Tata Motors will launch at least five new SUV models by the end of this financial year (FY25) in the Indian market
Tata Motors is ready with its SUV onslaught in the coming 6-8 months in the Indian market. The company will launch several new SUVs in the country, including ICE and EV models. It recently launched the 2025 Tata Altroz facelift in the domestic market with a plethora of cosmetic updates and multiple first-in-segment features. We will see at least 5 five new SUVs from Tata Motors by the end of 2025. In this piece, we will talk in detail about the upcoming Tata SUVs in India in 2025-26, which includes ICE and EVs.
1. Tata Harrier EV
The Harrier EV price will finally be announced on June 3 in the Indian market. It has already been showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in the production-ready form. The e-SUV will come with a dual motor setup, one on each axle, and an all-wheel-drive system to offer a peak torque performance of 500 Nm. Tata Harrier EV battery details are not in public domain yet. However, we expect it to be equipped with a 60-75 kWh battery pack to return a driving range of 500+ km on a full charge.

2. 2025 Tata Harrier Petrol
The 2025 Harrier with petrol engine has been spotted on several occasions during its test runs. The SUV is expected to go on sale by July-August 2025 in our country. It will carry a 1.5L 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which will belt out top power of 168 bhp and highest torque of 280 Nm. The engine will be compliant with BS6 Phase II emission norms while also being able to run on the latest E20 ethanol petrol mixture fuel. The buyers will have a choice of manual as well as automatic gearboxes.
3. 2025 Tata Safari Petrol
The 2025 Safari has also been spotted testing alongside the Harrier facelift. It will share the same 1.5L 3-cylinder TGDi petrol engine as its 5-seater counterpart. The power and torque figures are also likely to be similar. However, it could become the first model in its segment to be available with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The 1.5L turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 and it will finally debut in the coming few months with the Harrier and Safari.

4. Tata Sierra ICE
The ICE-powered Tata Sierra was unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in a pre-production guise. It will be launched around Oct-Nov 2025 in the domestic market to fully leverage the festive season vibe. The Sierra will borrow the same 1.5L turbo petrol and 2.0L diesel engines from the Safari and Harrier with manual and automatic transmission options. It will be Tata’s challenger to Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti’s upcoming 5-seater mid size SUV. Expect the prices to start from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
5. Tata Sierra EV
Underpinning the company’s Gen 2 Acti.ev architecture, it will come with a battery pack of 60-75 kWh while driving range would be in excess of 500 km on a single charge. It will also feature V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functions as standard. Tata Sierra EV would be quite similar to the ICE version in terms of styling, features and safety equipment, except for a handful of EV-specific changes. The all-electric SUV will be positioned below the Harrier EV in Tata’s portfolio.
