Maruti Suzuki is likely planning to introduce as many as five new cars within the next 9-12 months in India and here is all the dope

The country’s largest carmaker is preparing a diverse list of new launches ranging from alternative-fuel vehicles and refreshed bestsellers to a completely new electric family mover. Several of these projects have already been spotted on public roads as development work looks to be progressing ahead of their respective market debuts.

Among the most significant arrivals will be Maruti Suzuki’s second battery-electric vehicle for India. Internally known as YMC, the upcoming three-row MPV is expected to borrow heavily from the e Vitara underneath while targeting a completely different audience. Spy images have revealed a tall, upright silhouette and generous proportions.

Measuring around 4.5 metres in length, the electric MPV is expected to arrive with multiple battery choices and a claimed driving range of over 500 km per charge. The company is preparing to widen its flex-fuel portfolio and following the recent launch of the WagonR Bioflex, more models are expected to get the same powertrain – especially the entry-level offerings.

Some of the brand’s high volume products are preparing for comprehensive mid-life revisions as well. Despite remaining as one of India’s successful premium hatchbacks, the model is due for a refresh and recent prototypes suggest visual changes, updated cabin and feature enhancements. The Brezza is travelling down a similar path but appears to be receiving more substantial changes beneath the surface.

Test vehicles have been undergoing validation across multiple regions and apart from exterior revisions and interior changes, engineering updates are also expected. Reports suggest the CNG variant could benefit from a revised tank arrangement that improves luggage capacity while transmission changes may also be under consideration as a six-speed MT is likely.

The Fronx has quickly become a top-seller for the brand. Camouflaged prototypes indicate alterations to the exterior design while additional technologies could play an important role in the package. Advanced driver assistance systems and flex-fuel capability have both been linked to the facelifted version but no official confirmation has been made yet.

These upcoming launches arrive at a time when Maruti Suzuki is simultaneously expanding manufacturing capability and preparing for higher production volumes. Utility vehicles, electrification and alternative-fuel technologies are becoming increasingly important to the company’s plans for the mid and long term future and the next twelve months should offer a clearer indication of how the lineup will progress.

New Gen Bajaj Pulsar N125 Caught Testing With Big Updates

GaadiWaadi -

New-Gen-Bajaj-Pulsar-N125-Spied-1.jpg

New Gen Bajaj Pulsar N125 gets a host of revisions judging by the spy shots while mechanically it could remain unaltered

The existing Bajaj Pulsar N125 is rather unique for its styling and many consider it to be too sharp for an 125 cc motorcycle. Its design could change sooner rather than later as a brand new test mule of what appears to the new generation model has been spotted testing for the first time on public roads revealing plenty to ponder on.

Bajaj appears to be rethinking where the Pulsar N125 fits within its growing 125 cc portfolio. The latest prototype hints at a machine that could bridge the gap between the conventional Pulsar 125 range and the sportier NS 125. Compared to the outgoing model, the prototype looks less radical and more mature. The bodywork appears cleaner while several design elements have been toned down.

A full-length seat replaces the split arrangement used currently as it should improve overall comfort. Changes around the rear section also point towards improved usability as a redesigned grab handle has been added. Even the riding posture could become friendlier thanks to a revised handlebar arrangement visible.

The presence of a fully enclosed chain guard shows that Bajaj may be prioritising reduced maintenance and improved protection from dirt and road grime. The tank area appears more muscular than before while the front section seems visually slimmer due to the absence of the fork shrouds seen on the current model. The prototype uses a modern headlamp and evolved lighting setup coupled with possibly new turn indicators.

Beneath the updated bodywork, major mechanical changes are unlikely. The familiar 124.54 cc single-cylinder powerplant is expected to continue duty allowing Bajaj to retain a proven foundation. Output figures should stay in the vicinity of 12 PS and 11 Nm while a five-speed transmission is expected to remain part of the package.

Suspension duties appear to be handled by conventional front telescopic forks and a rear monoshock arrangement. The wheels and braking package could also see minor revisions as well. Connected features, smartphone pairing and a fully digital rider interface are expected as manufacturers continue to increase equipment levels in the 125 cc category.

The appearance of a near-production test mule indicates that development work may be entering the final stages. When it arrives towards the end of this year or in early 2027, the new generation Pulsar N125 is expected to firmly challenge products such as the TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R and Honda SP 125.

GaadiWaadi -

2026 Audi A6 ALLroad Quattro

New Audi A6 Allroad has gained a significantly wider stance and upgraded chassis technologies along with plug-in hybrid power for the first time

Audi has unveiled the fifth generation A6 Allroad with substantial changes to one of its recognisable estate-based adventure models. It has gained a significantly wider stance and upgraded chassis technologies along with plug-in hybrid power for the first time in the nameplate’s history as customers can now opt for a new PHEV variant pairing a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor.

Combined output stands at 367 PS and 500 Nm while a 25.9 kWh battery enables up to 95 km of electric-only driving under the WLTP cycle. Audi claims a full AC charge at up to 11 kW can be completed in roughly two and a half hours. The brand also gives the option to choose the 3.0-litre V6 TDI. Producing 299 PS and 580 Nm, the engine works alongside Audi’s latest MHEV Plus system comprising a belt starter generator, powertrain generator and electrically driven compressor.

Additional electric assistance of up to 24 PS helps sharpen responses. The diesel version accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.4 seconds while the plug-in hybrid requires 5.5 seconds. While the powertrains grab attention, the biggest visual change comes from the body itself. For the first time, the A6 Allroad gets a substantially revised design. Compared to the standard A6 Avant, overall width grows by more than 110 mm.

Hero Xpulse 421 Seen Testing Again; New Flagship Adv Gets Closer To Reality

GaadiWaadi -

hero xpulse 421 spied 1

Hero Xpulse 421 will be powered by a brand new 421 cc liquid-cooled engine which is expected to produce around 40 hp

After a bit of a hiatus, Hero MotoCorp has been caught testing the Xpulse 421 ahead of its expected market arrival in the near future. The spy images emerged from northern India indicate that development is progressing through demanding real-world conditions as the motorcycle is moving closer to its final production form.

Unlike the existing Xpulse range, which has traditionally concentrated on lightweight dual-purpose usability, the upcoming motorcycle will target riders seeking significantly higher touring ability, greater highway performance and off-road competence. The motorcycle is expected to become Hero’s most premium and technologically advanced offering once it enters showrooms.

The latest prototype was photographed during evaluation runs in mountainous terrain that are frequently selected by manufacturers to assess performance in thin-air environments, prolonged climbs, varying temperatures and road surfaces. While camouflage conceals most body panels, several production-ready elements are visible beneath the covering.

A closer examination of the test motorcycle reveals proportions that differ substantially from the smaller Xpulse 210. The front section appears tall and purposeful while the rear remains comparatively narrow. The rider’s triangle seems designed around stand-up riding while the sculpted bodywork around the fuel tank area should help riders maintain better control during technical off-road sections.

Hero is expected to introduce a new architecture as well as a steel trellis chassis could underpin the motorcycle providing the rigidity necessary for long touring and off-road use. Long travel suspension hardware can also be identified comprising upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock arrangement. Adjustable settings may be offered in select trims.

Hero-Xpulse-421-3 (2)
Patent Image

Power will come from a newly developed liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine displacing around 421 cc and expectations suggest output figures could settle close to 40 hp – placing the motorcycle directly against established rivals. Transmission duties will likely be handled by a six-speed gearbox while a bidirectional quickshifter could be introduced too.

The wheel setup seems tailored toward serious adventure riding. A large 21-inch wire-spoked front wheel paired with a slightly smaller 18-inch rear wheel remains the preferred formula wrapping dual-purpose rubber. A TFT instrumentation unit is expected to provide navigation support, smartphone pairing and connected functionality. Electronic assistance systems could comprise selectable riding programmes, traction management, electronic throttle control, switchable ABS and cruise control.

A rally-inspired profile, prominent wind protection, protective underbody elements, extended side panels and a commanding riding position will be other key highlights. It will likely make its global debut later this year before going on sale in India challenging machines such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure and the TVS Apache RTX 300.

2026 Honda Elevate Facelift Spied On Test, Launch This Year

GaadiWaadi -

Honda Elevate Facelift (1)

Introduced in June 2023, the Honda Elevate, also called ‘Honda WR-V’ in some markets, is due for a mid-cycle refresh

Just weeks after launching the new City in India, Honda has started testing the new Elevate on public roads. The company will be giving its mid-size SUV a facelift in the coming months. The mid-size SUV segment has seen a barrage of new launches since the end of last year, putting Honda under pressure to refresh the Elevate.

The company’s Hyundai Creta rival is already behind the competition in several key aspects, including features, performance, and fuel economy. The upcoming mid-cycle update should address some of these shortcomings and make the model more competitive.

The new Honda Elevate is likely to feature only subtle cosmetic updates. At the front, the updated model should have tweaked headlamp graphics, a restyled bumper, a new radiator grille, and a revised lower air intake. On the sides, new 17-inch alloy wheels may be the only change on the facelifted model. At the rear, Honda may tweak the tail lamp graphics and redesign the bumper.

Honda Elevate Facelift

The interior of the Honda Elevate may not have extensive design changes. Save for a few tweaks to the dashboard and centre console, the cabin should look unchanged overall. Honda may revise the colour scheme and trim of the interior, though. The company may introduce new features such as a panoramic sunroof, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a ventilation function for the front seats in the Elevate with the upcoming refresh.

The Honda Elevate is unlikely to receive any mechanical changes with the facelift. Currently, Honda offers the Elevate only with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 89 kW (119 hp) and 145 Nm of torque. Customers can choose a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT, with the former leading to a fuel economy of 15.31 km/l and the latter 16.92 km/l.

In addition to the Hyundai Creta, the new Honda Elevate will compete with the Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara, Maruti Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Renault Duster, and the upcoming Nissan Tekton. The facelifted mid-size SUV likely be launched in the third quarter of the year and its prices could start at around Rs. 11.75 lakh (ex-showroom).

Kawasaki Offers Huge Discounts Of Up To Rs. 2.89 Lakh In June 2026

GaadiWaadi -

Kawasaki-Ninja-ZX-6R.jpg

Kawasaki has introduced massive benefits in June 2026 on some of its popular adventure, touring and supersport motorcycles in India

Customers planning to purchase a Kawasaki motorcycle before the end of June have many reasons to visit dealerships. The Japanese manufacturer has introduced a set of nationwide incentives for its adventure, sport-touring and supersport categories allowing prospective owners to secure either substantial monetary savings or premium accessories at no additional cost.

Among the motorcycles receiving benefits, the Versys-X 300 carries an effective ex-showroom figure of Rs. 3.14 lakh following a price reduction of Rs. 35,000. Kawasaki is also bundling touring-oriented equipment worth up to Rs. 46,000. Consumers can choose accessories such as luggage solutions or a centre stand – pushing the overall value package to Rs. 81,000. The motorcycle employs a 296 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor generating 40 hp and 26 Nm.

Riders considering the Ninja 1100SX have also been included in the latest campaign. Instead of reducing the motorcycle’s sticker price, Kawasaki has concentrated on enhancing its touring nature. Customers can opt for factory panniers valued at Rs. 1.25 lakh or select a taller windscreen. Mechanical duties are handled by a 1,099 cc four-cylinder engine making around 136 hp and 113 Nm.

Moving into the supersport segment, Kawasaki is sweetening the Ninja ZX-6R package through the addition of a premium suspension-related component. Every eligible purchase receives an Ohlins steering damper valued at roughly Rs. 84,000. The ZX-6R uses a screaming inline-four configuration. Its 636 cc engine develops 124 hp and 69 Nm while electronic rider aids comprise traction control, selectable power modes and a quickshifter.

The largest financial advantage within the campaign belongs to the Ninja ZX-10R. Kawasaki has slashed the effective purchase price by Rs. 2.89 lakh – lowering the superbike’s ex-showroom figure to Rs. 17.90 lakh. The litre-class machine continues to derive power from a 998 cc inline-four engine delivering 203 hp and 114.9 Nm.

VW & Skoda May 2026 Sales – Taigun, Virtus, Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia, Kodiaq

GaadiWaadi -

2026-Skoda-Kushaq-Monte-Carlo.jpg

Skoda Kylaq sat at the top of the brand’s volume sales as Volkswagen Group endured mixed fortunes in the month of May 2026 in India

The Volkswagen Group recorded contrasting results in India in May 2026 as the volume brands Skoda and Volkswagen posted combined passenger vehicle sales of 8,379 units. While Skoda continued to benefit from the contribution of the Kylaq compact SUV, Volkswagen witnessed decline across most of its portfolio despite healthy numbers from the Taigun.

Skoda ended the month with 5,760 units, compared to 6,740 units during May 2025, resulting in a de-growth of 15 per cent. Volkswagen registered 2,619 units against 2,848 units in the corresponding month last year – a drop of 8 per cent. On a month-on-month basis, both brands also recorded lower volumes compared to previous month of April.

A significant portion of Skoda’s volume came from the Kylaq. The sub-four-metre SUV accumulated 3,443 units during May 2026 – accounting for nearly 60 per cent of the brand’s total tally. Despite a decline of 30 per cent compared to May last year and a 16 per cent reduction against April 2026, the Kylaq remained well ahead of every other Skoda model in the domestic lineup.

The Kushaq delivered notable growth figure within the Skoda range. Sales rose to 1,310 units from 644 units recorded a year earlier with a 103 per cent increase.

However, compared to April 2026, volumes fell by 29 per cent. The midsize SUV continues with the familiar 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines – generating up to 150 hp and 250 Nm in higher variants. The Slavia sedan posted 861 units last month against 937 units in May 2025. Although yearly numbers slipped by 8 per cent, the sedan managed a 4 per cent improvement compared to April 2026.
