The domestic passenger vehicle business accounted for 65,253 units out of Tata Motors’ total August sales of 67,753 units. Its volumes in the foreign markets contributed the remaining 2,500 units. The combined figure shows a substantial increase over the 43,315 units sold across the two markets in the same period twelve months ago.

The EV numbers also show an appreciable increase in Tata Motors’ volumes compared to its overall passenger vehicle business as the Nexon EV and Punch EV have been major contributors along with Tiago EV and the more premium Harrier EV. The electrified Sierra joined the party recently while the Safari is expected to be introduced in the near future.
