Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will sit above the Himalayan 450 with a new twin-cylinder engine, a more touring-based hardware and chassis and modern equipment onboard
Royal Enfield is working on a larger Himalayan that will take the nameplate into a higher capacity adventure motorcycle category as a flagship. The Himalayan 750 has appeared in multiple test bike sightings with a substantial redesign around a new parallel-twin engine, larger bodywork and upgraded chassis. It will sit above the Himalayan 450 in the range while an EICMA 2026 reveal is expected before its India launch.
1. New 750cc Twin-Cylinder Engine:
The Himalayan 750 is expected to debut Royal Enfield’s new 750 cc parallel-twin powertrain with a substantial increase in displacement over the 452 cc single-cylinder unit in the Himalayan 450. Final output figures could put the power at around 55 to 60 bhp and peak torque at 60 to 65 Nm.
A six-speed gearbox will transmit the output with slipper/assist clutch as standard. The larger engine should give the Himalayan 750 a significant advantage on highways – particularly during highway cruising and overtaking. Its position in the range will be defined by its greater capability for long travel as well.

2. Upgraded Hardware:
Royal Enfield has developed a substantially different chassis for the 750 judging by the test motorcycles seen so far. The front end gets Showa upside-down forks while a monoshock handles the rear suspension. Twin front brake discs also feature on the test bikes and a remote preload adjuster has been spotted on the rear suspension while some prototypes have appeared on cast alloy wheels. Spoked wheels with tubeless tyres have also been seen on development motorcycles – leaving open the possibility of different wheel configurations when the production model arrives.
3. To Be Versatile:
Wheel sizes are another major distinction between the two Himalayan variants. The 750 has been spotted on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear combination that puts greater emphasis on tarmac riding while retaining the proportions expected from an adventure motorcycle while 21-inch front wire-spoked wheel could be ideal for off-road scenarios. The test bikes also feature a larger fuel tank, taller windscreen, wide seat, centre stand, luggage mounting points and a higher mounted exhaust.

4. More Electronic Equipment:
Royal Enfield is also developing a more modern electronics package for its flagship Himalayan. A circular TFT instrument console has appeared on test motorcycles while smartphone connectivity and navigation are expected to be part of the system. Cruise control has also been spotted on development bikes while the ride-by-wire throttle could support selectable riding modes. Electronic aids such as traction control and switchable rear ABS will also be available.
5. EICMA 2026 Debut:
The Himalayan 750 is expected to make its production debut at EICMA 2026 before reaching the domestic market. An estimated price range of Rs. 4 lakh to 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom) is likely as the larger Himalayan has local and global prominence in terms of sales numbers for the brand. It will take on Honda XL750 Transalp and Suzuki V-Strom 800DE amongst others.
