Tata Cars Get Discounts Of Up To Rs. 1.25 Lakh In August 2026

GaadiWaadi -

Tata Nexon (5)

The Tata Curvv gets the biggest benefit this month, while the Nexon, Altroz, Harrier, Safari and other models also get sizeable offers

Tata Motors is offering some fairly attractive deals on its passenger vehicle range this August. The offers are valid from August 1 to August 31, 2026, and cover everything from the Altroz and Nexon to the Curvv, Harrier, Safari and the recently launched Sierra. The maximum consumer benefit goes up to Rs 1.25 lakh, although, as always, the actual amount you can claim will depend on the variant, fuel type and whether you qualify for exchange, scrappage or loyalty benefits.

The Curvv gets the biggest offer of the lot. All powertrain options are eligible for a Rs 30,000 consumer offer, along with a Rs 40,000 exchange benefit or Rs 45,000 scrappage benefit. Existing Tata customers can also get a Rs 50,000 loyalty benefit. This takes the maximum consumer benefit to Rs 1.25 lakh. There is also a Rs 5,000 corporate discount for eligible buyers. The important bit here is that exchange and scrappage benefits are alternatives, rather than something that can simply be added together.

The Nexon gets a slightly more complicated set of offers depending on the powertrain. Petrol manual variants can get benefits of up to Rs 65,000, comprising a Rs 10,000 consumer offer, Rs 35,000 Freedom offer, Rs 15,000 exchange and Rs 20,000 scrappage benefits. Other petrol variants get up to Rs 50,000, while the CNG version gets up to Rs 45,000. The diesel Nexon gets a more modest Rs 20,000 benefit. Corporate buyers can get another Rs 5,000 depending on the variant and eligibility.

There are a few conditions worth keeping in mind before you get too excited about that big Rs 1.25 lakh figure. All amounts in the scheme are inclusive of taxes/GST, and exchange and scrappage benefits cannot be claimed together. The loyalty benefit is restricted to existing Tata customers, while the Level Up offer is applicable only to defined customer segments and eligible competitor models.

2026 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift Leaks Fully Ahead Of Launch This Month

GaadiWaadi -

2026 Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift Interior

Dealer dispatch videos of the 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N facelift reveal exterior and cabin changes ahead of official reveal on August 15

It looks like units of the facelifted Mahindra Scorpio N have begun dispatching across the country days before Mahindra’s planned August 15 launch. The visuals in circulation come from a video posted on Instagram filmed at a dealership where a top-spec Z8L unit was seen next to the delivery truck. From it, we can see multiple updates inside and out.

The 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N sits on new 18-inch alloy wheels finished in grey and silver. White protective vinyl still covers much of the bumper and body panels but the front end is visible enough to confirm the current grille, LED projector headlamp and halogen unit carry over unchanged. A front-facing camera is the apparent new addition at the nose and cameras built into the ORVMs point to a 360-degree camera system.

The unit itself is finished in a dark shade of green. On the inside, the cabin’s mocha brown and black colour scheme and material quality carry over from the outgoing SUV. The bigger change sits at the dashboard’s centre where a 10.25-inch touchscreen – shared with the Thar Roxx and the three-door Thar – takes over from the smaller 8-inch unit alongside a matching 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

AC vents move from vertical to horizontal framed by a new silver bezel around both the screen and the vents. Little else changes inside as the steering wheel, climate control unit and centre console switch panel all look the same as on the current model. A panoramic sunroof features on the facelift and the opening runs considerably larger than what current customers get.

Both rows also pick up 65W fast-charging USB Type-C ports – one at the front and one at the rear. Mahindra is keeping both existing engines for the facelift: the 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and the 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel – each offered with 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions. A 4×4 option stays limited to select diesel variants.

Power figures for the diesel at 132 bhp and 300 Nm in its lower state of tune and 175 bhp with 370 Nm on manual or 400 Nm on automatic in its higher state while the petrol engine makes 203 bhp and 370 Nm on manual or 380 Nm on automatic. The Scorpio-N facelift could debut alongside the production version of the Vision S concept and an updated BE 6 by the middle of the month.

Bajaj Auto’s Exports Overtake Domestic sales As July 2026 Volumes Up 30%

GaadiWaadi -

2026-bajaj-pulsar-125-1.jpg

Two-wheeler and commercial vehicle shipments of Bajaj abroad grew faster than sales at home, both for the month of July 2026 and the financial year so far

Bajaj Auto sold a total of 4,74,677 units in July 2026 with a 30 per cent jump over 3,66,000 units endured during the same month last year. Exports outpaced domestic sales in absolute terms this time with 2,54,485 units shipped overseas against 2,20,192 units sold in the home market. The growth rates shows that the exports rose 39 per cent year-on-year – nearly double the 20 per cent increase recorded domestically.

The two-wheeler category accounted for 3,88,719 of the month’s 4,74,677 units – well over three-quarters of total volumes as sales in the segment grew 31 per cent from 2,96,247 units a year earlier. Export growth was the main highlight number here too – up 42 per cent to 2,22,972 units while domestic two-wheeler sales rose a slower 19 per cent to 1,65,747 units.

Commercial vehicles, a smaller part of the business, still posted a healthy month. The brand’s total sales in the segment reached 85,958 units – up 23 per cent from 69,753 units. The domestic commercial vehicle sales climbed 24 per cent to 54,445 units – narrowly ahead of the 22 per cent export growth that took overseas shipments to 31,513 units. It was the one category in July where domestic growth outran exports.

Glancing over the first four months of the financial year and the pattern holds. Between April and July 2026, Bajaj Auto sold 19,12,928 units – up 29 per cent from 14,77,237 units in the corresponding period last year. Exports for the stretch reached 9,86,658 units against 9,26,270 units sold domestically with its growth at 50 per cent well clear of the 13 per cent rise at home.

The homegrown brand’s two-wheeler exports carried the year-to-date numbers as well. Shipments abroad rose 49 per cent to 8,58,977 units over the four months compared with 13 per cent domestic growth that brought local two-wheeler sales to 7,52,294 units. Combined, the segment’s total for four months came to 16,11,271 units – up from 12,45,038 units.

The domestic CV sales for the period grew a comparatively modest 17 per cent – reaching 1,73,976 units. The segment’s combined four-month sales stood at 3,01,657 units as against 2,32,199 units in April-July 2025.

KTM RC 490 Confirmed: New Twin-Cylinder Supersport Coming By 2027

GaadiWaadi -

ktm-rc-450-china.jpg

KTM has confirmed that an RC 490 is in the works, with the new twin-cylinder motorcycle expected to sit above the 390 range in the brand’s global line-up

KTM has officially confirmed that an RC 490 is in development. The confirmation comes directly from KTM’s top management, with the Austrian manufacturer planning to strengthen its low- and mid-capacity supersport portfolio. The RC 490 is expected to arrive towards the end of 2027, although KTM has not announced a specific launch date yet.

The new motorcycle is expected to be based on the sub-500cc twin-cylinder platform being co-developed by Bajaj and KTM in India. This is important because the upcoming 490 engine is a completely different project from the KTM RC 450 sold in China. That motorcycle uses a CFMoto-derived 449cc twin-cylinder engine and is unlikely to make its way to India. The new 490 platform, on the other hand, is being developed with Bajaj playing a much bigger role.

KTM has not revealed the engine specifications yet, so there is no point putting a made-up power figure here. What we do know is that the new engine is being developed for the A2 licence category, which means its output is expected to stay below 48 bhp or 35 kW. The engine will be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan facility, further strengthening India’s role in KTM’s global product development.

KTM RC 450

The RC 490 will likely sit between the RC 390 and the upcoming RC 790 in KTM’s supersport line-up. KTM has also indicated that its future supersport motorcycles will draw heavily from the company’s MotoGP experience, so expect the RC 490 to carry plenty of the sharp, aggressive design that has become synonymous with the RC family. It should also be considerably more performance-focused than the existing 350cc-powered KTM models.

Interestingly, the 490 could eventually replace the current 390 family in international markets. That makes sense if the two motorcycles eventually offer similar performance despite the difference in displacement. India could be a little different, though. KTM may continue selling the new 350 cc-powered 390 models as more affordable alternatives while positioning the 490 range as a more premium upgrade for riders looking for more performance and, importantly, the refinement of a twin-cylinder engine.

The RC 490 will not be alone either. The same platform is expected to spawn the 490 Duke and 490 Adventure, with the Duke expected to arrive before the Adventure. The RC version was previously considered a possibility, but we now know that KTM is indeed working on it. The new range is expected to make its global debut towards the end of 2027, with market launches following thereafter.

Royal Enfield Sales Rise 34% In July 2026, Cross 1.18 Lakh Units

GaadiWaadi -

Royal-Enfield-Goan-Classic-350-2.jpg

Royal Enfield continued its strong run in July with domestic sales growing 38 per cent, while the Flying Flea C6 is also seeing encouraging interest

Royal Enfield had another strong month in July 2026. The Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer sold 1,18,232 motorcycles during the month, registering a healthy 34 per cent year-on-year growth over the 88,045 units sold in July 2025. Domestic sales were particularly strong, with 1,05,317 motorcycles compared to 76,254 units last year. That works out to a 38 per cent increase.

Exports also moved in the right direction, although the growth was considerably more modest. Royal Enfield shipped 12,915 motorcycles overseas in July, up 10 per cent from 11,791 units in the same month last year. The company’s total sales for the first four months of FY2026-27 have now reached 4,48,659 units, representing a 27 per cent increase over the 3,53,573 motorcycles sold during the same period last year.

The core motorcycle portfolio remains the biggest contributor to this performance, but Royal Enfield’s electric ambitions are also beginning to take shape. The company’s first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, has reportedly received an encouraging response. Royal Enfield is now adding 10 new retail touchpoints across Bengaluru to the existing outlet in Jayanagar. These will provide sales as well as after-sales support for the new electric motorcycle.

The company is also preparing itself for higher production volumes in the years ahead. Royal Enfield has committed Rs 1,225 crore for Phase I of a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. Once fully operational, the facility will add capacity for up to 4.5 lakh motorcycles annually. The plant is targeted for completion during FY2029-30, giving Royal Enfield considerable additional headroom as it expands its portfolio.

There was also plenty happening on the lifestyle and community side. The 22nd Himalayan Odyssey brought together riders from eight countries and covered more than 4,200 km across three expedition formats. Meanwhile, the limited-edition Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts generated more than 9,000 registrations globally. Only 25 units were allocated to India, and those motorcycles were sold out in just three minutes.

For Royal Enfield, then, July was not just about selling more motorcycles. The company is simultaneously expanding production capacity, pushing its electric motorcycle plans and continuing to build the community around the brand. With the festive season now approaching, the numbers could get even more interesting. Royal Enfield already has plenty of momentum; the challenge will be keeping it going as the portfolio gets bigger and increasingly diverse.

Kia India To Launch More Electrified And CNG Cars Soon

GaadiWaadi -

Kia Seltos Hybrid (1)

Kia India is preparing a major powertrain overhaul, with EVs, strong hybrids and factory-fitted CNG cars set to expand its portfolio over the next few years

Kia India is preparing for a rather interesting change in its product strategy. The company wants eight out of its 10 models to be electrified by 2030, but it isn’t putting all its eggs in the EV basket. Strong hybrids and factory-fitted CNG models are also being developed.

The company already has four EVs in its Indian portfolio, the EV6, EV9, Carens Clavis EV and Syros EV. The latter has also given Kia a much more affordable entry point into the electric car market. The company is now working on localising hybrid technology, which should help bring down costs and make these powertrains more viable in India. A fully electric Seltos is also being evaluated, although Kia has not taken a final decision on it yet.

The Seltos, Sorento and Carnival are all expected to get strong-hybrid powertrains. The Sorento is particularly interesting as it is expected to arrive in India in the coming months and could become Kia’s first strong-hybrid model here. The three-row SUV is expected to be locally assembled. The Carnival is also expected to get a hybrid powertrain, giving buyers of the premium MPV an alternative to its existing diesel setup.

Kia Sorento

Kia’s hybrid plans could potentially take the company to seven electrified models when combined with its four existing EVs. Kia will add one more EV as it has set an eight-model target. A compact SUV such as the Sonet could be a candidate, although Kia has not confirmed which model will get the technology. It is also worth remembering that the company’s definition of electrified includes both battery EVs and strong hybrids.

There is another fuel type that Kia is quietly working on. The company has confirmed that factory-fitted CNG models are under development for the Indian market. Kia currently does not sell a factory CNG car, although the Carens can be fitted with a dealer-installed CNG kit. Engineering work on proper factory-fitted systems is already underway, but there is no confirmed launch timeline yet. Kia is also evaluating CNG across different segments instead of restricting it to MPVs.

This multi-powertrain approach actually makes a lot of sense for India. EVs are growing rapidly, but charging infrastructure and purchase prices remain concerns for many buyers. Strong hybrids offer a middle ground, while CNG continues to appeal to customers who want lower running costs without changing their driving habits. Kia therefore seems to be taking the sensible route of giving buyers options rather than assuming everyone wants the same thing.

3 Upcoming Honda Cars In India (Including 2 SUVs)

GaadiWaadi -

Honda Electric SUV

Honda has a busy year ahead with an updated Elevate, its first electric SUV for India and the iconic Prelude

Honda Cars India has been relatively quiet when it comes to new products, but that is changing rather quickly. The company has already introduced the updated City and brought the ZR-V to India, and they aren’t stopping there. The next phase of Honda’s product offensive will include the Elevate facelift, the 0 Alpha electric SUV and the new Prelude.

1. Honda Elevate Facelift

The Elevate is expected to receive its first major update in the second half of 2026. Honda is unlikely to reinvent the SUV, but there should be enough changes to make it feel fresher in an increasingly competitive segment. Expect revised bumpers, lighting elements and grille details, along with some changes at the rear. The cabin is also likely to receive a few much-needed upgrades.

Honda Elevate Facelift (1)

Honda has already confirmed that features such as ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera, currently available through the accessory route, could eventually be offered as factory-fitted equipment. The updated Elevate could also get improvements to the infotainment system and interior trim. Mechanically, the familiar 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to continue. It currently makes 121 PS and 145 Nm and can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or CVT. Honda could even surprise us with an Hybrid variant of the Elevate and that would really be game changing for the company.

2. Honda 0 Alpha Electric SUV

The more significant launch for Honda will be its first proper electric car in India. The Honda 0 Alpha has already started testing on Indian roads and is expected to arrive during the current financial year. The production model will have its own identity and will be based on Honda’s dedicated electric architecture. Honda is also planning to manufacture it in India, rather than simply bringing it in as an expensive CBU.

The exact battery and motor specifications have not been announced yet, but reports point towards a battery in the 50-70kWh range and a real-world driving range of around 450-500 km. The initial version is expected to use a single electric motor driving the front wheels, while an AWD version could follow later. In terms of positioning, the new EV should take on cars such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6 and Maruti e Vitara.

Also Read: 3 All-New Tata Electric Cars Worth Waiting For In India; Arriving Soon

3. Honda Prelude

And then there is the car that will probably make the most noise despite selling in the smallest numbers. The Honda Prelude is coming to India as a fully imported model, bringing back one of Honda’s most recognisable nameplates. It is expected to arrive towards the end of 2026 or by 2027 and will be positioned as a niche performance-oriented coupe rather than a volume product.

Honda Prelude

The new Prelude is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with Honda’s two-motor hybrid system. Combined output stands at around 200 hp, while the system produces up to 315 Nm. It does not use a conventional gearbox; instead, Honda’s S+ Shift system simulates gear changes to make the driving experience feel more familiar. The Prelude also gets chassis technology derived from the Civic Type R, although Honda is positioning it more as a sporty grand tourer than an outright track weapon.

Honda is therefore taking a rather interesting approach to India. Three very different cars, but all of them are important in their own way. After years of Honda fans asking for more exciting products, it is nice to see the company finally giving us something to talk about.
