Tata Motors is expected to launch the petrol-powered version of the Harrier and Safari in the coming weeks
Tata Motors made a lot of headlines with the recent launch of the Sierra in the Indian market. Positioned in the mid-size SUV segment, the deliveries of the Sierra will commence next month. Meanwhile, the Indian carmaker is also preparing to launch multiple new SUVs in the coming months. In this article, we will look at 4 new Tata SUVs launching in the next 3 months.
1. Tata Harrier & Safari Petrol
The Harrier and Safari petrol have been long overdue and are expected to launch in the coming weeks. The brand’s flagship SUVs will get the new 1.5-litre Hyperion tGDi petrol motor, which debuted with the Sierra, producing 158 bhp and 255 Nm of peak torque.

The engine will be mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox option. Apart from the petrol engine, the Harrier and Safari will continue as it is with no changes to the package. We expect the new petrol engine to reduce the price of the Harrier and Safari by around Rs. 1-1.5 lakh, depending on the variant.

2. Tata Punch Facelift
The Punch is now due for a mid-life facelift update. Expected to launch early next year, the updated micro-SUV has already been spotted testing on multiple occasions, giving away a few important details. The highlight of the Punch facelift will be its new exterior design, which will be shared with the Punch EV, albeit with minor changes here and there.

Inside the cabin, it will likely feature a new steering wheel, tweaks to the dashboard layout, a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster and more. Mechanically, the Punch Facelift will remain the same with a familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine under the hood, along with the CNG fuel option.

3. Tata Sierra EV
Tata Motors has confirmed the launch of the Sierra EV in Q1 2026. Based on the ARGOS platform, the electric SUV will be available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. In terms of design, it will largely resemble the ICE Sierra, albeit with a differently styled front fascia, featuring a blanked-off grille.

The powertrain details of the Sierra EV are under wraps, however, several reports indicate that it could feature a 55 kWh battery pack from the Curvv EV and a 65 kWh unit from Harrier EV. We expect the electric SUV to come with a claimed driving range of up to 500 kilometres on a single charge. The Tata Sierra EV will likely be priced in the range of Rs. 16-25 lakh (ex-showroom).
