GaadiWaadi -

Yamaha XSR 155 (1)

Yamaha is set to debut a new two-wheeler in the Indian market on November 11, which could be the XSR 155 or the Nmax 155

Yamaha is preparing to launch a new two-wheeler in the Indian market. The company recently sent a ‘Block Your Date’ invite for a new product launch, which could either be the much-awaited XSR 155 or a new scooter. Some media reports also hint at the debut of both the models, however, nothing can be confirmed as of now.

The Yamaha XSR 155 was recently spotted testing in India in a fully camouflaged guise. On the other hand, the Nmax 155 was showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year. Considering that the maxi-scooter segment is gaining a lot of popularity in India with the launch of Hero Xoom 160 and TVS Ntorq 150, the introduction of the Nmax 155 from Yamaha in the 150-160cc segment seems like a viable option.

The XSR 155 is also one of the most anticipated models from Yamaha, as it a neo-retro roadster, a segment which is generation a lot of interest amongst young customers. It will take on the likes of Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and TVS Ronin in the Indian market.

Yamaha XSR 155

The XSR 155 will sport a round LED headlamp, front USD forks, tear-drop design fuel tank, LED indicators and a slim rear section with a flat bench-type single piece seat. In terms of hardware, 17-inch wheels, disc brakes at both ends and a rear mono-shock will be a part of the package.

Talking about the underpinnings, the XSR 155 shares the platform with the R15 V4. It will be powered by the familiar 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, putting out 18.1 bhp and 14 Nm of peak torque. The neo-retro roaster can be differentiates from its stable-mates with an upright riding posture, making it much easier to ride as compared to its sportsbike sibling.

Yamaha Nmax 155

If Yamaha debuts both the two-wheelers on November 11, it will be win-win for the brand, considering that both the models have managed to garner a lot of interest amongst customers. In addition to this, with the reduced GST rates, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer can price these products much more aggressively, enhancing their overall appeal.

Mahindra Vision S (Baby Scorpio) Caught Testing Again – Interior Sneak Peek

GaadiWaadi -

Mahindra Vision S

Mahindra Vision S based compact SUV is expected to go on sale in 2027, based on the new NU_IQ monocoque platform

During its Independence Day-themed Freedom NU event, Mahindra unveiled its Vision series of concept SUVs, providing a peek into the brand’s future lineup. The spotlight was on the Vision S, which shared the stage with the Vision X, Vision T and Vision SXT. These concepts hints at upcoming production models intended to occupy distinct segments across Mahindra’s SUV portfolio.

The Vision S concept is generating the most buzz from Mahindra’s range – built atop the new NU_IQ monocoque platform that will underpin multiple future SUVs. The “S” designation hints at a connection to the Scorpio lineage though it remains uncertain whether this signals a conventional petrol/diesel successor or a more compact version or even an electrified version under the familiar badge.

Regardless, the Vision S is being positioned as a link between concept and production within the Scorpio family. Mahindra could potentially bring in a slightly more compact version of the Scorpio N inspired by this concept as initial signs have been seen through spy images which was thought to be the next-gen Bolero before.

In the latest set of spy images, you could readily see that the prototype retains the signature short overhangs, complete with the spare tyre mounted on the rear door for a bit of an old school look. Inside, the cabin features grab handles for the second-row passengers, a semi-digital instrument cluster paired with a coloured MID and a panoramic sunroof.

The first NU_IQ based vehicle will arrive in 2027 and it could be the production version of the Vision S as the testing mule you are seeing here has been caught multiple times and is in its advanced development stages. The Vision S will be accompanied by the Vision X which could spawn crossover family and the Vision T which will give rise to the next iterations of the Thar including an electric version.

Tata Expects To Deliver Over 25,000 Vehicles This Dhanteras & Diwali

GaadiWaadi -

Tata Punch

The impressive delivery run comes on the back of the stellar sales performance in September as well as Q2 FY26 in India

Tata Motors has embarked on its biggest ever festive season with the company expected to deliver more than 25,000 vehicles during the Dhanteras and Diwali period. This year’s Dhanteras spans across two days and Tata anticipates a 30 per cent growth compared to last year’s festive sales – ensuring a new milestone for its passenger vehicle business.

Speaking on the occasion, Amit Kamat, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said, “This year, Dhanteras and Diwali deliveries are spread across two to three days, aligning with the auspicious mahurats. Overall demand has been very strong, and the recent GST 2.0 reform has added further positive momentum to the market. We are expecting to deliver over 25,000 vehicles during this festive period.”

The company’s confidence stems from its recent stellar sales performance in September 2025 when it recorded a domestic tally of 59,667 units with a 45.3 per cent jump from 41,065 units in the same month last year. The surge, fuelled by strong SUV demand and an expanding EV portfolio, pushed Tata’s market share to 15.8 per cent – up by 4.3 points year-on-year – the highest gain among all automakers.

Tata Harrier EV (5)

In contrast, Maruti Suzuki’s market share dipped from 40.4 per cent in September 2024 to 35.1 per cent this year with a decline of 5.3 per cent. Despite leading the overall market with 1,32,821 units sold, Maruti saw an 8.4 per cent drop in sales. Meanwhile, Mahindra held firm in third with 56,233 units, up 10.1 per cent, while Hyundai and Toyota followed in fourth and fifth, respectively.

Tata’s performance was underpinned by the Nexon and Punch, which continue to dominate the charts. The Nexon alone registered over 22,500 units in September – becoming the highest-selling passenger vehicle in India for the month. The EV range, led by the Punch EV, Nexon EV, and Tiago EV, also contributed significantly, registering a record 96 per cent year-on-year surge.

The combined effect of strong product demand, festive discounts and the positive impact of the GST 2.0 tax reform has given Tata a decisive advantage this season. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly sales in Q2 FY26 as well alongside narrowing the gap with market leader Maruti Suzuki.

With festive sentiment running high, Tata Motors appears set to continue this growth momentum well into the next quarter as new launches are indeed waiting in the pipeline with the most prominent one being the return of the Sierra nameplate.

New Gen Tata Sierra To Arrive In The Coming Months – All Vital Info

GaadiWaadi -

Upcoming-tata-Sierra.jpg

New Gen Tata Sierra will be sold in both electric and IC-engined guises upon launch in the coming months in India

Tata Motors’ upcoming Sierra has been caught testing extensively across diverse road and off-road conditions. Originally showcased as a concept and later as a near-production prototype, the Sierra has steadily evolved from a design study into a full-fledged product, ready to hit the market in the coming months.

Although Tata Motors has yet to confirm an official launch schedule, the Sierra is widely expected to hit showrooms within the next three to four months. The company could wrap up the year with another major introduction – likely the petrol-powered variants of the Harrier and Safari – before rolling out the new Sierra soon after.

Rather than differentiating them drastically, Tata is going for a unified visual identity with only minor cues setting the ICE and electric versions apart. The SUV will feature an assertive front end complemented by a closed-off grille section, a sculpted bonnet and slim LED headlamps connected by a full-width light bar. A beefy bumper and prominent surface lines will complete the look.

Tata-Sierra-3.jpg

Moving to the back, the new Tata Sierra will continue its squared-off theme. A thin LED light bar stretching across the tailgate, an integrated roof spoiler, a shark-fin antenna and a high-mounted stop lamp will accentuate the SUV’s upright proportions. The boxy tailgate design, reminiscent of the original Sierra’s silhouette, ties in well with the overall approach.

Powering the internal combustion variant will likely be Tata’s new 1.5-litre turbocharged four-pot petrol engine, expected to churn out around 168 PS and 280 Nm of torque. Tata will also retain its familiar 2.0-litre diesel engine, tuned to produce around 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Buyers can expect a choice between a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed torque converter automatic.

Tata-Sierra-2.jpg

As for the all-electric Sierra, it will share much of its elements with the Harrier EV including the possibility of dual battery pack options. Tata has yet to officially confirm whether the all-electric Sierra will feature an all-wheel-drive dual-motor configuration though it’s widely speculated that such a setup could be reserved for the top-end variants.

We can expect a range of more than 500 km per charge, backed by bi-directional charging capability for added practicality. Recent spy shots have also revealed a layered dashboard design with a triple-screen layout integrating the digital cluster, central infotainment system, and a passenger-side display.
