2026 Skoda Slavia facelift gains an eight-speed auto and cosmetic revisions as part of its mid-cycle update in India
The Skoda Slavia facelift will launch in India tomorrow as prices will be announced to complete the sedan’s first substantial update since its market introduction. The company has already started production at its Chakan plant in Pune and pre-bookings are open for Rs. 15,000. The deliveries are expected during the festive period with the sedan again positioned against the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus.
The exterior receives a redesigned front grille, revised bumpers, new LED headlamps and updated LED taillamps. The rear lighting now gets sequential indicators and new alloy wheels. The visual treatment also extends to the top-spec Monte Carlo trim. As you might already know, the overall proportions stay the same as the outgoing sedan.
The biggest mechanical update comes with the 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine which now gets an eight-speed torque converter automatic option. The three-cylinder turbo petrol motor continues to kick out 115 hp and 178 Nm and a six-speed manual is available as standard. The 1.5-litre TSI delivers 150 hp and 250 Nm and retains its seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
The cabin gains several additions that move the Slavia facelift into a more premium territory. The equipment list comprises a 360-degree camera system, Park Pilot with front parking sensors and a rear seat massage function. The upper variants also get a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The infotainment package also introduces an AI Companion powered by Google Cloud. Skoda keeps six airbags as standard across the Slavia range. The sedan also retains electronic stability control and other active safety systems already offered on the outgoing model. The existing car holds a five-star Global NCAP rating which remains one of the Slavia’s key credentials in the segment.
The variant portfolio includes Classic, Classic Plus, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. The facelift also adds new exterior colour choices such as Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige according to current product information. The body measures 4,541 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width and 1,507 mm in height, with a 2,651 mm wheelbase. The model sits on the MQB-A0-IN platform and comes from Skoda’s local production facility.
The Slavia has recorded close to 80,000 sales in India since its introduction and tomorrow’s price announcement will show how Skoda positions the updated sedan against its rivals as we expect a minor price hike. The ownership package includes a four-year standard warranty, four years of roadside assistance and four labour free services under Skoda Super Care. The outgoing range sits around Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 18 lakh (ex-showroom).
