Tata-Sierra-Electric-EV-Teased.jpg

Tata Sierra EV will slot above the Curvv EV and it will likely be available with both single- and dual-motor configurations

Three screens on the dashboard, bidirectional charging, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive option and a starting price of around Rs 18.5 lakh, the Tata Sierra EV is preparing to be one of the comprehensively specced midsize electric SUVs in its price bracket when it arrives in showrooms before the end of June 2026.

A while ago, Tata Motors confirmed a Q1 FY27 launch timeline and the frequency of test mule sightings across the country suggests production preparation is well underway. The Sierra EV sits on Tata’s Acti.ev+ skateboard platform – a modular architecture found in the IC-engined Sierra too while also being capable of spawning new body types.

It shares several components with the Harrier EV giving it a strong technological foundation within Tata’s growing electric portfolio while the design and interior bits will be akin to its ICE sibling. In the product lineup, it will slot above the Curvv EV targeting consumers who want a more premium midsize electric SUV with greater capability.

Two battery options are expected – a 55 kWh pack similar to the one in the Curvv EV and a larger 65 kWh unit carried over from the Harrier EV. The bigger battery is speculated to deliver a range of over 500 km with fast charging support likely included across variants. Drivetrain options are likely to span a single-motor rear-wheel drive setup and a dual-motor AWD configuration.

The design takes inspiration from the original Sierra nameplate while wrapping it in a modern EV package. A closed-off front grille, split headlamp arrangement, full-width LED DRL signature, flush door handles, muscular wheel arches and a connected LED light bar at the rear are among the expected styling elements.

A three-screen layout composing a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central infotainment display and a dedicated 12.3-inch passenger-side screen will be available. Higher variants will offer a suite of Level 2 ADAS system with multiple features, a 360-degree camera system, powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, powered tailgate, glass roof, ambient lighting and a full connected car suite.

We can expect thematic changes and slightly more premium surface trims and materials to differentiate itself from its regular sibling. Even the lower trims are expected to be reasonably well equipped given how competitive the midsize electric SUV space has become. With the Sierra EV, Tata is all set to add a lot of depth to a range that already includes the Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV and Harrier EV.

Royal Enfield Plans Multiple New Bike Launches – 350 cc To 750 cc, EVs & More

GaadiWaadi -

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex (7)

Royal Enfield is planning to bring in new 450 cc, 650 cc, 750 cc and electric offerings alongside more entry-level models in current FY

At the very top of the range, an all-new 750 cc platform is taking shape as the Himalayan 750 is set to be its first product. A larger Continental GT is also under development based on the same architecture with the existing Continental GT 650 continuing alongside it. The 750 cc platform will be part of Royal Enfield’s significant engineering investment in recent years and will form the backbone of its premium offering well into the next decade.

The Bullet 650 will be amongst the next set of new arrivals in the coming months on the twin-cylinder front – having already made its global debut at EICMA 2025. It wraps the proven 648 cc parallel-twin producing around 47 bhp and over 52 Nm in vintage Bullet styling backed by a six-speed gearbox with assist-and-slipper clutch. The existing 650 twins are also due for updates later this year with suspension revisions and possible dual front disc brakes in the works.

On the more accessible end, the Himalayan 440 is one of the more immediate launches expected. Built around the Scram 440 as its base, it is expected to be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh ex-showroom – positioning it as a more attainable stepping stone into adventure motorcycling than the considerably pricier Himalayan 450.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 EV

The 450 cc Sherpa platform, meanwhile, has further room to grow. A scrambler derivative of the Guerrilla 450 is in development for a 2027 arrival – expected to feature a flatter seat, raised ride height, long-travel suspension, knobbly tyres and a distinctive front beak. It would give Royal Enfield a properly styled scrambler at a price point that currently has very few rivals.

On the electric side, the Flying Flea C6 has already broken ground as Royal Enfield’s first zero-emission motorcycle. The S6 scrambler will follow – expected later this year or in early 2027 – sharing the C6’s EV platform but taking a different design direction with scrambler-inspired styling, longer suspension travel and dual-purpose wheels. Claimed range is expected to be similar to the C6.

An electric Himalayan is also in development for both domestic and international markets. Limited-run special editions will complement the mainstream launches throughout this period – a segment Royal Enfield has become increasingly adept at executing as demonstrated in recent times. The FY2026-27 new product cycle is determined to cover every price point and riding style in Royal Enfield’s universe.

Maruti Suzuki FY2027 Launches: New Brezza, WagonR & 7-Seater SUV

Maruti Brezza Facelift Spotted

Maruti Suzuki India is preparing to expand its lineup in FY2027 with a series of new launches aimed at strengthening its position across multiple segments. The company is expected to introduce updated versions of two of its high-volume models along with an all-new three-row SUV.

Among the key updates will be refreshed versions of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the Maruti Suzuki WagonR. Both models have consistently ranked among the brand’s top sellers and play a crucial role in maintaining its strong domestic market share.

The Brezza, positioned in the competitive compact SUV space, is likely to receive notable design and feature upgrades. Expected changes include revised styling elements, updated lighting signatures and a refreshed interior layout with enhanced infotainment and instrumentation. Feature additions could help the model better compete with rivals that currently offer more equipment in the segment.

Mechanically, the Brezza is expected to continue with its existing 1.5-litre petrol engine options, including manual and automatic transmissions, along with a CNG variant. There is also speculation about the introduction of a turbocharged petrol engine to broaden its appeal.

The WagonR, which continues to perform steadily despite the growing popularity of SUVs, is also due for a comprehensive update. The hatchback is expected to retain its existing platform but receive styling revisions and feature enhancements.

Under the hood, the model currently offers 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines. The updated version could see revisions to the powertrain lineup, potentially aligning with newer-generation engines used in other Maruti Suzuki models.

In addition to updates for existing products, Maruti Suzuki is also working on a new seven-seater SUV that will sit at the top of its utility vehicle portfolio. This upcoming model is expected to share its underpinnings and powertrain options with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, allowing the company to leverage existing architecture while offering a more spacious alternative.

The three-row SUV is likely to target buyers looking for larger family-oriented vehicles and could compete with models such as the Hyundai Alcazar and the Mahindra Scorpio N. It is expected to be positioned as a feature-rich offering, helping the brand strengthen its presence in the premium SUV segment.

These upcoming launches come on the back of a strong performance for Maruti Suzuki in FY2026. By updating its existing bestsellers and introducing a new flagship SUV, the company appears to be focusing on both volume growth and segment expansion.

As competition intensifies across segments, particularly in SUVs, the success of these new and updated models will play a key role in shaping Maruti Suzuki’s growth trajectory in the coming years.

Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini Launched In India At Rs. 1 Crore

GaadiWaadi -

MY26_DUCATI_PANIGALE_V4_LAMBORGHINI_ON_LOCATION_1

First unit of the highly exclusive Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini has been delivered In Mumbai

Sold out worldwide before most people even had a chance to see one in person – that is the reality of the Ducati Panigale V4 Lamborghini which has now been officially launched in India at Rs. 1 crore (ex-showroom). The first unit has already been delivered in Mumbai with the remaining India-allocated units accounted for.

It is the third chapter in the ongoing collaboration between two of Emilia-Romagna’s most iconic exports following the Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini and the Diavel 1260 Lamborghini. The inspiration for this motorcycle is the Lamborghini Revuelto – the Sant’Agata brand’s first hybrid super sports car packing 1,015 hp from a V12 internal combustion engine combined with three electric motors and a dual-clutch transverse gearbox.

The Revuelto sprints to 100 kmph in 2.5 seconds and tops out at 350 kmph. It is an appropriately extreme muse for what is Ducati’s most powerful and lightest road-legal Panigale to date. At the heart of the Panigale V4 Lamborghini sits the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine which is good enough to generate 218.5 hp at 13,500 rpm and 122.1 Nm of torque at 11,250 rpm.

MY26_DUCATI_PANIGALE_V4_LAMBORGHINI_ON_LOCATION_1

These figures made possible by a dedicated engine calibration and an Akrapovič titanium silencer with carbon end caps. The extensive use of carbon fibre across the bodywork, mudguards, heat shield, heel guard and other components combined with the titanium exhaust brings the dry weight down to 185 kg – nearly 2 kg lighter than the standard Panigale V4 S. The power-to-weight ratio comes in at 1.18 hp per kg.

The overall design is built around the Lamborghini livery as visible carbon fibre texture as the base with Verde Scandal, Grigio Telesto and Grigio Acheso detailing can be seen. The forged aluminium wheels are unique to this motorcycle and mirror the design of the Revuelto’s rims and the enhancements continue elsewhere too.

The tail piece, wings and seat have all been reworked by Ducati’s Centro Stile in close collaboration with Lamborghini’s design team with the carbon fibre weave including the herringbone pattern at symmetry intersections matching what is used on Lamborghini’s road cars. The chassis is built around the Panigale V4 S platform.

It features Ducati’s electronic suspension 3.0 with Öhlins NPX-30 fork, Öhlins TTX 36 shock absorber and an Öhlins steering damper managed through the Smart EC 3.0 system. The triple clamp is machined from billet aluminium and carries the model name and individual example number which is also laser-etched onto the ignition key’s aluminium badge and displayed through a dedicated dashboard animation at start-up.

Each of the 630 numbered examples is delivered in a custom wooden crate with a dedicated rear stand, personalised component box and a certificate of authenticity finished in the motorcycle’s own livery. Track-focused customers also get a billet aluminium racing fuel cap, carbon fibre brake calliper conveyors, an open clutch cover and a licence plate holder removal kit included in the package.

Lexus TZ Electric SUV Revealed – 3-Row EV, 530 Km Range

Lexus TZ

Lexus has introduced the all-new TZ, marking its first entry into the three-row battery-electric SUV segment globally. Positioned above the RZ in the brand’s EV portfolio, the TZ is designed with a strong emphasis on passenger comfort, interior space and refinement, aligning with what the company describes as a “Driving Lounge” philosophy.

Built on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, the TZ will be offered with two battery pack options — 76.96kWh and 95.8kWh. The larger battery is claimed to deliver a WLTP-certified range of up to 530 km. A dual-motor all-wheel drive configuration will also be available, producing up to 408 HP, placing it competitively within the premium electric SUV space.

In terms of design, the TZ adopts a more upright and angular stance compared to the smaller RZ, while continuing Lexus’ spindle-inspired styling approach. The front end features a closed-off grille area with an illuminated logo, flanked by sharp C-shaped headlamps and distinctive L-shaped daytime running lights. Aerodynamic efficiency has been prioritised, with elements like flush door handles and smooth surfacing contributing to a claimed drag coefficient of 0.27.

From the side, the SUV rides on a 3050 mm wheelbase, allowing for improved cabin room across all three rows. The silhouette incorporates a gently sloping roofline without compromising the traditional SUV stance. At the rear, a full-width light bar with illuminated branding and pronounced haunches adds to its visual width. Wheel options range from 20-inch to 22-inch aero-focused designs depending on the variant.

Inside, the TZ is expected to prioritise comfort and luxury, offering second-row captain seats and a premium 21-speaker sound system developed in collaboration with Mark Levinson. A panoramic sunroof further enhances the sense of space within the cabin.

Practicality remains a key aspect, with boot capacity ranging from 290 litres with all seats in place to 2017 litres when the second and third rows are folded. Lexus will offer the TZ in 11 exterior colour options, including a new Sonic Tellus shade, along with optional dual-tone roof finishes.

The TZ is expected to serve as a luxury-oriented alternative to models like the electric Toyota Highlander in global markets, although specific launch timelines and regional availability are yet to be detailed.

Kia April 2026 Sales Analysis – Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Syros, Carnival

GaadiWaadi -

New Kia Seltos

Kia registered a domestic total of 27,286 units in April 2026 as against 23,623 units during the same period last year with a YoY growth of 16 per cent

Kia India posted 27,286 units in April 2026 with a 16 per cent year-on-year jump over 23,623 units during the same period last year – down 6 per cent sequentially from March 2026’s 29,112 units. The month-on-month dip is a familiar story across the industry with March typically elevated on end of financial year retail momentum.

The more substantial number is the year-on-year growth and at 16 per cent Kia is holding its ground well in an increasingly competitive market. The Seltos and Sonet together accounted for over 77 per cent of total April sales – a concentration that has been consistent for Kia over the past years and shows how deeply both models have embedded themselves in their respective segments.

The Seltos led with a domestic total of 10,566 units – a 72 per cent year-on-year jump from 6,135 units in April 2025 with the strongest growth rate in the lineup. Sequentially, it dipped 4 per cent over the previous month’s tally of 11,041 units. The Sonet finished behind in the second position with 10,537 units – growing 31 per cent year-on-year from 8,068 units.

2026 Kia Sonet
Model April 2026 Sales April 2025 Sales YoY
Seltos 10,566 6,135 +72%
Sonet 10,537 8,068 +31%
Carens 5,465 5,259 +4%
Syros 554 4,000 -86%
Carnival 164 161 +2%
EV6 0 0
EV9 0 0
Total 27,286 23,623 +16%

The sequential decline of 12 per cent from 12,012 units in March is more pronounced but again largely a reflection of the March rush. Both the Seltos and Sonet individually crossing the 10,000-unit mark in April is a notable achievement and one that very few models in their respective segments can claim.

The Carens held steady in third with 5,465 units – up 4 per cent year-on-year from 5,259 units – a modest but consistent contribution from the family mover. The Syros had a curious month – just 554 units against 4,000 units in April 2025 with a decline of 86 per cent year-on-year but the 839 per cent month-on-month jump from March’s 59 units shows the updated model has been decently received.

The flagship Carnival MPV added 164 units to the total – up 145 per cent sequentially from 67 units in March. The EV6 and EV9 recorded zero sales during the month with both models currently absent from active inventory in India.
