2026 Mercedes-AMG E 53 Launched In India At Rs. 1.45 Crores

2026 Mercedes-AMG E 53

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the 2026 Mercedes-AMG E 53 in India, with prices starting at Rs. 1.45 crore (ex-showroom). Alongside the standard Performance Edition, the company has also launched the Racing Edition, priced at Rs. 1.48 crore (ex-showroom).

The performance-oriented luxury sedan, which made its global debut in 2024, brings several mechanical, styling and technology upgrades over the standard Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

Powering the AMG E 53 is a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol engine paired with a plug-in hybrid system. The setup combines the internal combustion engine with an electric motor and a 21.2 kWh usable battery pack, producing a combined output of 585 HP and 750 Nm of torque.

Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission and Mercedes-Benz’s 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system.

Mercedes-Benz claims the AMG E 53 accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in 4.0 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/hr. The Racing Edition comes equipped with the AMG Driver’s Package as standard, increasing the top speed to 280 km/hr.

The plug-in hybrid battery supports DC fast charging, with a 10-80% charge taking around 20 minutes using a 60 kW charger. An 11 kW AC charger can fully recharge the battery in approximately 2.25 hours. Mercedes-Benz also claims an electric-only driving range of up to 100 km.

Compared to the regular E-Class, the AMG E 53 features several performance-focused upgrades. These include an electronically controlled rear limited-slip differential, AMG-tuned air suspension, rear-axle steering and an upgraded high-performance braking system.

The exterior receives several AMG-specific design revisions. At the front, the sedan features the signature Panamericana grille with vertical slats, a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes and wider front fenders to accommodate the broader track.

Other exterior highlights include AMG side skirts, flush-fitting door handles, 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers, a boot-mounted spoiler, a rear diffuser and quad circular exhaust outlets.

Inside, the cabin gets AMG-specific detailing including a performance steering wheel, illuminated door sills and sports seats with heating function.

The dashboard houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.4-inch central infotainment touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Unlike some international variants, the passenger-side display offered as part of Mercedes’ Superscreen setup is not available on the India-spec model.

Additional equipment includes a Burmester surround sound system, head-up display, wireless smartphone charging, fingerprint authentication, ambient lighting with logo projection, automatic climate control and rear sunblinds.

On the safety front, the sedan comes equipped with a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and a driver monitoring system.

2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza

2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza continues to be sold through Arena dealerships; gets mild cosmetic revisions but new features and a turbo powertrain has been included

Maruti Suzuki has revised the lineup of Brezza with the facelift by bringing in a new turbo petrol powertrain, reshuffling features across variants and expanding safety equipment. The updated compact SUV is available in four trims – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+ – as consumers are able to choose between naturally aspirated petrol, turbo petrol and CNG powertrains.

5 Major New Mahindra SUVs You Can’t Afford To Miss – All Key Info

GaadiWaadi -

Mahindra Vision.T (2)

Mahindra has an extensive SUV pipeline for India lined up with updated best-sellers and all-new ICE and electric models part of the equation

Mahindra is gearing up for one of its busiest product offensives in recent years as it looks to expand both its ICE and born-electric SUV portfolio. The company has multiple launches planned over the next two years and most of them have already been previewed through concepts or spotted testing on Indian roads while others are expected to receive substantial updates to remain competitive in their respective segments.

The first major launch expected is the refreshed Scorpio N. The popular SUV is understood to be receiving a mid-cycle update within the next couple of months but Mahindra is unlikely to alter its overall design significantly. The facelift will gain revised LED lighting at both ends, redesigned alloy wheels and minor styling tweaks while the cabin could receive a larger infotainment touchscreen, updated connected vehicle functions and expanded driver assistance technology.

The three-door Thar is another important model approaching its first comprehensive update in its latest avatar. Test vehicles have been repeatedly spotted with camouflage pointing towards styling revisions inspired by the Thar Roxx. The front fascia will receive redesigned lighting elements and updated bumper styling while the interior could borrow several features from its five-door sibling such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system and additional equipment.

Mahindra BE07

An entirely new compact SUV will also join the range in the form of the Vision S production model. Expected to arrive in early 2027, it will slot between the XUV 3XO and Scorpio N giving Mahindra another monocoque SUV in the highly competitive compact SUV category. Built on the new NU_IQ architecture, the SUV is expected to feature an upright stance. Power may come from Mahindra’s existing turbo petrol and diesel engines already available in the XUV 3XO.

Mahindra’s electric range will also expand substantially with the arrival of the BE 07. To be pitched above the BE 6, the larger SUV will be underpinned by the INGLO skateboard platform and is expected to receive a larger battery pack capable of delivering a higher driving range. Multiple motor configurations are likely alongside a long list of premium features that could include three 12.3-inch displays across the dashboard, Level 2 ADAS, bi-directional charging, etc.

Mahindra Vision S (4)The BE 07 is expected to become one of Mahindra’s flagship electric offerings when it reaches showrooms next year. Another born-electric SUV is also under development drawing inspiration from the Vision T concept showcased earlier by Mahindra. It will gain a more upright and boxy appearance with greater emphasis on off-road capability as it could be an evolution of the Thar Roxx but with an all electric drivetrain. The production version is expected to arrive in 2028 following the Vision S-based compact SUV.

6 Upcoming Tata Cars & SUVs You Should Keep An Eye On

GaadiWaadi -

Tata Safari EV Rendering (1)

Tata Motors plans to grow its PV lineup to 15 nameplates by FY31 with 6 all-new models and more than 20 facelifts and refreshes part of the expansion

Tata Motors revealed an extensive product roadmap stretching to FY31 lately as it plans to increase its PV portfolio from the current nine nameplates to 15. Alongside the six additional models, the company has also confirmed that over 20 existing vehicles will receive facelifts or product updates over the coming years.

While most of the future products remain undisclosed, Tata’s investor presentation offered a glimpse of what is in store. Two unidentified silhouettes featured in the roadmap without any accompanying details. One is widely expected to become another member of the Avinya family while the other could emerge as either an SUV or a people mover.

Tata has not shared timelines, body styles or platform details for either model, leaving room for more announcements over the next few years. Rumoured products continue to attract attention as well. The Blackbird name has long been associated with a midsize SUV positioned between the Nexon and Harrier but Tata has never officially acknowledged the project.

The Scarlet is another name that has surfaced repeatedly in industry discussions largely in connection with a compact SUV. Among the vehicles already confirmed, the Avinya is a definitive highlight as Tata’s premium electric offering. Expected to enter production around the middle of 2027, the model has evolved considerably since its original concept debut.

Tata has also revised its technical direction with the production version now expected to ride on the Chery-JLR Freelander EV platform instead of the previously planned JLR EMA-derived architecture. The company is also developing a separate retail channel for Avinya models with a sportback expected to lead the range.

The Sierra EV joined the fray a few weeks ago and expanded the zero-emission range that already includes the Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV and Harrier EV. Tata is also expected to further consolidate it with larger family vehicles. A Safari EV has been widely reported and could arrive within the next 12 to 18 months.

Sharing technology with the Harrier EV, the three-row SUV is expected to take on rivals such as the Mahindra XEV 9S. Separately, Tata is believed to be evaluating a seven-seat electric MPV that could rival the upcoming Maruti Suzuki YMC, its Toyota sibling and the Kia Carens Clavis EV. Alongside these battery-powered vehicles, the company has indicated that petrol, diesel and alternative-fuel models will continue to be part of its future product plans.

Bajaj Confirms To Launch New 125-160 cc Pulsar Bikes Soon, Adv Coming Too?

GaadiWaadi -

Bajaj 250 cc Adventure Bike-2.jpg

Bajaj Auto has announced new motorcycles for the 125 to 160 cc segment following a record opening quarter while an dual-sport motorcycle is also expected soon

Bajaj Auto has confirmed that new motorcycles in the 125 to 160 cc category will arrive within the next two to three months as another round of product expansion is one the cards. The company revealed the plan while announcing its Q1 FY2027 financial results following a quarter that delivered record revenue and massive growth across its sports motorcycle business.

The updated Pulsar models are expected to lead the upcoming launches but Bajaj has not officially identified the motorcycles. The announcement is significant because the volume-based 125 to 160 cc category remains key to Bajaj’s domestic operations. The next generation Pulsar 125 is widely expected to be among the first motorcycles to arrive in the coming months as well.

Test mules have already been spotted on public roads with substantial mechanical and cosmetic revisions. Spy images point to a redesigned chassis coupled with a centrally mounted rear monoshock suspension replacing the existing layout while single-piece and split-seat seating configurations are also likely to enable an expansive portfolio targetting high volumes.

Feature additions are also expected across the upcoming Pulsar lineup. The new Pulsar 125 could receive LED headlamps, Bluetooth connectivity and a revised fully digital instrument cluster. Similar upgrades are expected for the refreshed Pulsar 150. Mechanical improvements are also likely for both offerings as revised engine tuning may improve low-end torque, reduce NVH levels and deliver higher fuel efficiency.

Bajaj said product interventions across the Pulsar range contributed to appreciable results in the April to June quarter. The entry-level sports motorcycle segment expanded by around 50 per cent year-on-year with the company recording additional market share during the period. It is worth noting that the overall revenue rose 37 per cent to a record Rs. 17,244 crore.

Electric scooters already account for nearly 20 per cent of Bajaj’s overall two-wheeler sales and the company expects a slew of new launches over the next few months to create entirely new market opportunities. More specifically, new variants of Chetak are highly anticipated. Development work is also progressing on a new dual-sport adventure-based motorcycle.

Camouflaged prototypes have already been spotted undergoing road tests and it could be equipped with a quarter litre engine. The Chakan-based company is also set to introduce its first-ever electric motorcycle which will appeal to export markets initially.
