The 4 key Mahindra SUVs set to launch in India are the updated Thar, Vision S-based compact SUV and two new electric models
Mahindra has a packed SUV lineup set for India as it comprises updates to established nameplates and a wave of all-electric products. Some of these SUVs have already appeared in concept form while test vehicles have provided clues about others. The upcoming portfolio comes with a heavily revised three-door Thar, the production version of the Vision S, the BE 07 and a fourth electric SUV derived from the Vision T concept.
The first major update will come to the three-door Thar which is due for its first comprehensive revision in its current generation. Test vehicles have appeared on Indian roads with design changes inspired by the Thar Roxx. The front end should receive revised lighting and a redesigned bumper while the cabin could gain several features already seen in the five-door SUV. A larger touchscreen infotainment system and additional equipment are also expected.
The Vision S based SUV will take Mahindra into another competitive segment. Expected in early 2027, the production model will sit between the XUV 3XO and Scorpio N in the company’s range. The SUV will ride on the NU_IQ architecture and should retain the upright proportions previewed by the concept. Mahindra could offer turbo petrol and diesel engines already found in the XUV 3XO.

The BE 07 will take a different route as Mahindra expands its dedicated electric portfolio. Slotted above the BE 6, the SUV will ride on the INGLO skateboard architecture and is expected to feature a larger battery pack than its smaller sibling. Multiple motor configurations could be available while the cabin is expected to receive three 12.3-inch screens. Level 2 ADAS and bi-directional charging will also be present.
The larger electric SUV should reach the Indian market in 2027 enabling Mahindra another product at the premium end of its born electric range. Another electric SUV will follow drawing inspiration from the Vision T concept. The model is expected to gain a noticeably upright and boxy design as it will give a more prominent character in its off-road fleet.

Its design could carry several cues from the Thar Roxx while the mechanical bits will switch to a fully electric powertrain. The Vision T-inspired SUV is expected to arrive in 2028 following the Vision S-based model and BE 07 in Mahindra’s product schedule. The aforementioned models will appeal to different segments and consumers and considering its recent set of launches, we do expect them to worth the wait. In the meantime, the Scorpio Lifestyler and more compact offerings could be in the pipeline based on NU_IQ.
