be offered with 1.5-litre naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The turbocharged petrol engine will be making its brand-wide debut in this model, and previously, Tata Motors had stated it produces 168 hp and 280 Nm of torque. A first-ever Sierra.ev, a pure electric model derived from the all-new Sierra, should follow soon, and it will likely be available in a segment-first dual-motor AWD configuration as an option.

Mahindra XEV 9S Interior

Just two days after Tata Motors’ all-new Sierra, on 27th November, Mahindra will launch the XEV 9S electric SUV, previously rumoured to be called the XEV 7e. The XEV 9S will have a silhouette and size similar to the XUV700, but it will share its front design with the XEV 9e. Based on the same skateboard platform as the XEV 9e, the XEV 9S will feature seven seats, targeting family customers.

The XEV 9S is expected to be offered in the same standard-range RWD and long-range RWD variants as the XEV 9e, but its boxier shape and higher weight would lead to lower range figures. The first locally manufactured seven-seat electric SUV in our market may cover a distance of close to 500 km in the base variant and nearly 600 km in the top variant.

TVS eFX Three 0 To Likely Spawn The Brand’s 1st Electric Bike

GaadiWaadi -

tvs efx three 0 concept

TVS eFX Three 0 concept is expected to give rise to an all-new naked electric motorcycle in the near future

Among the half-dozen models it revealed under the spotlight in Mila, one machine certainly stole the room, at least for me is the eFX Three 0 – a pure electric concept that hints at the brand’s first performance electric motorcycle. And unlike many prototypes that will remain a design study, this one feels like a statement of intent that could enter production.

At first glance, the eFX Three 0 looks born from the track rather than a drawing board. The proportions are tight and the stance, as you might expect, is low and ready. There is aggression in its lines – a sleek headlamp cluster with C-shaped lighting elements flanked by sculpted fairing panels, multiple fin-like elements and a compact tail section with C-shaped taillamp signatures.

The golden upside down forks up front add contrast while the belt-drive setup at the rear gives it a mechanical look. Even the large alloy wheels, likely lifted from TVS’ Apache range, look close-to-production in the streetfighter. TVS hasn’t shared any specifications of the eFX Three 0 but it is said to be underpinned by a “torque-rich electric platform.”

tvs-efx-three-0-concept-1.jpg

The all-new architecture could be modular in nature to spawn a range of zero-emission vehicles in the future. The setup will more likely build on the iQube’s core electric system but with significantly more output and faster response. Judging by the way the bike’s been presented, it could sit at the middle of the portfolio in a toned down manner compared to the concept.

Look closer and you’ll find a few curious details. The front housing seems to pack a small camera, sparking speculation about onboard rider-assist features or even an integrated dashcam system – something the future electric two-wheelers in India will largely boast about. Sharing floor space with it was another concept, the RTR HyprStunt.

tvs rtr hyprstunt concept

The prototype is a lightweight street machine purpose-built for short bursts of excitement. It is no secret that the competition is heating up fast in the e-motorcycle space. Hero MotoCorp is working on its first zero-emission motorcycle as well under the Vida banner and it showcased the Ubex and Project VXZ at the same event in Italy.

Finished in a deep matte Mana Black livery, the motorcycle indicates the minimalist beauty and toughness of the Himalayas. Built on Royal Enfield’s Sherpa 450 platform, the Mana Black Edition is not merely a visually updated variant but it is a purpose-built and adventure-equipped rolling straight out of the factory with premium accessories.

It comes with Black Rally hand guards, a Black Rally dual seat for better grip and comfort, a Rally mudguard for improved off-road performance and wire-spoked tubeless wheels.
