Maruti Suzuki Ertiga topped the sales charts for 7-seaters in July 2026 while Scorpio, Innova, Bolero and XUV 7XO also posted appreciable volumes
The seven-seater market was led by the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga at 21,606 units in the month of July 2026 in India while Mahindra placed three models inside the top five with Toyota and Kia also featured prominently across the rankings. Several new products also featured in the list adding further variety to the category than ever before.
The Ertiga volume-based MPV registered 21,606 units in July – up from 16,604 units during the same month last year. Its 30.1 per cent year-on-year increase gave it a 23.8 per cent share of the seven-seater market placing it well ahead of the rest of the field. The Mahindra Scorpio secured second position at 16,009 units compared to 13,747 units in July 2025.
The SUV recorded a 16.5 per cent YoY growth and accounted for 17.6 per cent of segment sales. The Toyota Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross together recorded 9,976 units with a 9.4 per cent increase over the 9,119 units sold a year earlier. The combined tally gave the Toyota MPV and SUV range an 11 per cent segment share.

The Mahindra Bolero followed in the fourth position at 9,336 units – rising 24.3 per cent from 7,513 units in July 2025. The model held a 10.3 per cent share while the XUV 7XO occupied fifth position after recording 8,233 units. Its sales rose 16.7 per cent year-on-year from 7,054 units. The Kia Carens and Carens Clavis together registered 5,352 units.
It led to a decline of 29.6 per cent from the 7,602 units recorded during July last year. The combined tally resulted in a 5.9 per cent segment share. The Mahindra XEV 9S entered the rankings in seventh position with a domestic tally of 4,131 units. The three-row electric SUV has been performing well since its market launch a while ago in India.

The Maruti Suzuki XL6 posted one of the steepest increases in the list – reaching 3,791 units against 2,146 units a year earlier. Its 76.7 per cent growth gave the MPV a 4.2 per cent share. The Toyota Fortuner remained close to its previous year level at 3,189 units as compared to 3,233 units during the corresponding period twelve months ago.
The 1.4 per cent decline left the full-size SUV with a 3.5 per cent segment share. The Toyota Rumion recorded the highest percentage increase among the established models in the ranking. Its sales climbed to 2,632 units from 576 units a year earlier with a 356.9 per cent increase and a 2.9 per cent segment share.
The Renault Triber occupied 11th position at 1,762 units – down 11.3 per cent from 1,987 units in July 2025 while the Tata Safari followed at 1,453 units registering 17 per cent growth. The Nissan Gravite recorded 1,386 units with Hyundai Alcazar slipping to 14th position at 862 units – down 39.3 per cent from 1,419 units in July 2025. The MG Majestor completed the top 15 after recording 624 units.
