Top 10 Cars Nov 2025 – Nexon, Dzire, Swift, Punch, Creta, Scorpio

GaadiWaadi -

Tata Nexon (1)

In the list of top 10 cars in November 2025, Tata Nexon led the way ahead of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Swift and Punch in India

The passenger vehicle sales charts once again highlight how customer preferences in India continue to lean toward SUVs while a few long standing hatchbacks and sedans still hold their ground. Topping the rankings is the Tata Nexon, which remained in the number one spot with 22,434 units. Its year-on-year jump of 46 per cent shows that the latest model continues to see higher demand.

Right behind it is the Maruti Suzuki Dzire which recorded one of the strongest surges of the month. With 21,082 units sold, the compact sedan posted an impressive 79 per cent growth over the same period last year. The new-gen Dzire, introduced a year ago with a brand new design and a more premium interior, has been well received by consumers.

In third place, the Maruti Suzuki Swift contributed 19,733 units with a 34 per cent increase year-on-year. The hatchback stays put as one of the most recognisable badges in the country and the latest generation has added renewed interest. Tata Motor’s Punch followed closely in fourth place with 18,753 units – showing a 21 per cent rise.

The Hyundai Creta maintained its stronghold in the midsize SUV segment – finishing in fifth position with 17,344 units and notching 12 per cent growth. Even as the segment becomes more competitive, the Creta’s combination of features, powertrain variety and brand trust continues to pull in consistent monthly numbers.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga secured sixth spot with 16,197 units, up 7 per cent, proving once again that demand for practical multi-utility vehicles remains stable among families and fleet operators. The seventh, eighth and ninth positions saw the Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, respectively.

The Mahindra Scorpio’s 23 per cent rise indicates its immense popularity in both urban and rural belts. The Fronx, despite being relatively new model, maintained steady traction with a marginal 1 per cent gain. The Wagon R followed with a modest 5 per cent rise. Rounding off the top ten was the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza with 13,947 units.

It was the only model among the top performers to post a slight decline of 7 per cent compared to last year. Despite this dip, the Brezza is an important player in the compact SUV landscape. As a whole, the November rankings reiterates the persisting SUV dominance.

Hyundai’s Launch Plan Includes 26 New Cars With Hybrids Taking Spotlight

GaadiWaadi -

Hyundai Crater Concept 2

Hyundai is looking to leverage its upcoming hybrids and electric vehicles as they are expected to account for almost half of its Indian volume by 2030

Hyundai has begun mapping out what could become its most sweeping product shake up for India – stretching right through FY2030. Details from the brand’s recent Investor Day roadmap reveal a strategy that combines updated ICE models with an aggressive introduction of hybrids and EVs in the coming years across multiple categories.

For now, the company’s sales are still driven largely by the traditional fuels. Petrol and diesel combine to form nearly three-quarters of Hyundai’s overall numbers with CNG adding around 19 per cent more. Cleaner powertrains barely nudge past the 5 per cent mark today but that modest share is expected to grow dramatically as the decade concludes.

Hyundai says hybrids and electric vehicles together should account for almost half of its Indian volume by 2030. The backbone of this turnaround will be the brand’s hybrid push. Hyundai has confirmed that eight hybrid models are being prepared for India before FY2030. In particular, strong hybrid systems are expected to appear on mainstream SUVs such as the Venue and the Creta.

2025-Hyundai-Palisade.jpg

The familiar 1.5-litre MPI petrol engine could be paired with an electric motor and battery pack to create an efficient dual-power setup. Overall, Hyundai wants as many as 32 different models on sale in the country by the decade’s end. Out of these, the plan allocates 13 to internal-combustion engines, 8 to hybrids, 5 to battery-electric vehicles and the remaining 6 to CNG versions. To achieve this lineup, a total of 26 model launches have been scheduled across multiple financial years.

Only a handful of launches – four, to be precise – are locked in for FY2026. The real surge unfolds later when 14 models, either entirely new or thoroughly revised, are slated to hit showrooms during FY2029 and FY2030. Internally, Hyundai has broken this down into 7 brand new nameplates, six full model changes, another six derivatives and seven facelifts or major enhancements amongst others.

Hyundai-Ioniq-6-2025-1.jpg

In the middle of this timeline, FY2027 and FY2028 together will contribute eight additional launches. These include two completely new nameplates and three total generation upgrades. Expected highlights span a three-row hybrid SUV positioned below the now-retired Tucson, a locally produced compact EV, a Bayon-inspired small SUV and a hybrid version of the Palisade. The newest Ioniq models are also set to be part of this rollout.

2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift India Launch Confirmed In Jan 2026

GaadiWaadi -

Skoda Kushaq Facelift (2)

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will get striking new features while also receiving subtle cosmetic updates at the front and rear

Skoda India is expected to launch a new vehicle, likely the 2026 Kushaq facelift, in January 2026 in the country. The new version of the SUV has already been spotted multiple times during its test runs on the Indian roads. The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will come with visual updates, premium features and a new automatic transmission among others. Firstly introduced nearly three years back in 2021, it will directly rival Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, and Maruti Victoris in the domestic market.

The spy images have revealed that the new iteration of the SUV will have a revised front fascia with bigger fog lamps, sleeker vertical slats in front grille and redesigned headlamp units. The upper section of the moustache-esque front grille could flaunt a connected DRL (daytime running lamps) setup, akin to the bigger Skoda Kodiaq. In fact, the air dam below the grille could be offered in a squared-off pattern than the ongoing model.

The side profile largely remains the same, save for the 17-inch matte black finished alloy wheels. However, other elements such as body cladding near wheel arches and doors, roof rails, pull-type door handles, and shark fin-like antenna have been retained from the present model. Last but not the least, the rear end could boast of a slimmer LED tail-lamp cluster which could be connected with a LED bar instead of the SKODA lettering in the middle.

The cabin details have not emerged but the 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift is likely to get upmarket, premium and advanced features. It could be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, as suggested by the spy pics. The new SUV will also be packed with Level 2 ADAS as confirmed by Petr Janeba, former brand director, Skoda India. He had said, “Regarding ADAS 2.0, we will bring [this tech] step-by-step with the facelifts on the whole [MQB A0-IN] platform [which also underpins the Kushaq].”

The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will also house a 360-degree camera. Most of the rival SUVs such as Tata Sierra, Maruti Victoris, Honda Elevate, and MG Astor already come with the ADAS suite with a host of advanced safety features. It will also have 6 airbags as standard safety equipment across the entire variant line-up. The facelifted version has been awarded the highest 5-star safety rating by Global NCAP.

Mechanically, the 1.0L petrol engine will be at the helm of lower and mid variants with top power of 113 bhp and peak torque of 178 Nm. It will be available with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options. The top variants will draw power from the 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 148 bhp and 250 Nm. It is on offer only with a 7-speed DCT auto unit.

It has been learnt that Skoda is planning to phase out the 6-speed automatic gearbox by replacing it with an 8-speed (AQ300) unit. Though it won’t be immediate, by mid 2026, we could see it filling in the shoes of the 6-speed AT unit with the 1.0L petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce the e Vitara as its first midsize electric SUV for India and one of its biggest highlight is its safety kit. Long before hitting Nexa showrooms next month, the electric SUV proved its capability by scoring a clean 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP. Additional precautions such as Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, multi-collision braking, a 360-degree camera setup, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX mounts and a dedicated SOS function round out its protection suite. To prove the e Vitara’s long distance capability, four units were flagged off from Gurugram and dispatched to different corners of the country, demonstrating a real-world driving range of up to 543 km on one full charge.

Production for foreign markets has already begun at Maruti’s Gujarat facility with export batches shipped over the past few months. BYD YangWang U8 Tested By Dropping Massive Palm Tree, SUV Remains Drivable

BYD’s YangWang U8 withstands repeated palm-tree drops and remains operational

BYD has carried out an unusual durability demonstration involving its flagship YangWang U8, releasing a large palm tree onto the SUV’s roof multiple times to highlight the vehicle’s structural strength. The test, staged as part of a promotional campaign, has generated attention for the extreme nature of the impact.

During the demonstration, the tree was lifted vertically and allowed to fall on the long-wheelbase U8L three times from progressively greater heights. According to figures shared by YangWang, the most severe drop produced an impact energy of 50.4 kJ, a force well beyond levels typically used in regulated safety testing. Chinese media compared the force to that of a heavy appliance falling from a high-rise building.

Despite the intensity of the impacts, the U8L’s core structure remained intact. The upper section of the bodywork above the doors sustained visible dents, but the roof maintained its shape, all windows stayed intact and the driver’s door continued to operate normally. The vehicle also remained mechanically functional and was driven away after the final drop.

YangWang noted that the objective of the demonstration was to show that the cabin can remain accessible after a severe, unpredictable impact, allowing occupants to exit and enabling rescue teams to reach them if needed.

The palm-tree drop adds to a series of public tests highlighting the U8’s capabilities, which have previously included tank-turn manoeuvres, short-distance water flotation and multi-directional movement enabled by its quad-motor hybrid powertrain that delivers over 1180 HP.

BYD has not indicated what further tests it plans to conduct, but the brand continues to position the U8 as a high-end SUV with an emphasis on extreme durability and advanced mobility features.
