TVS Posts 6 Lakh+ Units Sales In August 2026, Electric 2Ws Up 137%

TVS went past 6.16 lakh units in August 2026 as electric two-wheeler sales rose 137 per cent and international volumes grew 29 per cent

TVS Motor Company posted 6,16,540 units in August 2026 which led to a 21 per cent growth over 5,09,536 units sold during the same period twelve months ago. Its two-wheeler business accounted for 5,91,437 units – up 21 per cent from 4,90,788 units a year earlier. The company also reported growth across electric two-wheelers, international business and three-wheelers during the month.

The domestic two-wheeler sales stood at 4,33,796 units in August when compared to 3,68,862 units in the same month last year. The local business rose 18 per cent year on year. The total two-wheeler volume also increased 21 per cent as the brand sold 1,00,649 more units than it did in August 2025 due to the presence of an expansive portfolio.

Its electric two-wheeler business produced the highest growth rate among the reported segments. The company sold 59,453 electric two-wheelers last month compared to 25,138 units in August 2025 as the volume increased by 34,315 units which resulted in a 137 per cent year-on-year volume rise as the iQube and Orbiter have been well received by consumers.

TVS’ international business recorded sales of 1,74,452 units in August 2026 when compared to 1,35,367 units a year earlier as it rose 29 per cent year on year. It contributed 1,57,641 units – up from 1,21,926 units sold during the corresponding period last year. The three-wheeler business also recorded double digit growth last month as well.

The Hosur-based manufacturer sold 25,103 three-wheelers last month as compared to 18,748 units in August 2025. The segment rose 34 per cent year on year – adding 6,355 units to its monthly volume. The two-wheeler business, which has been the major contributor, crossed 5.9 lakh units as the Apache series and Jupiter scooter range are amongst the brand’s popular offerings.

TVS’ recent launches such as the Ntorq 150 and Apache RTX 300 have been a hit as well while the more premium Norton range will make its way to the domestic market in the near future. The iQube’s excellent run led to it crossing one million unit sales which in turn led to the brand beating Ola Electric to become the largest selling electric two-wheeler maker in the country.
