Hyundai, Mahindra and Tata are planning to bring in new SUVs this festive season and here we have explained about them
With the festive season in full swing, carmakers are gearing up to tap into the usual surge in buyer interest. Key brands such as Hyundai, Mahindra and Tata have scheduled significant launches to capture attention – offering refreshed models and new features. Here’s a closer look at three popular SUVs set to receive major updates during this auspicious time:
1. New Gen Hyundai Venue:
Hyundai will introduce the new generation Venue with prototypes spotted frequently on Indian roads hinting that a launch is nearing in November. The popular compact SUV is set for a full redesign with sharper exterior lines and a cabin that feels noticeably more premium. The new Venue is expected to come packed with additional features too.
The upcoming Hyundai Venue will likely gain a panoramic sunroof and Level 2 ADAS while the SUV’s design is inspired by Hyundai’s larger models. Mechanically, the Venue will continue with its trusted engine options: the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel.

2. 3-Door Mahindra Thar Facelift:
Mahindra is all set to launch the facelift for its three-door Thar with several heavily camouflaged prototypes spotted in recent months. The update is expected to draw styling inspiration from the Thar Roxx while a recent sighting at a dealer lot revealed subtle differences compared with earlier test mules.
Stepping inside, the facelifted Thar is set to receive a bigger touchscreen infotainment setup with updated connectivity options, repositioned AC vent controls, a wireless smartphone charger, upgraded trims and materials and a reverse camera. Mechanically, the SUV will continue with the existing petrol and diesel engines.

3. Tata Punch Facelift:

Since hitting showrooms four years ago, the Tata Punch ICE has largely remained unchanged, in contrast to many of the brand’s other volume SUVs that have seen regular updates. That is set to change soon as Tata prepares a facelift that draws styling cues from the Punch EV. On the inside, the micro SUV is also expected to get new features and upgrades.
