Royal Enfield recorded a tally of 88,045 units in July 2025 with a healthy YoY sales surge of 31 per cent
Royal Enfield registered a total of 88,045 motorcycles in the month of July 2025 enduring a 31 per cent increase over the same period last year. Of these, domestic dispatches accounted for 76,254 units – marking a 25 per cent rise compared to July 2024. Exports also saw a significant boost with 11,791 motorcycles shipped abroad.
The numbers nearly doubled compared to 6,057 units sold in the corresponding period last year. Between April and July 2025, the Chennai-based manufacturer’s cumulative year-to-date domestic numbers stood at 3,05,033 units – up 15 per cent from 2,65,894 during the same four months in FY24. Overseas volumes during the same window rose from 28,278 to 48,540 units with a 72 per cent growth.
The combined tally in these four months reached 3,53,573 motorcycles – 20 per cent higher than last year’s figure. According to Royal Enfield’s CEO and Eicher Motors MD, B. Govindarajan, the brand’s recent launches based on the Sherpa 450 platform as well as the updated Hunter 350 are witnessing good demand both in India and across global markets.

On July 15, the 21st edition of the Himalayan Odyssey was wrapped up. Stretching 2,600 km across Ladakh, Zanskar and Spiti over 18 days, the ride saw participation from 77 motorcyclists around the world. The route included the ascent to Umling La – widely regarded as the planet’s highest motorable road. Royal Enfield also expanded its apparel and gear lineup last month.
Efforts are actively progressing on expanding the 450 cc range even as groundwork begins for a new generation of higher-displacement motorcycles. The upcoming models – projected to fall between 650 and 750 cc – are being readied across multiple segments. Royal Enfield is reported to be developing a cafĂ© racer derivative of the Guerrilla 450 with a launch timeframe pegged around 2026.

The model is expected to compete directly with Triumph’s upcoming Thruxton 400 which is scheduled to break cover soon. At the upper end of its engine range, Royal Enfield is in the midst of developing an all-new 750 cc powertrain known internally as the ‘R’ platform. The Continental GT-R is expected to be the first motorcycle to emerge from this architecture.
