Tata Nexon (5)

In November 2025, Tata Nexon headed the SUV sales standings ahead of Punch, Creta, Scorpio and Fronx in India

With consumer demand transforming toward feature rich, city friendly, and highway capable SUVs, the segment has been the favourite for majority of buyers in India and the sales table bodes well to its wide acceptance. At the top of the list, the Tata Nexon maintained its lead with 22,434 units and endured an impressive 46 per cent year-on-year growth.

Consistent updates, strong brand loyalty, and wide powertrain choices helped the Nexon secure its position as the best-selling SUV once again. Close behind, its sibling – the Tata Punch – registered 18,753 units, a 21 per cent rise compared to last year. The Punch attracts buyers looking for a budget-friendly micro SUV with decent ground clearance.

The Hyundai Creta, one of the segment’s longest-standing favourites, secured the third spot by recording total dispatches of 17,344 units. While its growth remained moderate at 12 percent YoY, the Creta’s popularity remains rooted in its loaded feature list and broad engine lineup. Meanwhile, Mahindra’s Scorpio posted 15,616 units for November – translating to a healthy 23 percent jump from last year.

Kia’s Sonet garnered 12,051 units last month as against 9,255 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago and secured a notable 30 per cent rise over last year. New Tata Sierra 1.5L Turbo Petrol Engine Sets Fuel Economy Record

GaadiWaadi -

Tata-Sierra-Mileage-Record-Top-Speed-NATRAX-1.jpg

New Tata Sierra is powered by a 1.5L turbo petrol engine producing 160 PS maximum power and 255 Nm, paired with a six-speed AT

Tata Motors has announced that the all-new Sierra has now entered the India Book of Records for setting the highest fuel efficiency figure achieved over a 12-hour period. During a certified endurance run at the NATRAX proving ground in Indore, the Sierra clocked an impressive 29.9 kmpl – surpassing the previous national record and placing the SUV in a league of its own.

The continuous drive was carried out on November 30, 2025, by the Pixel Motion team, who kept the vehicle running from 7 AM to 7 PM with only short, scheduled stops for driver changes. Officials validated the record on the same day. The test vehicles used Tata’s new 1.5-litre Hyperion turbocharged petrol engine.

It has been said to be engineered around efficiency-first architecture without sacrificing smoothness, drivability or performance headroom. Its finely calibrated combustion process, wide and usable torque band and reduced internal friction allowed the Sierra to maintain consistent delivery throughout the lengthy half day cycle according to Tata.

To know how the new powertrain works in real-world conditions, our detailed drive review and 700 km mileage test is already up on our Youtube channel. The record-setting run wasn’t limited to efficiency alone. In a separate test at the same facility, the Sierra hit a top speed of 222 kmph under controlled conditions – further demonstrating the performance potential of the Hyperion engine.

However, Tata Motors clarified that customer vehicles will be electronically limited to 190 kmph in adherence to the company’s safety norms. Tata Motors has also issued an advisory stressing that the fuel efficiency and top speed tests were conducted by trained professionals under tightly regulated environments and it strongly discourages owners from attempting to replicate such speeds or driving styles.

The new Sierra scored five stars in Bharat NCAP crash tests and is underpinned by the modular ARGOS platform.

Huge Year-End Discounts On Renault Cars – Kwid, Triber & Kiger

GaadiWaadi -

2025 Renault Kiger facelift

The domestic portfolio of Renault comprising Kwid, Triber and Kiger are being offered with lucrative discounts in December 2025

Renault India has entered the final month of the year with an aggressive set of benefits across its entire portfolio as part of clearing out remaining stocks of both pre-facelift and updated models. The brand’s year-end strategy enables heavy cash discounts, exchange bonuses, loyalty rewards and the Relive scrappage programme – giving buyers a wide spread of savings depending on the model and variant.

Looking to pick the sales up following plenty of activity during the festive season, Renault is providing some of its biggest offers of 2025. The table of benefits makes it clear that the Kiger gets the highest overall push this month. The pre-facelift MY2025 Kiger commands the largest savings – touching up to Rs 1.05 lakh.

The benefits include direct cash components, exchange and scrappage linked bonuses. The facelifted Kiger is still listed with sizeable savings, though capped at Rs 85,000. Alongside the Kiger, the Renault Triber range also receives a heavy dose of year-end incentives. Some dealerships still hold stock of the pre-facelift MY2025 Triber which is why those units come with total benefits of up to Rs 95,000.

The updates Triber, meanwhile, carries a slightly trimmed structure of savings – reaching up to Rs 80,000 depending on the variant and city-level availability. Sitting below the Kiger and Triber, the Kwid continues to be Renault’s most affordable model. In December, potential buyers can avail of benefits up to Rs 70,000 which include a combination of cash discounts, exchange perks and additional scrappage-linked savings.

Older stocks naturally come with higher benefits while recently updated versions maintain moderate offers to preserve their positioning. Top 10 Cars Nov 2025 – Nexon, Dzire, Swift, Punch, Creta, Scorpio

GaadiWaadi -

Tata Nexon (1)

In the list of top 10 cars in November 2025, Tata Nexon led the way ahead of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Swift and Punch in India

The passenger vehicle sales charts once again highlight how customer preferences in India continue to lean toward SUVs while a few long standing hatchbacks and sedans still hold their ground. Topping the rankings is the Tata Nexon, which remained in the number one spot with 22,434 units. Its year-on-year jump of 46 per cent shows that the latest model continues to see higher demand.

Right behind it is the Maruti Suzuki Dzire which recorded one of the strongest surges of the month. With 21,082 units sold, the compact sedan posted an impressive 79 per cent growth over the same period last year. The new-gen Dzire, introduced a year ago with a brand new design and a more premium interior, has been well received by consumers.

In third place, the Maruti Suzuki Swift contributed 19,733 units with a 34 per cent increase year-on-year. The hatchback stays put as one of the most recognisable badges in the country and the latest generation has added renewed interest. Tata Motor’s Punch followed closely in fourth place with 18,753 units – showing a 21 per cent rise.

Even as the segment becomes more competitive, the Creta’s combination of features, powertrain variety and brand trust continues to pull in consistent monthly numbers.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga secured sixth spot with 16,197 units, up 7 per cent, proving once again that demand for practical multi-utility vehicles remains stable among families and fleet operators. The seventh, eighth and ninth positions saw the Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, respectively.

The Mahindra Scorpio’s 23 per cent rise indicates its immense popularity in both urban and rural belts. The Fronx, despite being relatively new model, maintained steady traction with a marginal 1 per cent gain. The Wagon R followed with a modest 5 per cent rise. Rounding off the top ten was the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza with 13,947 units.

It was the only model among the top performers to post a slight decline of 7 per cent compared to last year. Despite this dip, the Brezza is an important player in the compact SUV landscape. As a whole, the November rankings reiterates the persisting SUV dominance.

Hyundai’s Launch Plan Includes 26 New Cars With Hybrids Taking Spotlight

GaadiWaadi -

Hyundai Crater Concept 2

Hyundai is looking to leverage its upcoming hybrids and electric vehicles as they are expected to account for almost half of its Indian volume by 2030

Hyundai has begun mapping out what could become its most sweeping product shake up for India – stretching right through FY2030. Details from the brand’s recent Investor Day roadmap reveal a strategy that combines updated ICE models with an aggressive introduction of hybrids and EVs in the coming years across multiple categories.

For now, the company’s sales are still driven largely by the traditional fuels. Petrol and diesel combine to form nearly three-quarters of Hyundai’s overall numbers with CNG adding around 19 per cent more. Cleaner powertrains barely nudge past the 5 per cent mark today but that modest share is expected to grow dramatically as the decade concludes.

Hyundai says hybrids and electric vehicles together should account for almost half of its Indian volume by 2030. The backbone of this turnaround will be the brand’s hybrid push. Hyundai has confirmed that eight hybrid models are being prepared for India before FY2030. In particular, strong hybrid systems are expected to appear on mainstream SUVs such as the Venue and the Creta.

2025-Hyundai-Palisade.jpg

The familiar 1.5-litre MPI petrol engine could be paired with an electric motor and battery pack to create an efficient dual-power setup. Overall, Hyundai wants as many as 32 different models on sale in the country by the decade’s end. Out of these, the plan allocates 13 to internal-combustion engines, 8 to hybrids, 5 to battery-electric vehicles and the remaining 6 to CNG versions. To achieve this lineup, a total of 26 model launches have been scheduled across multiple financial years.

Only a handful of launches – four, to be precise – are locked in for FY2026. The real surge unfolds later when 14 models, either entirely new or thoroughly revised, are slated to hit showrooms during FY2029 and FY2030. Internally, Hyundai has broken this down into 7 brand new nameplates, six full model changes, another six derivatives and seven facelifts or major enhancements amongst others.

Hyundai-Ioniq-6-2025-1.jpg

In the middle of this timeline, FY2027 and FY2028 together will contribute eight additional launches. These include two completely new nameplates and three total generation upgrades. Expected highlights span a three-row hybrid SUV positioned below the now-retired Tucson, a locally produced compact EV, a Bayon-inspired small SUV and a hybrid version of the Palisade. The newest Ioniq models are also set to be part of this rollout.
