The Scorpio-N facelift, production-ready Vision S and near-production BE 07 are expected to headline Mahindra’s Independence Day showcase
Mahindra has made a habit of using Independence Day to show us what it has been cooking, and August 15, 2026 should be no different. The company is expected to host a three-day showcase this year, with multiple new products and mobility solutions likely to be unveiled. Among the biggest attractions could be the Scorpio-N facelift, Vision S and BE 07.
The Scorpio-N facelift is expected to be the most production-ready of the lot. The SUV has been spotted at stock yards already. There aren’t many changes on the facelift. It gets new alloy wheels, a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof. The existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engines are expected to continue.
The Vision S could be the more interesting reveal for buyers looking at the smaller SUV segment. The production version of the sub-four-metre SUV is expected to retain the tall, upright and rather rugged design of the concept. It will be the first Mahindra model based on the new NU_IQ architecture, which has been designed to accommodate multiple powertrains. Petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric options are therefore possible, although the exact combinations for India are yet to be confirmed. This one will only be unveiled on 15th August and will go on sale next year.

Then there is the BE 07, which could make its appearance in a near-production avatar. Unlike the Vision S, this one sits on Mahindra’s dedicated INGLO electric architecture and is expected to be positioned above the BE 6. The BE 07 measures around 4.56 metres in length and has a 2,775mm wheelbase. Mahindra’s original plan was to launch it in October 2026, so an Independence Day reveal would make perfect sense.
The BE 07 is expected to borrow its battery technology from Mahindra’s larger electric SUVs. The current XUV 9S is offered with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, while the largest pack delivers a claimed range of up to 679 km in that application. Whether the BE 07 gets exactly the same options remains to be seen, but a long-range version and possibly an AWD variant are both possibilities.

Mahindra has not officially confirmed the exact list of vehicles for the August 15 event yet, so it is worth treating the above as expectations rather than confirmed launches. Still, if the reports are accurate, this year’s Independence Day could be another big one for Mahindra. And considering what the company has unveiled on August 15 in recent years, we would not be surprised if there is another surprise or two waiting behind the curtain.
