Audi opens bookings for its redesigned Q3 ahead of the October India launch as the compact luxury SUV gets major exterior and cabin changes

Audi India has opened bookings for the new generation Q3 ahead of its launch in October 2026. Customers can reserve the compact luxury SUV for an initial amount of Rs. 1 lakh through the Audi India’s official website, the myAudi Connect application or authorised Audi dealerships. The new Q3 gets substantial changes to its exterior and cabin while the India-spec model retains the 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine.

The cabin receives one of the biggest revisions as Audi repositions the gear selector from the centre console to the steering column. The change frees additional storage space between the front seats while a separate stalk handles the lighting and wiper functions. The dashboard gains Audi’s latest design language and boasts a new digital interface while acoustic glass for the front windows should help reduce outside noise.

The second row also gains greater flexibility through sliding adjustment and variable backrest angles. Luggage capacity stands at 488 litres in the standard configuration and increases to 1,386 litres once the rear seats are folded. The sliding second row lets occupants prioritise passenger or luggage space according to requirements while adjustable backrests add further flexibility.

Based on the variant, the new Q3 can also tow up to 2,100 kg. The exterior design takes a significant step away from the outgoing Q3. A larger Singleframe grille sits between slimmer headlamps while more pronounced contours feature across the bonnet and shoulder sections. The rear gets a full-width lighting element while digital OLED tail lamps and illuminated Audi rings will be available on top-end versions.

The Matrix LED headlamps feature micro LED modules while each daytime running light incorporates 23 individual segments. The India-spec new-gen Audi Q3 stays put with the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which develops around 204 hp and 320 Nm. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive continue.

Audi has expanded the Q3 powertrain range internationally, however, where the new generation gets petrol and diesel engines alongside a plug-in hybrid for the first time. The company has revised the suspension range as well offering standard, sport or two-valve damper configurations based on the market and variant. Assistance technology also receives an upgrade on the new Q3.

An interior camera can monitor the driver for fatigue and distraction while adaptive cruise control and lane-assistance systems gain additional functions. The parking system can store complex parking manoeuvres and repeat them later. Commenting on the start of bookings, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Brand Director, Audi India, said,
