Mahindra has an extensive SUV pipeline for India lined up with updated best-sellers and all-new ICE and electric models part of the equation
Mahindra is gearing up for one of its busiest product offensives in recent years as it looks to expand both its ICE and born-electric SUV portfolio. The company has multiple launches planned over the next two years and most of them have already been previewed through concepts or spotted testing on Indian roads while others are expected to receive substantial updates to remain competitive in their respective segments.
The first major launch expected is the refreshed Scorpio N. The popular SUV is understood to be receiving a mid-cycle update within the next couple of months but Mahindra is unlikely to alter its overall design significantly. The facelift will gain revised LED lighting at both ends, redesigned alloy wheels and minor styling tweaks while the cabin could receive a larger infotainment touchscreen, updated connected vehicle functions and expanded driver assistance technology.
The three-door Thar is another important model approaching its first comprehensive update in its latest avatar. Test vehicles have been repeatedly spotted with camouflage pointing towards styling revisions inspired by the Thar Roxx. The front fascia will receive redesigned lighting elements and updated bumper styling while the interior could borrow several features from its five-door sibling such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system and additional equipment.

An entirely new compact SUV will also join the range in the form of the Vision S production model. Expected to arrive in early 2027, it will slot between the XUV 3XO and Scorpio N giving Mahindra another monocoque SUV in the highly competitive compact SUV category. Built on the new NU_IQ architecture, the SUV is expected to feature an upright stance. Power may come from Mahindra’s existing turbo petrol and diesel engines already available in the XUV 3XO.
Mahindra’s electric range will also expand substantially with the arrival of the BE 07. To be pitched above the BE 6, the larger SUV will be underpinned by the INGLO skateboard platform and is expected to receive a larger battery pack capable of delivering a higher driving range. Multiple motor configurations are likely alongside a long list of premium features that could include three 12.3-inch displays across the dashboard, Level 2 ADAS, bi-directional charging, etc.

The BE 07 is expected to become one of Mahindra’s flagship electric offerings when it reaches showrooms next year. Another born-electric SUV is also under development drawing inspiration from the Vision T concept showcased earlier by Mahindra. It will gain a more upright and boxy appearance with greater emphasis on off-road capability as it could be an evolution of the Thar Roxx but with an all electric drivetrain. The production version is expected to arrive in 2028 following the Vision S-based compact SUV.
