Kia Carens CNG carries a warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km – the same coverage offered on Kia’s regular models
Kia India has expanded its Carens lineup with the launch of a CNG variant – targeting buyers who prioritise running economy. Instead of rolling out a factory-installed CNG version, the company has opted for a dealer-level installation through a certified Lovato kit. The setup is approved by the government and will be fitted at authorised dealerships.
The Kia Carens CNG carries a warranty of three years or 1,00,000 km – the same coverage offered on Kia’s regular models. Priced at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Premium (O) petrol trim, the CNG configuration demands an additional Rs. 77,900 compared to the standard variant – making it a worthy consideration.
Despite being a dealer-installed system, the company ensures that warranty and reliability standards are maintained. Under the hood, the Kia Carens CNG continues with the familiar 1.5-litre Smartstream four-cylinder NA petrol motor producing a maximum power output of 113 hp and 144 Nm of peak torque. It is linked with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The Carens remains as one of India’s more sought after three-row offerings with a focus on practicality. It comes in a seven-seat configuration and rivals the top-spec trims of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. On the inside, Kia continues with two-tone black-and-beige interior theme – complemented by indigo accents across the dashboard and door pads along with the semi-leatherette upholstery.
The second row offers a 60:40 split function with slide, recline and tumble adjustments while the one-touch electric tumble makes accessing the third row easy. The last row itself features a 50:50 split and can be folded flat to increase luggage space. Additional features include rear door sunshades, AC vents for all three rows and five USB Type-C charging ports.

The MPV also packs an eight-inch infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There’s Bluetooth connectivity, voice command functionality and a 12.5-inch instrument panel featuring a 4.2-inch colour MID. It also gets steering-mounted controls, follow-me-home headlamps and a keyless entry system with a burglar alarm, TPMS, six airbags, ABS, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, vehicle stability management and downhill brake control.
