From the new BE 07 electric SUV to the Scorpio Lifestyler and Vision S, Mahindra has a busy product pipeline ahead
Mahindra is preparing another major expansion of its SUV portfolio, with multiple new models and updates planned over the next couple of years. The company is targeting 16 new launches in India by 2031, and SUVs will continue to form the core of that strategy. Among the most interesting products on the way are the BE 07, Scorpio Lifestyler, Vision S and Thar facelift.
1. Mahindra BE 07
The BE 07 will be one of Mahindra’s next major electric SUVs and is expected to join the Born Electric range as its fourth model based on the INGLO architecture. Unlike the coupe-like BE 6 and XEV 9e, the BE 07 will have a more conventional SUV silhouette, with flush door handles and frameless doors. It is expected to get 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh battery options, with a front-mounted electric motor. Higher variants could offer a real-world range of more than 500 km, while its positioning is expected to put it up against the likes of the Tata Harrier EV.

2. Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler
The Scorpio Lifestyler will take Mahindra into the lifestyle pickup segment with a double-cab pickup based on the Scorpio N’s ladder-frame platform. The production-spec pickup has already been unveiled and will launch in India by April 2027, with prices starting below Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross, while the expected powertrain range includes the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines, with automatic and manual gearboxes and four-wheel drive expected. Mahindra has also showcased the pickup in Valley, Reef and Trail themes.
3. Mahindra Vision S
The Vision S will bring Mahindra’s new NU_IQ platform to the compact SUV segment. The concept gets a boxy, rugged design with pixel-style lighting, substantial body cladding and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. It has a 2,665 mm wheelbase, which is particularly interesting for a sub-four-metre SUV and could translate into a reasonably spacious cabin. The production model is expected to be offered with petrol and diesel engines, while Mahindra could eventually introduce hybrid and electric versions as well. Its final production name hasn’t been confirmed yet.

4. Mahindra Thar Facelift
The three-door Thar is also due for an update, with the facelift expected to borrow some styling and equipment from the larger Thar Roxx. Spy shots indicate a new six-slot grille, circular LED projector headlamps and a redesigned cabin, potentially including a 10.25-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster. Mahindra could also add features such as Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control and door-mounted power-window controls. The existing 1.5-litre diesel, 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engines are expected to continue.
