At least five new SUVs from mainstream brands are coming to Indian showrooms in the next two months, with several models already officially confirmed
2025 might be coming to a close, but there are several new highly anticipated cars that are still scheduled to arrive in Indian showrooms this year. Here are the five most anticipated SUVs that will likely go on sale in our market within the next two months:
1. All-new Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue has entered its second generation with a sharper and bolder design, improved space, and a host of new comfort and connectivity technologies. Dual 12.3-inch curved displays running Hyundai Motor Group’s latest ‘ccNC’ software, a 4-way power driver’s seat, and 2-step reclining rear seats are some of the key highlights of the all-new Hyundai Venue. The all-new model will be launched on 4th November.

2. All-new Tata Sierra

Returning to showrooms after a two-decade hiatus, the all-new Tata Sierra will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta and VW Taigun. Combining a familiar boxy exterior with a classy and practical interior designed keeping in mind modern needs, the all-new Sierra will be an SUV like no other in its segment. It will likely be launched in November, followed shortly by a first-ever Sierra.ev. Unlike the all-new Sierra, the Sierra.ev should offer segment-first AWD capability.
3. New Tata Punch

A new Punch is also expected to enter Tata Motors showrooms in India next month. It will be a facelifted model, likely featuring new bumpers, tweaked headlights, new 16-inch wheels, a revised dashboard design, a new steering wheel with an illuminated brand logo, and a new digital instrument cluster. No mechanical changes are expected in the Punch next month, but the Punch.ev could adopt a larger battery pack for improved range.

4. Mahindra XEV 7e
The Mahindra XEV 7e will be a conventionally shaped, SUV equivalent of the Mahindra XEV 9e and feature a more family-friendly interior with three-row seating. Essentially a pure electric sibling of the Mahindra XUV 700, it should come with features like a front passenger touchscreen, semi-active dampers, AR-HUD, front and rear wireless smartphone chargers, a 16-million-colour ambient lighting system, and seven airbags.

We expect it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h as quickly as around seven seconds and deliver a range of up to around 575 km. Mahindra has confirmed that it plans to launch an EV in November and that model could be the XEV 7e.
5. Maruti e Vitara

Expected to go on sale in December, the Maruti e Vitara is the company’s first EV, competing with the Hyundai Creta Electric and Mahindra XUV 400. Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that it will offer this model with 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-way power driver’s seat, a 40:20:40-split rear seat, and seven airbags. The company will launch it in standard-range and long-range models and expects the latter to cover a distance of over 500 km on a full charge.
