Maruti Suzuki exported 3.95 lakh vehicles globally leading to its highest-ever annual export performance in 2025 with a growth of over 21 per cent
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has closed calendar year 2025 on a historic high in exports as it fortified its status as the country’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth year in a row. The brand shipped 3.95 lakh vehicles globally leading to its highest-ever annual export performance and registering over 21 per cent growth compared to 2024.
The numbers show Maruti Suzuki’s pivotal role in India’s automotive export ecosystem and its alignment with the national “Make in India, Make for the World” initiative. Over the past five years, Maruti Suzuki’s export volumes have pointed towards a upward trajectory – rising from under one lakh units in 2020 to nearly four lakh units this past year.
The rapid scale up indicates the company’s expanding global footprint and increasing acceptance of locally manufactured vehicles across international markets. In CY 2025 alone, Maruti Suzuki exported 18 different models to more than 100 countries including regions such as Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, ASEAN markets and Europe.

A major highlight of the year was Maruti Suzuki’s re-entry into Europe marked by the commencement of exports of the brand’s first battery electric vehicle, the e Vitara, from August 2025. The exports were flagged off from the company’s Hansalpur manufacturing facility following an inauguration by the Prime Minister of India.
Since export operations began, over 13,000 units of the e Vitara have already been shipped to 29 countries with Europe emerging as the primary destination and the five-door Jimny has witnessed incredible numbers. The strong export momentum in 2025 was supported by improved manufacturing efficiencies, higher local content and consistent quality standards across Maruti Suzuki’s production facilities.
