Maruti Suzuki has once again reinforced its dominance in the PV market by securing a massive presence in the list of top-selling cars for FY2025-26. Out of the top 10 best-selling models, the brand accounts for six entries – collectively contributing to 11,46,154 units as they reiterate its unmatched reach across multiple segments.

Heading the pack is the Maruti Suzuki Dzire which emerged as the highest-selling car in the country with an impressive 2,29,130 units by registering a massive 39 per cent year-on-year growth. The Maruti Suzuki Swift followed closely with 1,85,350 units by growing 3 per cent on a YoY basis as it proved that its popularity in the hatchback segment remains intact despite the emergence of SUVs.

Further strengthening Maruti Suzuki’s presence is the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R which recorded 1,80,134 units but saw a 9 per cent decline year-on-year. Despite the drop, it continues to be one of the preferred budget hatchbacks in the country due to its practicality and frugality. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza also made it to the top 10 with 1,80,104 units but it endured a 5 per cent dip compared to the previous year.

Rounding off the top 10 for Maruti Suzuki is the Baleno which secured the tenth position with 1,72,560 units and a 3 per cent growth. The Baleno continues to be a key contributor in the premium hatchback space due to its affordable pricing, a long list of features, sporty design as well as the reliable engine choice with manual and automatic transmissions.

Maruti Suzuki will launch new electric cars in India by 2031 confirmed a top company official while speaking to PTI.
