The new Brezza accounts for more than 95,000 orders as Maruti Suzuki raises SUV output and dealer inventory stands at 17 days
The order bank of Maruti Suzuki has gone past two lakh units as of October 1, 2026 ahead of the festive season’s sales period. The recently introduced facelifted Brezza accounted for more than 95,000 bookings and moved close to the 1 lakh mark. The dealer network held inventory equal to 17 days of sales at the start of October which left relatively little stock against the existing booking total.
The Brezza also recorded more than 15,000 unit sales in the month of September. The company has raised output of the compact SUV at its Kharkhoda plant in Haryana where one of the new production lines handles the model. The monthly SUV supply has increased from about 50,000 units to 56,000 units as the largest carmaker in the country works through the booking backlog ahead of the festive period.
The Brezza’s order split shows a close contest between CNG and turbo petrol versions. The underbody CNG derivative accounts for 40 per cent of bookings and the 1.0 litre turbo petrol takes 38 per cent. The 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol contributes the remaining 22 per cent. The CNG version currently holds the largest individual share by two percentage points.

The refreshed Baleno added another 25,000 sales during its first month. The first half of FY27 also delivered an 86 per cent rise for entry level hatchbacks, a 40 per cent increase for mid hatchbacks and a 56 per cent gain for SUVs. The figures show that the higher volumes were spread across different PV categories as Maruti Suzuki’s SUVs, hatchbacks and CNG offerings are garnering plenty of attention.
The September sales total reached 2,36,013 units across domestic business, supplies to other OEMs and exports for the Indo-Japanese manufacturer. The domestic tally including LCVs stood at 1,85,252 units and another 6,542 units went to other OEMs. The export numbers reached 44,219 units and rose about 5 per cent on a YoY basis. The April to September export total reached 2.32 lakh units – up 12.2 per cent over the corresponding period last year.

The company also accounted for 52 per cent of India’s total exports from April to August. The shipment volume over those five months exceeded the aggregate exports of the other manufacturers. The Kharkhoda plant now carries a larger share of Brezza production as Maruti raises SUV supply to 56,000 units per month. The booking bank above 2 lakh units and Brezza orders above 95,000 units leave the company with substantial deliveries to complete during the festivities.
