The upcoming new products will help Hero MotoCorp to strengthen its presence in the domestic as well as international markets

Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, is ready for its next bout of product launches. The company is gearing up to introduce a slew of new models in the country, targeting different segments, including electric two-wheelers, internal combustion engine motorcycles and premium segment bikes in collaboration with Harley-Davidson.

With the new product launches, Hero is aiming to expand its footprint in the domestic and international markets. For reference, Hero recently pulled the plug on its flagship model in India, the Mavrick 440. Reports claim the upcoming models will be focused on strengthening the business in the global markets.

Hero MotoCorp’s dominance in the domestic two-wheeler market ended last month, i.e. July 2025, as it slipped to the second spot in the retail sales, losing to Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI). The new models will surely assist the company in countering the growing competition, along with focusing on new segments.

Talking about the upcoming models planned for Q2 FY 2026, the prime focus in the ICE category will be the highly competitive 125cc segment. Hero plans to launch multiple new motorcycles in the 125cc range this quarter, each focusing on a different set of customers.

On the other hand, the EV portfolio will see an expansion in the Vida range, aiming to cater for the evolving customer preference. This will most likely include new variants in the existing Vida line-up; however, nothing can be confirmed as of now.

The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer will also launch a new premium motorcycle developed in partnership with Harley-Davidson. It will be the second model based on the 440cc platform. The first model was the Mavrick 440, which is now discontinued. The top management also hinted at more new product launches on the same lines in the year 2026.

In addition to the domestic market, Hero MotoCorp is equally focused on expanding its portfolio in 10-12 international markets. The goal is to generate around 10% of its total revenue and volumes from global business, with tailor-made products for catering to different regional territories.

7 New Tata Nameplates Set To Arrive In India – Confirmed Details

GaadiWaadi -

Tata-Avinya-X.jpg

Tata has embarked on a new strategy to bring in as many as 23 new offerings by 2030 and here we focus on the upcoming brand new nameplates

Tata Motors is bracing for a major product blitz with a roadmap that runs all the way to 2030. As part of this aggressive roadmap, the company is preparing to launch over 15 models spanning both ICE and EV categories. While the lineup will include updates and facelifts, what catches attention is that seven of these will be all-new nameplates.

And it’s these new additions that will form the core of Tata’s future strategy and our focus here. Among the upcoming models from Tata are the production version of the Sierra and the final road-going form of the Avinya concept – both of which have been showcased in various stages already. These latter will serve as a flagship premium product representing the brand’s next generation electric vehicle strategy.

The homegrown brand is looking to bring back the iconic Sierra nameplate before the end of the ongoing financial year. The new-gen Sierra will be offered in both electric and petrol variants with the EV version set to hit the market first. The internal combustion version is expected to feature the new 1.5-litre TGDI four-cylinder petrol engine which generates approximately 168 PS and 280 Nm of torque.

The ICE Sierra will get both manual and automatic transmission choices. In addition to the confirmed models, several unannounced vehicles are also in the pipeline as indicated by details shared during a recent dealer meet.

These include two ICE-powered models currently codenamed ICE Product A and ICE Product B along with two EVs under development, internally referred to as EV Product X and EV Product Y. To support its expanding portfolio and product roadmap, the automaker has committed an investment of nearly Rs. 35,000 crore.

Top 10 SUVs July 2025 – Creta, Scorpio, Thar, Hyryder, Venue, Sonet

GaadiWaadi -

Hyundai Creta (1)

In July 2025, Hyundai Creta stood on top of the SUV sales standings ahead of Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra Scorpio and Maruti Suzuki Fronx

The SUV segment in India remains a hotbed of activity with July 2025 sales numbers revealing both surges and unexpected slowdowns. At the top of the pile is the Hyundai Creta, which, while still clinging to its lead, posted a marginal 3 per cent year-on-year dip as 16,898 units were recorded against 17,350 units in July 2024.

Despite the drop, the Creta’s numbers continue to dwarf most competitors – consistently drawing buyers looking for a feature-rich and versatile package in the midsize SUV category. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza also slid by 4 per cent compared to last year but remains firmly among the favourites as it finished second.

Mahindra struck gold with the Scorpio which saw a 12 per cent uptick in sales as 13,747 units were sold last month as against 12,237 units during the same period last year. The Fronx proved that there’s always room for a strong new contender from the largest carmaker in India. Surging ahead with an 18 per cent increase, the compact crossover recorded a domestic tally of 12,872 units.

MG Cyberster Vs BMW Z4: Sportscar Comparison

MG Cyberster

MG Cyberster Vs BMW Z4, Battle Of EV Vs ICE Sportscars

The MG Cyberster and BMW Z4 offer strikingly different powertrains, designs and driving experiences, targeting convertible enthusiasts. MG’s Cyberster is a bold, electric alternative, while BMW’s Z4 continues with the traditional petrol-powered roadster. Luxury buyers are appealed to by both but they offer unique performance packages.

Styling

Dramatic styling with scissor doors, sharp lines, and futuristic LED lighting is sported by the MG Cyberster. It exceeds the Z4’s dimensions, making it wider and longer for a more commanding presence.

In contrast, the BMW Z4 offers a more traditional roadster look with a long bonnet and smooth rear profile. It comes with a soft top that folds in 10 seconds for open-air driving. Inside, the Z4 features a driver-focused cockpit with plush materials and intuitive controls.

Performance Comparison

The two truly diverge in philosophy and numbers in performance. The MG Cyberster GT uses dual motors producing 503 HP and 725 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds with an estimated 580 km electric range.

A 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine powers the BMW Z4 M40i. It produces 335 HP and 500 NM of torque. It takes 4.5 seconds to sprint from 0-100 km/hr with a fuel economy of 12 km/l.

Notably, the BMW Z4 M40i is also available in a 6-speed manual transmission with the Pure Impulse Edition, which is not possible with the Cyberster.

Driving Experience

While the Cyberster focuses on cutting-edge EV tech, the Z4 provides a traditional and refined driving experience. The Z4’s petrol engine offers rich acoustics and engaging dynamics. The Cyberster prioritises instant torque and futuristic flair.

Features Comparison

The cabin features a digital-heavy layout with three screens and high-tech controls. The MG Cyberster comes equipped with an augmented reality heads-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. For safety, the Cyberster includes Level 2 ADAS, which encompasses adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and autonomous braking, among other features.

BMW has used a more traditional approach for the interior. The Z4 gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with iDrive 7.0 infotainment system and wireless phone connectivity. There is also a digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, heads-up display and electrically adjustable sports seats.

Pricing Comparison

The MG Cyberster undercuts the Z4 in price with a Rs. 75 lakhs (ex-showroom) versus BMW’s Rs. 92.9 lakhs sticker. Despite costing less, the Cyberster packs more power and tech features. BMW’s legacy and premium build quality justify the price of the Z4.

Verdict

Tech-forward buyers seeking fast, clean and flashy driving find the MG Cyberster ideal. Purists who crave classic performance and petrol drama are suited to the BMW Z4. Their purpose makes both cars distinct yet equally compelling.
