JSW MG Motor India recorded a wholesale tally of 6,304 units in May 2025, marking a 40 per cent jump over the 4,510 units in the same period last year. The spike in numbers was largely driven by the recently launched Pro variant of the Windsor which has quickly become the brand’s strongest volume contributor.
The Windsor carried nearly two-thirds of the brand’s total volume last month. The rest of the range, however, mostly slipped backward. While the Windsor EV posted 3,939 units, the Hector could only manage a total of 1,098 units last month as against 1,906 units in May 2024 with a massive YoY decline of 42 per cent.
The Comet EV came in at this with a domestic tally of 823 units in May 2025 as against 1,200 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago with a YoY de-growth of 31 per cent. Triple-digit growth pushed its MoM number past 330 per cent, indicating a possible recovery in demand. The ZS EV, meanwhile, dropped sharply in both YoY and MoM terms.

For those choosing the conventional route, the fully electric five-seater carries a price tag of Rs. 18.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The Windsor Pro features a larger 52.9 kWh battery, pushing its certified driving range to 449 km per charge – an upgrade over the standard Windsor’s 332 km figure. Output stands at 136 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque.

The British brand is currently preparing to expand its India lineup with three new models currently in the pipeline. MG’s upcoming Cyberster electric sportscar and the M9 electric MPV are both set to be retailed through its premium MG Select dealerships once they hit the market in the coming months. Also on the way is the Majestor – positioned as a more premium iteration of the Gloster.
