In the motorcycle category, the entry-level HF Deluxe Pro was launched, positioned to appeal to budget conscious consumers through updated styling and added features.

Maruti Suzuki Sells 1.80 Lakh+ Units In July 2025 – Exports Surge

GaadiWaadi -

New-2025-Maruti-Suzuki-Dzire-4.jpg

The overall tally for Maruti Suzuki reached 1,80,526 vehicles for the month, higher than July 2024’s 1,75,041 units

Of the 1.80 lakh vehicles sold by Maruti Suzuki in July 2025, over 1.4 lakh units were domestic dispatches while more than 31,000 vehicles were shipped overseas. The remaining volume, slightly over 8,000 units, came from orders fulfilled for Toyota. While total volumes rose marginally compared to July 2024, gains were more visible in exports than at home.

Sales of smaller cars such as the Alto and S-Presso slid once again – ending the month nearly 3,100 units behind their July 2024 tally. Together, the two added up to 6,822 units. In contrast, compact hatchbacks and sedans such as the Swift, WagonR and Baleno posted strong numbers at 65,667 units – comfortably ahead of the same period last year.

The overall contribution from the entry-level A segment comprising mini and compact cars along with Ciaz stood at 72,662 units – up slightly from the same period in 2024. Maruti Suzuki’s sole midsize sedan offering, the Ciaz, dropped to just 173 units in July. Compared to the April-July quarter of the last financial year, though, the company has lost over 20,000 units in this segment.

Utility vehicle sales, led by models such as the Brezza, Ertiga and Grand Vitara, dropped by over 3,500 units on a year-on-year basis. The company sold 52,773 UVs in July, compared to 56,302 in the same month last year. Van sales, represented solely by the Eeco, showed a modest rise – climbing from 11,916 units to 12,341 while sales of the Super Carry LCV, however, saw a marginal decline of under 100 units.

The largest carmaker in the country’s total domestic dispatches including both passenger vehicles and commercial models like the Super Carry stood at 1,40,570 units. A year ago, this figure had been almost identical at 1,40,354 units. A slight drop in utility vehicles and LCVs was offset by gains in hatchbacks and compact sedans.

Export volumes, meanwhile, surged. The company shipped 31,745 vehicles overseas in July 2025 – an increase of nearly 8,000 units over the corresponding month last year. The rise helped the company’s overall tally reach 1,80,526 vehicles for the month, higher than July 2024’s 1,75,041 units. Cumulatively, Maruti Suzuki has sold over 7.08 lakh vehicles in the first four months of FY 2025-26, compared to 6.96 lakh units in FY2024-25.

Toyota Posts 32,000+ Units In July 2025 – Innova, Fortuner, Glanza, Hyryder

GaadiWaadi -

Toyota Hyryder (2)

Toyota recorded a total of 32,575 units combining domestic and export figures in July 2025 with a YoY positive sales growth of 3 per cent

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) closed the month of July 2025 with a total of 32,575 units sold combining domestic and export figures. Within that number, 29,159 vehicles were dispatched to dealerships in the Indian market while another 3,416 were shipped abroad. Compared to the same month last year, when the tally stood at 31,656 units, the company ended the period with a 3 per cent year-on-year growth.

The past four months have also reflected an upward trend in sales for the Japanese auto major. Between April and July 2025, cumulative sales reached 1,19,632 units – up from 1,04,861 units in the same stretch last year. The calendar year trend has followed a similar pace. From January to July 2025, Toyota’s total volume stood at 2,07,460 units which indicates a 14 per cent improvement over the 1,81,906 vehicles recorded during the same window in 2024.

According to the company, the steady demand across key nameplates has helped sustain momentum. Varinder Wadhwa, who oversees sales, service, and used car operations, called the month’s outcome encouraging and attributed it to a consistent customer-first focus. He pointed to the brand’s expanding footprint and updates in vehicle offerings as contributing factors behind the good volumes.

One such update was a limited edition run for two of Toyota’s more accessible models. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Glanza were both launched with special Prestige-themed add-ons last month. These mild cosmetic and feature enhancements were introduced to coincide with the ongoing festive buying window and initial reception, the company claims, has been strong.

Meanwhile, the Innova HyCross made news for reasons that had less to do with features and more with safety compliance. The model secured a five-star rating under Bharat NCAP’s crash test protocol, achieving top scores for both adult and child occupant protection. The result positions the MPV as one of the few in its segment with this level of verified crashworthiness.

5 All-New Mahindra Cars Set To Debut This Month – All Key Info

GaadiWaadi -

Mahindra Vision Concepts

Mahindra has been confirmed to debut four new concepts and a new platform at the upcoming showcase on August 15 in Mumbai

Mahindra is preparing to reveal new concept vehicles on August 15, 2025 during the Freedom_NU event scheduled in Mumbai. Among the key unveilings, a near-production electric Thar concept is expected to draw significant attention. The event will also mark the public debut of a new architecture – developed specifically for Mahindra’s future SUVs.

The showcase will feature as many as four new concept models in total – Vision S, Vision T, Vision X and Vision SXT. Of these, the Vision SXT carries forward Mahindra’s Global Pik Up idea, first shown in South Africa. However, it now adopts a more evolved Scorpio N-based design language – hinting at several upgrades and future readiness.

The Mahindra Vision S concept appears to foreshadow the all-electric Scorpio N. A newly released teaser reveals certain utility-focused elements – a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, a sideways opening rear door, and a trapezoidal grab handle. The tail lamp layout has also moved lower – seemingly integrated into the bumper rather than flanking the rear window.

The upcoming electric Thar concept is expected to remain close to production in its form and proportions. Although exact launch dates remain unconfirmed, Mahindra’s plan to extend both the Scorpio N and Thar into electric territory appears to be moving quickly. Production versions of both models could be introduced within the next two years.

The Vision X, on the other hand, will act as a preview to the XEV 7e which has been spotted testing multiple times. It will be based on the XUV.e8 concept and the XUV700. Camouflaged prototypes of what appears to be the next generation Mahindra Bolero have been consistently spotted across different regions – fuelling speculation around its market debut.

Positioned to take on monocoque midsize SUVs, the new Bolero could leverage its tougher chassis to carve out a space with pricing expected to remain competitive.

Next-Generation Toyota Supra To Be Developed Independently

Toyota Supra front

Next-Generation Toyota Supra To Be Developed By Toyota Independently

An all-new Toyota Supra is on the way, with a launch planned for 2027. This time, Toyota will independently develop the model. Toyota marks a shift from the previous BMW collaboration used for the A90 Supra.

The fifth-generation A90 used a BMW-sourced 3.0-litre inline-six engine. The fifth-generation A90 Supra also shared its platform with the BMW Z4. Despite this, the Supra outsold the Z4 significantly in global markets.

According to Forbes, Toyota sold over 24,000 Supras in a five-year period. In comparison, BMW sold only 13,000 Z4s during that time. This success has motivated Toyota to build the next model completely in-house.

New Engine & Transmission

The new Supra is expected to feature a 2.0-litre turbo hybrid engine. The new Supra is expected to produce nearly 400 HP and 500 NM of torque. Toyota is also exploring the use of carbon-neutral fuels for cars.

Toyota will use a motor generator with a clutch in the hybrid system. The motor generator with a clutch will allow driving solely on electric power when needed. Toyota may offer either a 10-speed or an 8-speed automatic transmission as an option.

New Styling & Suspension

Toyota will also be in charge of the new Supra’s suspension and exterior design. Toyota’s approach will ensure that the car has a unique driving character. This dedication highlights the brand’s dedication to performance engineering.

Outlook

In 2019, Akio Toyoda declared, “Supra is back” at the Detroit Motor Show. The return marked the Japanese legend’s return after a 17-year absence. Toyota aims to carry forward that legacy with a new identity in the next Supra.
