A market debut is happening early next month and the SUV will borrow its engine options from the Grand Vitara.
2. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara:
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to roll out its first fully electric vehicle – the e Vitara – early next year. It will be retailed through the Nexa chain and will come with two battery options to cater to different range and budget requirements. Built on the dedicated Heartect e platform, the SUV will boast a range of over 500 km on a single charge.
3. 7-Seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara:
Maruti Suzuki is believed to be exploring a stretched three-row iteration of the Grand Vitara aimed at addressing the rising appetite for larger midsize SUVs with more seats. To be positioned to take on competitors like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700, the new model, if arrives, will have a lot in common with the latest SUV offerings from the brand.
4. Maruti Suzuki Micro SUV:
Maruti is said to be planning a new entry into the micro SUV segment with a new model that could debut sometime between late 2026 and 2027. The upcoming SUV could be being positioned to rival offerings like the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter. Interestingly, there’s talk that a hybrid option might also be in the pipeline.
5. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid:
Recent sightings of a test mule hint at the possibility of a hybrid powertrain being added to the Fronx lineup. The setup is speculated to be along the lines of the Smart Hybrid system currently offered on export-spec versions of the Dzire. It will have to be waited and seen whether it will get features like ADAS as in the global variant.
