The MG Comet EV gets a price increment of up to Rs. 35,700; the flagship SUV Gloster also gets a significant price hike
JSW MG Motor India has increased the prices of select models in its line-up. The price revision in the month of May 2025 is applicable from immediate effect, and the brand’s most affordable offering, the Comet EV, gets an increment of up to Rs. 35,700. Similarly, the MG Gloster SUV gets a price hike of up to Rs. 1.51 lakh. In this article, we will look at the details of the MG Comet EV and Gloster price increase in May 2025.
After the price hike, the new range of MG Comet EV starts from Rs. 7.35 lakh, going all the way up to Rs. 9.84 lakh (ex-showroom). It continues to be the most affordable electric car in the Indian market. The entry-level Executive variant gets the highest increment of Rs. 35,700.
The Excite and Excite FC sees an increase of Rs. 16,000 and Rs. 4,000, respectively. The remaining variants, including Exclusive, Exclusive FC and Blackstorm FC, get a constant price hike of Rs. 5,300. The sticker cost of the MG Comet 100-Year Edition remains unchanged.

With the MY2025 update, the MG Comet EV got new features such as reverse parking camera, electrically foldable ORVMs, leatherette seats and four speakers. The electric car comes with a 17.3 kWh battery pack, and the claimed range stands at 230 kilometres on a single charge. The rear axle mounted electric motor produces 41 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque.
Talking about the MG Gloster, the entry-level Sharp 2.0 Turbo 2WD 7S variant gets the highest price increment of Rs. 1.51 lakh. The remaining variants in the SUV’s line-up have become dearer by Rs. 1.50 lakh. This brings the prices of the Gloster in the range of Rs. 41.07 lakh to Rs. 46.24 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG is ready to expand its three-row SUV line-up with the launch of the Majestor. The new SUV is the facelifted model of the Gloster, and it was officially unveiled at the 2025 Auto Expo in January this year. The MG Majestor will be positioned above the existing Gloster SUV in the brand’s portfolio.
